  1. @JVes @Kruise_Kat and any other first-time cruisers reading this thread, Please remember what I said on this thread back in July: Reviews from first-time cruisers are so very important. Those reading that are going to be first time cruisers can "see" what it will be like from another first-timer and hopefully abate any fears. Those of us that have "been around the block" numerous times also LOVE reading first-timer's reviews too! For me, they always bring back fond memories of my first and the wonderment of it all. Happy sails, Host Kat
  2. @CruiseMountain I suggest you research the Cruising Technology forum. Lots of SIM card information there. I also suggest you use the Follow feature on any new topics/threads you start or any other topics/ threads where you are interested in the new replies. That way you will not have to go looking to see if there are new posts because they will come looking for you as notifications. If you need information on how to do it, please click here: How to: Follow Topics & Forums (Subscribed Threads/Forums Info) Hope this will be helpful! Happy sails, Host Kat
  3. Hello @dacf Your new topic/thread has been moved to the correct forum. Happy sails, Host Kat
  4. Hello @truenorth88 and welcome to the Cruise Critic message boards! Thank you for your new topic on the Ask a Cruise Question forum! However, it is the forum for general questions regarding cruising. Your inquiry concerns a specific cruise line and is off topic there. To help you out I have moved your new topic to the Princess Cruises forum where it will be on topic. The majority of your fellow Cruise Critic members that have sailed Princess frequent this forum and provide feedback here. Browse through the thread titles on this forum looking for threads of interest. You will probably find your fellow Cruise Critic members have already posted questions and received answers that may be of interest to you. The Cruise Critic website and message boards are both great resources for new as well as experienced cruisers and we are glad you found us! Please feel free to browse the Cruise Critic Community categories list for the various forums. Please read a few threads in the different forums to get a feel for what each forum is about. Make sure you read any pinned threads (aka Stickies) on the top of the first page of threads in most forums. You will find very important instructions or information there. Please remember the following portion from the Guidelines we all agreed to follow when registering for our free Cruise Critic memberships: Browse Before You Post Browse a topic first to see if your question has already been asked or answered by someone else. Also, many of the major cruise lines forums have a FAQ (Frequently Asked Question) topic that has been created by our members. Give that a try first. Browsing is your #1 best resource! Please post your messages in an appropriate topic so that you'll receive the best possible response. It is very time consuming to move misplaced messages that are in the wrong topics. Anytime you need to start a new thread/topic on a forum, first make sure you are in the correct forum for your topic. Word your new thread title in a way to help the members know exactly the information you seek. This greatly helps the members browsing through the thread titles and if they know the information, they will reply to you. Also, it is best to limit each inquiry to only one topic such as one cruise line, one ship, one port of call, etc. and of course, on the correct forum. You will get more replies that way. Be sure to mention your cruise line, ship, port or sail date in your inquiry if that sort of information will help your fellow Cruise Critic members help you with their replies. Anytime you are reading a thread and want to address a particular post already in the thread, be sure to use the Quote feature on that post as I did yours. That way all reading the thread will be aware of what your post concerns. You then type your reply UNDER the light blue quote box. When you are done with your post, click the blue Submit Reply button. If the member has used the Follow feature on the thread, they will get a notification that you have quoted their post. Be sure to locate and post on the specific Roll Call thread for your line, ship and sail date. For information about our Roll Calls, please read What is a Roll Call? Everything you Need to Know and How To: Create A New Roll Call. For more information about our famous Roll Calls, please read the Roll Calls and Our Policy Regarding Facebook and Roll Calls sections in the Guidelines we all agreed to follow when registering for our free Cruise Critic memberships. We also have the following Cruise Critic article from last year you might enjoy: 8 Reasons to Join a Cruise Critic Roll Call The specific Roll Call thread for your cruise line, ship and sail date is the ONLY place on the Cruise Critic message boards where you and your fellow Roll Call thread members are allowed to post personal ads about sharing private tours, excursions or transportation with each other to save money. There is a "captive audience" there since you are all sailing together! Your fellow Roll Call thread members may have important information posted in your Roll Call thread. Especially those that have sailed your line, ship or itinerary before. Also, they may have already posted private share requests that may interest you. If you ever need technical help in regard to using the Cruise Critic message board software, go to the Need Help Using the Forums? Check Here! forum. You will see a large amount of "How to..." pinned threads toward the top of the forum's first page. Also, browse through the threads in the forum looking for threads of interest. Again, you will probably find your fellow Cruise Critic members have already posted questions and received answers that may be of interest to you. So sorry this is so long, but I sincerely hope this will be helpful to someone new to posting on our message boards. We are glad to have you aboard Cruise Critic! Happy sails, Host Kat
  5. @YoHoHo I have just a laptop so I cannot help with mobile phones. Perhaps something in the following oldie but goodie threads from this forum will be helpful: No search this forum on mobile? Search on "this forum" on mobile?
  6. So sorry, but that is something I cannot do as a non-paid volunteer. Only a paid Administrator is able to add another ship to the NCL Roll Call forums. Please note the following from the Guidelines we all agreed to follow when registering for our free Cruise Critic memberships: "... If you have any questions or comments regarding our posting guidelines or any content found on our message boards please be sure and let me know. I'll be happy to discuss them with you. LauraS Senior Manager, Community community@cruisecritic.com ..." Please send your email to LauraS, Senior Manager, Community at community@cruisecritic.com. Also, please send the email from your Cruise Critic email address of record and be sure to mention your Cruise Critic user name. This is so your membership can be verified, and reply sent to your Cruise Critic email address of record. LauraS should be able to fulfill your request. Happy sails, Host Kat

  15. Hello @Brabgirl and welcome to the Cruise Critic message board! Thank you for your new topic on the Ask a Cruise Question forum! However, it is the forum for general questions regarding cruising. 16. @grammawmoses Hello again! Your other new thread also started on the Need Help Using the Forums? Check Here! forum was also moved by another Host to the Ports of Call - British Isles/Western Europe forum. Here is a clip of the redirect now showing on the Help forum: Any time one of your threads has been moved to another forum, just click your thread title that appears over Topic was moved to forum (Title of New Forum Here) showing on the old forum. It is a redirect that will take you directly to the thread's new and more correct location. Once in the new location, look toward the top of the page where it will show you the new forum name or new thread name if your thread was merged into an existing thread such as another thread started by someone else but is the same topic as yours. Here is a clip of what is showing at the top of this forum: As for starting a new thread on any forum, make sure you are on the correct forum. As I stated before: Hope this additional information will be helpful! Host Kat
  17. Hello @debbiejohncruise IIRC for tablets, phones & iPads, they need to be held in landscape orientation to see the Search feature. If using a laptop or desktop, be sure you have used the correct location in the drop-down menu for your search. Here is a clip of my choices: And sometimes you need to enter multiple words surrounded by quotation marks - like, "Miami hotels" - you will get different results than if you entered just the two words. This is because quotation marks are used for phrase searching. That way your results will just be posts containing the phrase "Miami hotels" and not ALL the posts containing the word Miami as well as ALL the posts containing the word hotels. Also, I know you know what you are looking for... but sometimes I try to think in the way someone else would have posted the information. Then use word phrases with quotation marks as mentioned above. And when you see the list of results, the first thing I do is to change the SORT BY from Relevancy to Date so the newer results will be at the top of the list. Here is another clip. Hope this will be helpful! Host Kat
