  1. Generally they have had some good "black friday sales" for many things (dining, beverages, excursions etc). But no way to know for this year, and obviously not specifically to any ship or sailing. Just start checking and watching.
  2. Makes sense. There is a LOT less activity on the roll calls now compared to pre covid.
  3. If you get to "Prime" at the casino you'll start getting offers on free cruises. Plus you get one free 7 night each year. Inside cabins of course 🙂 And free drinks in the casino. Not sure but I think to hit prime you need 2500 points which might be 12,500 played. If you hit prime, calling the casino people is a pleasure. They actually answer the phone quickly and are very helpful on bookings etc. Also FYI, if you play enough on a given cruise there will be additional rewards such as specific dollar discounts on future bookings or a free cruise if enough is played. Of course there are restrictions and rules to be aware of. Wife likes to play and 3 of our 6 cruises this coming winter are "free". Of course not really free 🙂
  4. We usually give most anywhere a second chance. Southport was such a chaotic, madhouse sh&tshow we've never been back. Food wasn't great either.
  5. If you're first time cruisers, Adventure is a nice medium size ship and has the royal promenade.
  6. It's been a few years, I'd guess maybe 1/4 mile. But you can stop and head down playing in river and pools anytime you want if it's too much. I assume one of the pools in the river is the actual "blue hole", but really what it amounts to is you climb up along the river, then head back down jumping in pools, sliding down, etc.
  7. Agree, we have NEVER uploaded a pic 🙂
  8. Actually it's not fake, it's a real waterfall. Crowded yes, fake no. That said, we've been to both and I'd choose blue hole too.
  9. Yes your tickets will say where to be and when. It couldn't be any simpler. Normally you meet either on the pier or somewhere onboard like the theater.
  10. It's a possibility, not a "high probability".
  11. Inflation is higher than the 8-3% bs you are reading in the media. Have you been to the grocery or gas station lately?
  12. And you've never posted a simple opinion on something at cruise critic? Wow, relax.
  13. Agree, never understood the desire to take food off a ship..... There is food everywhere at every port......
  14. First time on Grandeur was last winter, great time and nice ship. Doing another 10 nights on her in January.
  15. No one is on the ship and they're free there. Also plenty of free ones on coco cay if you get there on time. RCCL must get a good laugh when people pay for a chair.
  16. Agree, we'd have no interest in a CP balcony.
  17. Wifi on Grandeur last winter was pretty bad. Had to roam the ship looking for decent reception, usually near the centrum or toward the back near the diamond lounge. That said, we loved the ship overall and will be there for 10 nights next winter. You can step on an elevator without waiting 10 minutes or packing in with 10 people. Windjammer isn't packed and chaotic. Deck chairs are available. We got on Symphony after Grandeur: Windjammer packed beyond belief, elevators a nightmare all day and all night, people laying on the floor on upper decks because loungers full at 7AM. We'll never do Oasis class and larger again.
  18. That sums it up nicely. Did it once and won't ever again.
