Or a dark suit from Primark for 50 notes. Tuxedo/Dinner suit is not compulsory on formal night, dark bag of fruit is fine.

Cunard Stops Homeporting in Oz 2026
NSWP replied to springaussie's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
Having been on QM2 in 2019, Syd to HK, I am well aware of the dress requirements. However time to get real and I am sure a polo shirt and bow tie should be acceptable on formal nights. Or even ye olde Safari Suit as below. 🤣 -

advice for things to do in Port Douglas and Airlie Beach
NSWP replied to DT1304's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
Good local markets at Airlie when ships are in. Right on waterfront. -
Thanks. Struggling with the cancer and kidney issues, but still enjoying CC and contributing when I can. My house is on the market from next week , deposited on an independent living apartment at Illawarra Retirement Trust Moruya. They have several places along the NSW South Coast. Stay safe, it is a jungle out there.

For those interested..I have an old workmate, Mark, and his wife on Reslient Lady doing the Athens - Sydney repo. He has been sending me pics and reports. 1. Food is excellent, some 20 food locations. 2. Staff very good. 3. Comfortable cabins and ample lounge and bar areas . 4.. Drink prices, USD, but about US$7 for a beer and $10 for a base wine. 5. Flu and covid about already, more flu than covid. He is very happy with the cruise thus far.

Your opinion on gratuities, please
NSWP replied to lovedecruise's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
Automatic gratuities = AWS..... Automatic wage supplement for that is what it is.😬 -
Thanks my friends for your good wishes. I got out of Hospital today, lost 10 lit of fluid from my lungs, heart and 5 kg in a week. Great staff allround, but 60 year old hospital, has its faults, it is just a 30 bed country hospital really. Had about 3 hrs sleep each night, kept checking on my obs etc. Feeling a bit rough but at least I can breathe and no pain. My medications have all been changed around. So add lung /heart issues to my cancer. See you on the boards. I am going to catch up on sleep all weekend.

Hi all, thought I had my last breath on Sunday, could not breath so off with paramedics to Batemans Bay Hospital. Heart lung issue, could be cancer has spread. Will be in hosp for a while. All the best for now. Uncle Les, a crook one.

Totally agree Mic, you have paid for it hidden in your fare somewhere.

I have seen quite a few cruisers walk out of their cabin with a wine glass full and proceed to MDR/Buffet. Waiters are not real impressed, no commission for them. I have also seen the head waiters at the door speak to cruisers re same. Just take the same type of glass in as sold in bars or provided in your cabin, not these ones below...
