  1. I did this looking for St Kitts and came up with this
  2. If you are happy with ship's water, Iced Tea and lemonade with the occasional drink or pop, then probably not worth it. If you want to have specialty coffee (spiked or not), bottled water, soda, wine (although you can bring your own) or perhaps want to try a new drink or two, then Cheers might be worth it. If you don't think it will be worth it but don't want to worry about a huge bill at the end of your trip, consider adding Cruise Cash to your account before you sail.
  3. I think OP was referring to the Cyber Monday deal. You could get 10% by getting 2 wifi packages or an excursion and wifi.
  4. If you've already booked an excursion and WiFi, can't you cancel both, the repurchase at the discount?
  5. That's so interesting... in 2018, we sailed on a different cruise line on their newest and largest ship... not the inaugural sailing but a few months after. In chatting with our servers in the MDR and our cabin steward, we understand that line pulled their best employees from other ships to put them on their newest ships inaugural season. Strange that Carnival would have any inexperienced crew on such an important voyage.
  6. Like some have said here, I love sitting on the balcony, listening to the waves... early in the morning, mid afternoon, in the evening. If the pandemic and lockdowns taught me anything, I'm not a people person, unless they're my people. And speaking of pandemic, with what happened to the guests on Diamond Princess, if something goes sideways while I'm on vacation, I don't want to be confined to an inside cabin.
  7. Not to rain on your parade, but not everyone celebrates Thanksgiving. And some of us even celebrate it in October 🤯. We usually start with Christmas decorations after Remembrance Day (Nov 11).
  8. As a woman, I get chastised for saying it's not hard to break even for the cost of Cheers, even on a port day. A little kahlua in my coffee in the morning while I'm getting ready, maybe another at breakfast. Stop by a bar once back on board for a drink to take to the room, glass or two of wine at dinner, then a couple of cocktails in the evening. While I don't think I've ever hit 15, on a sea day, 9 or 10 is not unreasonable for me and 6-7 on a port day. I love/hate the implication that if I drink the 5-6 drinks each day to make Cheers worth it, I must be an alcoholic 🙃
  9. Awesome to hear... loving that we'llbe able to watch hockey! By chance did you find out if RFTB can do the Frog's Island Iced Tea?
  10. At least you often get to watch NFL. We're huge NHL fans but have had no way to watch any games onboard. Last time we were on Carnival (pre- COVID), we were told the sports bar couldn't show hockey because it wasn't carried on ESPN. I see ESPN+ has NHL games so holding out hope for our January cruise.
  11. Does the Red Frog have Frog's Island Iced Tea? Had that on Magic and Sunshine... hoping to be able to enjoy them again in Jan.
  12. I've been hoping to see them as well for our Mardi Gras cruise in Jan, but so far, nothing.
  13. I loved reading all your posts... we sail on Mardi Gras in Jan and now I have to find Zoltan to get an Almond Joy... I mean a Creamy Coconut Martini with chocolate 😂 How do you sign up for the mixology class? I wouldn't have thought of it but it sounds like fun.
  14. I was able to finally get it... have to go into the details, then your cabin shows up and you can add to cart. Perhaps that's the way it is with all excursions... I don't think I've tried to add an excursion straight from the main page 🤷‍♀️
  15. I've tried with my phone and computer, going both directly through FTTF link and Shore Excursions. Never get the ability to chose person/cabin, and not going into my cart... any ideas?
  16. Thanks... wasn't sure... it didn't have table art so thought it might be more current.
  17. Can't remember exactly the cost but 7-day Western Med balcony on Symphony of the Seas (inaugural season) was $4 or 6k (in Canadian dollars). More recently, $5,300 CAD for 10-day aft balcony on Grand Princess (booked two months before sailing).
  18. This is what I found when I searched - https://www.carnival.com/~/media/Images/explore/dining/menus/fahrenheit-555-menu.pdf Also note it looks like the lobster is Maine lobster 🦞.
  19. I've never had, but now going to try it on my next cruise!
  20. I found this file, but now can't find where I got it. 🙄 B2B_TA_Status Match_Conversion Table.pdf
  21. At YEG, we've used NEXUS cards at security for domestic flights. That may be because domestic and non-US international flights go through the same security gate. I've also used NEXUS in Kelowna... not sure if there are any international flights from Kelowna.
  22. We're the same here in Alberta... like Texas, we have some of the best beef around. After tasting the Wagu rib-eye, I'm honestly not sure what all the hype is about. There are a number of steak houses around where we live (Keg, Sawmill, Ruth's Chris) and while thet serve delicious food, we simply cannot justify the cost when my husband prepares it just as good... sometimes better. When we do go out, it is for food we can't or don't prepare at home, and if for convenience, it's not at the prices of a good steakhouse.
  23. I agree that going out for steak where we are is setting yourself up for disappointment... my husband has BBQ or smoking down to a science, and even if we go to a high end steakhouse, we always feel that it wasn't worth the higher cost. Had the Wagu Rib-eye at Hell's Kitchen in Vegas (US$89) and honestly felt like we could have bought a "regular" rib-eye at our local Costco for CAD$25-30, and had just as good of a meal at home. That being said, we have started treating ourselves to the steakhouse for one meal each cruise, but it is also only 2 of us. I couldn't imagine doing it for us and our kids (who are now adults and fully appreciative of a great cut of steak).
  24. My apologies... the rates I was looking are the bank rates I believe. Banks and CC bump their rates so they profit.
