  1. And removal of make up too. I like having fresh towels in the evening.
  2. The actual turndown of the bed is only a small part of it. For us, the important part is having fresh towels, rubbish removed and a general tidy up. Princess were still doing it in June/July.
  3. Non-urgent wait here is currently over 3 weeks which is terrible in my opinion.
  4. I always wonder whether mildly ‘rude’ adults have hidden problems. Like children, they have no filter. And having seen so many children with problems over the years, I know that these problems don’t suddenly disappear as they become adults.
  5. Oh I don’t know. The perks of the job more than make up for the lack of ‘retirement’. And in all honesty, nothing in our lives has really changed when you think about it, apart from a few names, titles and symbols. We were out and about in Porthmadog this morning, and life went on as before.
  6. I was researching flights to Iceland with a class of 11 year olds a few years ago - purely theoretical. They were working in pairs on laptops and making notes. We decided on a date quite a few months away, and within a few minutes, the prices started increasing. They were gobsmacked but we had a memorable lesson!
  7. I think our trip to Guernica was also from Bilbao one time. Highly recommended,
  8. We enjoyed the Guggenheim - interior and exterior! I seem to remember that we also visited a transporter style bridge just outside Bilbao. First time in La Rochelle we just ambled around the town. Second time, we took an excursion to Santes and a very interesting chateau.
  9. I think you’re right. We would love to sail with FO from Liverpool but the prices are too high.
  10. I climbed to the top of Cader Idris aged 19 and had terrible cramp on the way down.
  11. A second cabin was upgraded from inside to outside on Azura (I think) about 8 years ago. The children were delighted!
  12. I would also welcome a coffee voucher as I don’t like alcohol either.
  13. We were supposed to visit Casablanca on Oceana (I think) a few years ago and had to upgrade our Europe wide insurance to worldwide. As it turned out, we were unable to dock there due to the weather.
  14. I always booked excursions for my parents and our children but had to use their booking reference to do that on my computer. I couldn’t do it from my booking reference. I used to book them all straight after each other just to ensure that there were places for all 7 of us on the same excursion.
  15. Hamburg - Miniatur World. I loved that place!
  16. I don’t know then sorry. We used to jig things around when our children were under 18 and got additional cards on a few cruises so that we could all use the balcony cabin and not just the inside opposite.
  17. Exactly. I was pleased that this service was provided on Enchanted Princess recently and I really hope that P&O begin to do it again.
  18. Mine arrived today too.
  19. I wonder whether they’ve changed to emailing a copy after you return home like Princess? It took a fortnight to arrive though.
  20. Same here. Don’t want to speak English every night!
  21. That’s what I thought too. What a disappointment again for 2023.
  22. Ha! I think you can, especially as you have post-covid experience. That’s important to some people! But whatever you do, don’t make comparisons. Some don’t like that either!!
