  1. Well maybe they haven't considering what they publish on their web site but from what I know, Princess is allowing people to dress as casually as they wish on any night, like it or not. This provides a situation of fantasy for everyone.
  2. Why switch cruise lines when when Princess has joined the other cruise lines now having the same dress requirements?
  3. Everyone has their own ideas of what a fantasy evening is. Princess has at least allowed us to now choose what it will be without that mandatory dress style.
  4. But that's your choice. Enjoy it to the fullest. Just don't try to make others dress up in what you feel is appropriate for the cruise when Princess has finally accepted the fact that there are people who like to dress casually on their vacation.
  5. In your opinion it's selfish but in the opinions of many others on the ship they feel that why should they have to dress up to please others in the DR. It's not necessary and serves no purpose other than to give some people a feeling of a fantasy evening for an hour or so. If that's what your after then go for it, but just realize that Princess no longer will force people to join in your style of choosing.
  6. From the sound of your post, it sounds as though you'd feel uncomfortable unless you dress up to please the formalists in the crowd. Then by all means, drag along the formal clothing to please them. It'll make their dining experience more enjoyable. On the other hand, half the crowd will dress to please themselves by dressing casually with some possibly even wearing shorts. It's your choice. Princess will allow just about anything lately.
  7. Will either of you be posting the patters?
  8. Is that a current price for them? I once was told that if they wanted it they were charged $60 per month.
  9. But did you try it when disconnected from their internet? Princess does provide free access to WhatsApp for the crew so possibly it might work for passengers as well without an internet connection. {only intranet} ?? Princess Cruises is rolling out free WhatsApp access for crew on select ships. https://cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/2020/02/princess-to-roll-out-free-whatsapp-for-crew/#:~:text=Princess Cruises is rolling out, roll out further over time.

  11. Not if they have to keep the restaurant open and not that many people show up. They'll simply go elsewhere & eat food that's included with the base fare. As good as the food was at Alfredo's, I won't be considering it any longer.
  12. No way, but Princess would certainly like people to think so.
  13. Yes, they used to give them away but they don't do so until you listen to their sales pitch first, which might take a while as I recall.
  14. I've never seek kids in the lounge but I suspect that unless someone actually complains, they won't say a word.
  15. Oh, they'll always have something scheduled to do, it just that its pale in comparison to a sea day.
  16. This is especially true when the ship stops at any port.
  17. We've seen shorts being worn many times in the past year or so BUT it could happen. You could always have your wife be seated while you go back & change into long pants.
  18. Hopefully they haven't blocked this procedure from working on the Sky Princess.
  19. It's always been allotted per cabin.
  20. We usually only bring 1 liter size bottles but one time we brought a 2 liter bottle. The only problem is that you lose shelf space.
  21. I think most of the coffee on Princess is just to strong for my taste. I can't wait to try the Lavazza coffee.
