  1. You were explicitly told by Celebrity you were getting nothing back? Or you haven’t seen the FCC show up yet? Did you go through the proper steps to notify them you had COVID or were you a no show?
  2. They have only used females for the past several years.
  3. Since distillers have to sell to distributors on a state by state basis, just because you can get it locally, does not mean Celebrity's distributors can or will provide it to Celebrity. If they can't get it, they can't get it. I suspect the distributors greatly pulled back or elminiated their supply of premium liquors and wines during the shutdown since Celebrity didn't need it and haven't adjusted since. Then it flows the opposite direction upstream. The distributor doesn't need the product so the distiller pulls back the supply.
  4. It sounds like the booking has already been made. Did you actually go through the Group sales department or did everyone book independently? There are people assigned to assist with actual group bookings who you should have already worked with. If everyone booked independently you will not get the same service. You can try to call 800-963-0311 but it sounds like they may not be able to offer much at this point.
  5. Sounds gross in theory, but where is there more exposure? When someone grabs a single piece of bacon with their fingers or when hundreds of people use the same tongs to grab a piece of bacon? The whole served buffet concept really didn’t do much in the way of COVID prevention. Noro? Maybe. If anything it keeps people standing next to each other in line longer than they normally would have.
  6. The itineraries are a bit unique. The only October cruises on Beyond are the last 9 night France/Italy/Spain cruise, the TA, then the 9 night New Jersey/Bermuda/Aruba/Curacao itinerary which has always been expensive. But to answer the question, yes, people are willing to pay for it. Whether it's worth it to someone else and their circumstances is up for debate but ultimately it doesn't really matter.
  7. $13.3k for a Deluxe for seven nights? No way. You had to be looking at the 14 night itinerary. In my mind my number would be about $4k all in for two for 7 nights in YC. Which is probably an unrealistic number at this point. If you think "the IT" and the customer service is bad on Celebrity, just try MSC. It's laughable it's so poor. And that's ignoring the fact that the ships are decorated with finishes that look like were pulled from a 70's Vegas casino.
  8. You won't notice a difference until you jump from non-suite to suite and start missing the little things. But those are things you may miss, not anyone else. No one in Luminae will laugh at you for entering the MDR (or maybe they will?) Careful. You may start a fight calling Viking high end.
  9. This is where the issue is. When there is a monetary difference in flights it complicates things. Celebrity can't just put you on a new flight that costs more without getting the airline to agree to adjust the price. If your travel is more than 60 days away they still quote 45 days for these things to be resolved. The other thing to watch out for is if you have a request in to change a flight and in the mean time yet another schedule change occurs, your initial request may disappear. I just dealt with a 10am departure that was changed to 10:10am. It wiped out the request to change to a 12:50pm.
  10. If the wait time or queue gets too long, it disables it so you don't sit there and wait and wait.
  11. It just popped up for me. It makes pretty solid sense. If there isn't a rep available it temporarily disables it. Otherwise the gripe would be that no one is there to answer the chat.
  12. There are nearly 290 itineraries through 3/30/23 that are at 100%....they shouldn't be too hard to find. Maybe if you are looking at a unique sailing or something? Definitely not many that would not qualify though.
  13. They are fine aside from getting warm pretty quickly. No different than beer that is served in aluminum bottles at sports events.
  14. Definitely no pullman beds. You will have essentially no space to walk with the second bed pulled out. Definitely price two IV's or an IV + inside. With today's rates there can't be much savings by putting four in a cabin.
  15. Right now there are about 128 sailings through end of Sept that have some sort of resident rate available.
  16. On Holiday sailings its not uncommon at all to see no packages or discounts.
  17. Cruise Only rates are not changing (for now?). There are three main rate types - Retreat is unchanged, All Included and Cruise Only. The LocalLux rates will be treated as All Included.
  18. After months of duress, frustration, panic, rage emails, confusion, semantics, philosophical debate and dissecting the Old English dictionary to define the word "Always", the official name is being changed to ALL Included in a few weeks. Indulge and Elevate rates also go away with no apparent replacement. Enjoy. And please don't dare to call it Always Included any more!
  19. Elevate and Indulge are being discontinued in a few weeks. I have a feeling this was related to the retooling of fares in preparation to eliminate those two rates.
  20. I can take a stab… You can pick your location as long as their are open cabana. Service was very attentive. Comfortable is subjective. We had no complaints. The cushions seems setup in a way they were less susceptible to wind blowing them around like on Edge and Apex. Drinks were plentiful. Lunch and snacks were quick. For Caribbean cruises I don’t think the price changes on port vs sea day. You can sometimes get a multi day discount is you ask Guest Services. However the discount is not that substantial. I enjoy them but I would never consider paying $3,500 for the week.
