Hi all, I am in Australia, check in date for our RC cruise is the 22/10. This is today here and check in is not open? Wondering if anyone knows if check in dates go off the American calendar? If so, 12am on the 22nd in America will be 2pm on the 22nd in Australia. I am guessing correctly check in will open then? Can anyone shed light on what to expect on how the boarding times will work and the best way to get the earliest boarding times. Thank you guys! Loyal to Royal!!!

D+ Coupon book? (Still a thing?)

Yes, you are correct. Like myself I never cruise other lines and also believe we will never hit the big "P". Either way we are also happy using the DC. -

Cruise insurance for 75 + ?
SuitesRbest replied to cruiser3775's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
Southern Cross Travel is the one we went with. -
We had a notification on our app this morning to check in 88 days out. We could put our PP and international Vax cert and on board CC. The arrival time at port and boarding time was not open yet for some reason? Cannot seem to be able to go and check the detes we put now, weird!!!

Such a pitty they changed this in my opinion. The DL used to be full and it was good to talk and mingle with all. Will not see that again unfortunately!! -
More cruises or nicer cabins?
SuitesRbest replied to cruisin from florida's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We have our fun with exactly the same cabins. Balcony, Oceanview and yes the occasional JS. This has served well as we are now D+. (well after the next cruise anyhoo) We will definitely look to save some moola $ when we retire to do more cruiser's rather than fork out extra for cabin upgrades. The old cruise saying, you only have to sleep, change and shower in ya cabin!!!! -
Royal Caribbean - This is completely unfair!
SuitesRbest replied to soremekun's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We have always watched our points. We became D on the last 2 days a few cruises ago. We are now hunting down the D+ status which we will get on our next cruise thanks to the Australian double points program this year. Hence why we booked a JS on an 18 night cruise which will give us a whopping 72 points in one hit. This will take to D+ this year. -

Cruisline vs private tours
SuitesRbest replied to willtup5's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
I would use cruise line tours at the moment however, give it a couple months and much will change guaranteed. When they do we always research and way it all up. -
Cruise insurance for 75 + ?
SuitesRbest replied to cruiser3775's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
We just bought cruise insurance today. This is for our Honolulu to Brisbane 18 night cruise, it was hexi ($750 with $100 excess) although it covers 20k Covid cancellation with pre existing type 2 diabetes condition and with all other regular stuff. I believe they cover anyone aged under 100 years of age. Southern Cross travel insurance is the company. https://www.scti.com.au/ -
New Zealand cruise ports opening up?
SuitesRbest replied to vinonme2's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
Lets just get on with it, reckon most country's will have bugar all restrictions by end of year in my opinion. -
We are Diamond however, we always get the DBP. We try the coffee everywhere first morning or 2 and decide which one wins. If its the DL so be it, if it is Lattitude so be it. What ever floats our boat.

We arrive in Honolulu on the Monday and cruise out on the Thursday in October on the Quantum of the seas heading to Brisbane Australia. Does anyone know the Royal Caribbean protocol for the Covid test prior to boarding and how do we do this? Thanks in advance
