  1. You can indeed test the day of a cruise. The reason I say this is that I've done it. The confusion often lies in the instruction of counting days. To Figure out at least 2 days you don't count the current day - and count back 2 days. Thus if your cruise is on Saturday - You can test anytime from 12:01 Thursday morning until boarding the ship.
  2. My favorite is Millennium. She was the first ship we ever sailed on 22 years ago. I was apprehensive of cruise ship travel and I loved it and became addicted to Cruising. I guess Millennium is like ones first true love and holds a warm spot in your heart forever.
  3. I feel better knowing I wasn't the only one that couldn't figure out what they were asking for. I later realized that on the Outside Box the QR code is to download the App not to identify the test.
  4. When they started cruising after Covid the prohibited down-line embarkation due to Covid. To my knowledge that is still in effect buy my well have been dropped in some countries. I'm sure others will correct me if I'm wrong. I recall back in the fall with the SkyWest problem we had over 300 guest miss the ship and they were not permitted to join the cruise at the next port. We sailed with only about 400 passengers.
  5. Here's a really neat way with little work- Go to Google Maps and put in Civitavecchia and then from the map click Directions and choose the Transit Icon (a train) and where you want to go. (Roma Termini) It will show you the train schedule. When I just did it the first train is about 4:30am. You can choose the departure day and time to fine tune. From the Cruise Ship they have a free shuttle to a parking lot just out side of town. From there you buy a bus ticket (a couple Euros) and it drops you off right at the train station. All the attendants speak English and bus depart about every 15-30 minutes. Takes about an hour to 1 1/2 hours to Rome depending on which station you are going to.
  6. If they assigned it to your TA when you booked it, it should be available to you agent immediately. It is technically not transferred as they are listed as the agent when you booked. If you booked it and chose to have it assigned to your own name with no TA listed, you can transfer it to your agent and this usually goes through in 2-3 days.
  7. While I have never traveled on Amtrak my understanding is many of the trains have Internet Service as well as I would think you would have access via your Smart Phone. Personally I would pick up a couple of the Proctored Tests and do the test while sitting at your seat on the train using the table. I would probably plan on doing it near a major town or if the train has an extended stop. While you can do it anytime in the 2 days prior to sailing you could even do it on the day of your cruise after you arrive at the departure city. The test takes only 15-20 minutes and results are sent to you via email or download from the testing company portal.
  8. My experience has been that you see the Gift as a card on the first day. It should also be on your account at that time but have seen it also take a day to be applied.
  9. Things are often the same but could be different if arriving from an non-Eu country. My experience is they usually begin walk off's around 6:00 - 6:15 AM. They then start calling numbers. They usually ask you vacate your room by 8:00 so they can begin preparation of rooms for the next cruise.
  10. I loved the one the sent last nigh for a Captain's Curated tour of the Olive fields .... but it was for an Alaska cruise.
  11. Shouldn't be a problem. What they scan during the test is the QR code on the test card itself not the box. I found that if you enter the test via the eMed Site they do not ask you to scan the box. They just ask what type of test and then send you to the Navica logon . The box scan is only to direct you to the proctored test. When on the Navica site it kept rejecting my scan and finally found out they didn't want the QR Code on the box they wanted the bar code with the test type on it. I though it was a problem with my PC.
  12. Great to hear you made it. This year is the first time that we began flying in a day early and have certainly been glad we have. Ii is so much more relaxed and give us a nice day to relax and enjoy the departure city. I just booked a flight for April 2023 and booked a day early.
  13. Generally 9:00 but could be slightly earlier or later. They initially make a final call to disembark and then begin the B2B process once they zero out the ship.
  14. The only time I was able to move perks was when I accepted a Shift Offer to the same cruise the next year. Other cruises I received either 100% credit or a 125% FCC. When booking with a FCC no additional perks were shifted.
  15. The only reimbursement I'm missing is the cancelled cruise due to testing positive on the B2B. I immediately got the port and tax but was assured they processed the request. I received back the reimbursements for quarantine etc. but was split in 5 separate refunds which was difficult to match up. I'll ping them again on Monday and see if I can get them moving.
  16. Engagement Center was the group that processed my reimbursement. Gotten about 2/3 of it back so far.
  17. There is no longer testing required to return to the U.S. so they would not require a certificate of recovery or even a test. Back in May when we tested positive that wasn't the case but had to wait until 10 days after testing positive to get a COR.
  18. I was trying to look up your cruise but took some searching to figure it out. Nice cruise for sure. Was it difficult to put all those cruises together? I'm surprised Celebrity isn't selling it as a World Cruise like the Rome to New Zealand in 20223
  19. My experience is that there is no schedule or consistency. It get's more accurate close to final payment date and gets more updates the closer to sailing dates. On a cruise in 60 days they just opened a lot more excursions.
  20. https://www.celebritycruises.com/cruise-packages/vacation-packages/cruise-and-land-tours You can get some of the details from the link ... click the tour and / or destination and follow the links. Will provide lots of information. I dug up some of the documents from our 2016 land tour (old but gives a good idea) This one shows the extra excursions and cost but remember that was 5 years ago. 21. Curious as to you remark about Black Falcon Cruise Terminal is NOT a place where you want to hang out. My one experience was on two cruises with a Stop in Boston and on one grabbed an Uber just outside the port and the other I went on an early morning 10 mile walk returning to the port. I really didn't feel unsafe or in a dangerous area. Having been a former Boston resident you could shed some light to us that may have missed any apparent danger or what we should be aware of.
  22. To my knowledge all the ships have both. By the way they no longer call it Xcelerate and Surf. I guess it caused so much confusion they now call it Basic and Premium. The speed difference is more of a metering system that only allow basic a certain amount of bandwidth. As before speed will also be dependent on number of people using it simultaneously.
  23. My experience is the show immediately on the browser version of Celebrity but don't come over until anywhere between 2 weeks per-cruise up until day of boarding. Never had a problem with them eventually showing up.
  24. Good luck on you flight. I have a little experience flying being a 2 Million Miller on United. Cancellations are really challenging and like other things on re-booking the available flights at your choice are often dependent on your Status and price paid. Suggestions: Have your airline phone preloaded in your phone. Immediately when you hear your flight is cancelled try first to log on via internet and select change reservation. It may or may not let you since your already checked in. If not and a member of the Airline Club head there immediately and see what they can do. At same time try to call the airline (probably long wait time). Finally to give yourself peace of mind go to this website: FlightAware ( you can also load it on your phone. https://flightaware.com/ Search for your flight - You can see the performance of the flight for the past 2 weeks. On the Right under Flight Details it will show Average Delay for both departure and arrivals Now finally what I keep an eye on is right under word Flight Detail... in blue Select Track Inbound Flight. This is where you will get your first clue that something might be problematic. e.g. if you inbound is arriving after your planned departure. Instead of actual flight you can search on Departure and Arrival airport. Looks like a number of American flights cancelled today.
  25. Power-strips with surge protectors are prohibited and are often confiscated and sent to the naught room. I picked up a couple of tese USB ports and then recently discovered Octopus Charging cables and really solved the problem - Each cable has 2x Iphone, 1 Micro USB and 1 type C. They also sell different configuration and one with up to 19 connectors which is in my mind overkill.
