  1. I find this amusing considering you said you haven't cruised on Crystal in over 10 years.

    Not necessarily on Navigator.
  3. Not better than Crystal but definitely much better than SS. Seabourn also had excellent staff.
  4. So if i didn’t have to use their car service, I’d still have to drive one hour from my house to get on a plane of their choice versus going 10 minutes from my house.
  5. I’m talking about the ship layouts which I actually prefer. Look at the deck plans and you’ll see they are keeping the SHIP layout pretty much the same You are correct. I don’t yet know the new CABIN layouts but do know they are increasing the size of the majority of them. They may not be comparable. They may actually be better than the cabin we stayed in on SB and SS. I preferred the old Crystal PH to either regular cabin on SS and SB. All 3 were approximately the same size.
  6. No we did not for a good reason. First they wanted us to use their car service to take us to an airport one hour and 5 miles out of their 50 mile limit for using the car service. Meaning we would have to pay the car service a premium to drive us one hour from our local airport. We were flying to NY. Our local airport which is 10 minutes from our house has 4-5 flights a day going to the 3 NY airports. Why would we do that? And as for being here say, it is all the comments from all the CC pax who had issues directly with SS air. Way too many to be an anomaly
  7. SS air program is a disaster. Tons of posts talking about the issues. Including them waiting till the last minute to let you know what airline, etc
  8. 1. Or to look at it differently, refurbished ships with great layouts and the majority of cabins now comparable to the newer ships. The majority of the cabins are now Aquamarine or Sapphire with several new Jr CPs. Hopefully when they do build the new ships they don’t get rid of the central core, or the walking track. What i do not like about these new ships is how all the areas seem so compartmentalized. Not as open a feel
  9. Actually Crystal is/was the only line that actually gave you the details of who the entertainment/lecturers etc were going to be. The other big 3 have been vague and on 2 we were disappointed. Only Regent has lived up to expectations for both. The other 2 lines were amateur hours. Now having said that i’m guessing Crystal will be going all out to get the best in those aspects. I’m hoping that like in the past they will be post all the details on their website
  10. Well we only sailed the one time for 21 days and have no intention of sailing them again. If Crystal turns out to be a dud, which i don’t expect, then we would choose SB or Regent over SS. Or maybe the new Explorer Journey. But considering that so much of the original staff of C is coming back, I’m guessing we will be very happy on C.
  11. If i recall SS only has free laundry in the suites, not the regular cabins.
  12. Not enough drawers and half of the hanging space was BEHIND the cabinet in the closet making it difficult to see what you had. Unlike Crystal and Regent, few drawers in main cabin
  13. We are on Regent Splendor right now and thankfully they designed the cabins with more storage than we need. Hoping Crystal does the same as that was one of the things we always loved about Crystal. As you noted, SB and SS were lacking in good storage
  14. The only meals that haven’t been disappointing are what we had at lunch in the grill and our meal in Pacific Rim. My veal scallopini in Sette Mare I literally couldn’t cut it with a steak knife. BTW after dinner in Sette Mare they give you biscotti. It is prepackaged like you woul buy in a supermarket or Costco. NOT made in house. Last night I had the tomato sauce pasta with burrata. The sauce was thin with no chunks of tomato, garlic, spices. And the burrata was the size of a dime. Overall the food is bland and definitely not 6 star. However, the ship is gorgeous. The staff is very good and entertainment and lectures excellent.
  15. We were on the Whisper when Fiona decided to visit and we were in Boston for 2 1/2 days. Then they went south to sit it out in Cape Cod Bay. And instead of having a full day in Quebec, they decided to have a stop in one of the small ports. Can't even remember which one, but a day in Quebec would have been a lot more interesting.

If they have the product, they will fill with new blood.
  17. Which SS ship is doing Quebec in 2024? If it's the Whisper, save your money.
  18. Some people have no clue how to be positive.
  19. You obviously have trouble reading since each ship clearly has LESS passengers

SB's entertainment and enrichment was a heck of a lot better than what we had on SS.
  21. You have to give them your CS #. They've been making the same mistake a lot. Ours was corrected once our TA let them know about the mistake.
