@jenxogirl Thanks for posting this question and to all that answered. Reading the description, I was pretty sure I understood how this worked, but wanted to verify here with people who have actually done it.

@mandyleighflies, Following along. My sister and I sailed on Lady G last August and had a great time. Loved the ship. We also pack over the counter meds we share just in case. Hope clover is feeling better soon and Roswell gets over being miffed. Enjoy you cruise.

LOL I agree and I am still booking cruises, when I find what I want for a price I am willing to pay. I pick and choose what else I spend extra on, and the over water cabanas are not one of them at the price I am seeing. For those that have the want and or means to do so I think it’s great.

This question is off topic, but can some one answer please? My niece wants to use the wave pool at CocoCay. From what I can tell you needed to have access to Thrill Water Park to use the wave pool, but I am not positive. Can anyone confirm? Thanks for any help.

Call Royal and let them know you want a table for 2. When you get on board, you can double check what table you were assigned. You table # will be on your sea pass card. If for some reason you do not get a table for 2, kindly mentioned to one of the hosts that you had requested a table for 2, it could be they just put you at a larger table as that was all they had. That happened to my sister and I, it was always only set for 2 people. If in fact they have you at a table with others, they will possibly be able to move you to a different table.

I agree that is too bad. We had breakfast at JR and lunch had good food and very reasonable service times. We just wanted milkshakes a couple of times and instead of sitting down, just ordered at the entrance and had them in a reasonable time as well. Good luck with that next time. Love Oasis class but have not been on one lately. It’s to bad but I guess i’ll have to book another cruise.

And here I am, hoping my 4 next cruises go as planned so I will get to Diamond+ after July 2025. Pinnacle is far away.

The cruises I have booked are currently showing the DBP run from $70.99 to $87.99. Luckily I also am Diamond and do just fine with my vouchers (thank you Royal). Since every adult can bring a bottle of wine on board, this is another perk if you are a wine drinker as we are, so that helps as well. @luckyinpa, just an fyi, my cruise to Coco Cay has the over water cabanas for $3,899.00 base price currently. Way out of my price range, I would rather cruise 2 or 3 more times and use the free loungers and wander around which I like to do anyway.

I always ask that my towel count is at zero now when I return towel(s) as I have found charges post on my account over night and had to get them removed in the morning before departure. Not something I want to do again, so have gotten into the habit of just asking.

Driver $5. - $7. Tour guide $5 - $15. Depends on how informative, helpful, and/ or interaction and length of tours.

My sister and I do what @Tlbecker1 mentioned above. It works fine for us. I have been on cruises where security checks my bottles and others where they do not since the restart, you cannot guess which it’s going to be.

Thank you for letting us follow along. I am also making a list of drinks to try my next cruise in August. I tend to stick with just a few. Have loved the sunrises, sunsets and pretty blue water pics. It tends to be overcast and dreary thru the winter around here. Safe travels to all and hope those under the weather feel better soon.

Sailed Radiance twice now, the most recent time in Jan/ Feb 2023. I love this ship, she is beautiful. I also have her booked for Alaska in August 2023. Great views from all over. We had a great time and met wonderful people. @catlady66 is correct, she does not have the bells and whistles of the bigger ships, but plenty to do and awesome crew. Look into Crown and Anchor and review benefits for cruising and how to accumulate points. If interested, sign up for #’s and call Royal and have them add #’s to your reservation to start accumulating points. Some people love the ultimate dining package (fee). I personally enjoy the main dining room and have always had good food and service. If something is not to you liking, ask for something else, they will be happy to replace it. I will do a specialty restaurant (fee) sometimes, but it is once per cruise for lunch or dinner usually. Radiance does not have as many specialty restaurants as the bigger ships but we enjoy Giovanni’s table and Samba’s grill. I have also heard very good things about Izumi. Drink package is as stated by @dna1990, the only other thing is if your drink exceeds the price of the drink package cost for each drink, you can still order it, but RCCL will charge you the difference. You can carry water and/or 1 bottle of wine per adult on board with you in carry on, but check FAQ for # and size. Not sure if you can bring both. Not sure what you’re looking for, so maybe check the FAQ in website. Enjoy your cruise. Hope this helps.

Same deck, room, wait staff & table. Table # will be printed on your sea pass card. Some cruisers like to go when they 1st get on the ship to find where their table is located, so they know where to go at dinner time.

November 2021 Anthem windjammer said no when I produced a card from a pre COVID cruise. I pushed back with the waiter and he said he would check, and he brought me a latte grudgingly, but I did get it. I set it aside for a couple of cruises, not wanting to deal with it. But decide to try again on Radiance after reading an article in cc about you being able to carry them over cruise to cruise and word was going to be passed down to allow it. Latitudes gave me no trouble at all on Radiance on January 30, 2023 cruise.

Agree with the bread pudding and vanilla sauce, but could not find it on the last cruise my sister and I were on. Sister asked about it and was told it would be in windjammer last day, but no bread pudding found. Very sad. I also enjoy the waffles when fresh, with strawberry sauce and whipped cream. Omelette station. Salad bar.

You can look for Small Wonders. Look for periscope/telescopes that rise from the ground to eye level. If you look, you will see find art inside each. You used to be able to get a list from guest services of where they are located.

I believe I requested water and cookies as my welcome gift when I became eligible and have never changed it, so I always have water and cookies in my room when I arrive.

P.S. it was very convenient getting off the ship as we were quite close, but we prefer our cars to be covered/indoors so we will probably check the indoor parking at the other lots. The lot we used to use did not shuttle as they were across from carnivals pier, so we used to drop off luggage and walk over from the indoor lot. It is more of a hike to the new pier so would rather shuttle if it is raining hard, so will need to check with them or pick a place that shuttles.

Unless it was changed just recently for the premium covered parking, a portion of your car will not be under cover in parts of this lot. There is not a lot of spaces in this section, I believe only 4 rows and we were in the forth row. Allure went out Sunday and we went out on Monday. Not to much choice left and we got in early.

Do you plan on having any addition cruises that go to other ports besides western Caribbean from Galveston. I am guessing they will need to be longer than 7 or 8 nights to go to other ports. I was on the 10 night Radiance cruise that departed on 1/30/2023 and loved the different ports (Progresso, Colon, Cartagena) as well as the sea days in between ports. It was a full cruise, so it seems you have the market available. Hopefully the other longer cruises are selling well also and this will be an option. Thank you.

I expedited and nothing was showing on the website 4 1/2 to 5 weeks later. I sent an email explaining the date shipped the date it arrived and that it was expedited to the address on the website. Within 2 to 3 days I started seeing activity on the website and receiving emails regarding status and had my passport 7 to 8 days later. This was in July 2022. I do not know if it helped or they were just getting to it, but I felt it could not hurt. Good luck.
