  1. Have you tried Cruise Control Tranportation?.. they may pick up at Coronado Springs.
  2. We are using Cruise Control Transportation, and they emailed the instructions on where exactly to meet. Crossing my fingers it all works out.
  3. Taking my 1st carnival cruise in feb, and there will be 4 of us sailing, we plan on doing self disembark, the question I had is I arranged our transportation to pick us up at 830am, is that enough time? or should I push the pick up time to 9am?
  4. We are staying a night before in Orlando.. then having Cruise Control Transportation take us to Cocoa Beach the next day.
  5. We loved staying at the YVE. Great location, and no complaints about the hotel.
  6. Yes I know.. our friends decided to do Uber.. I chose the shuttle service.. they arrange my return trip to the airport also.. no issues and they were on time and quick.
  7. There was a desk in the front lobby that arranged it, and they also arrange our return service to the airport.. they were great.
  8. Mine were posted within a week after I redeemed them.
  9. YVE is right across from Bayside Marketplace, and you can see the port. They have a shuttle service, $7 pp to the port.
  10. I would just be happy to be on a cruise.. 🙂
  11. We are doing the same thing but just getting a shuttle to cocoa beach,, plenty to do without needed a car.. there is a trolley that goes around cocoa beach, you may want to find a hotel near one of the shuttle stops.
  12. Thanks for your detailed review of the pros and cons.. we actually never see any of the shows.. we are more of a get up late, hang by the pool drink kind of people and see a comedy show at night (maybe) and chills at the bars.. we don't like to plan anything on the cruise.. just go with the flow..
  13. I reading all these experiences and it's making me nervous, I am taking my 1st Carnival Cruise on the Mardi Gras next year, usually sail with Royal,, and now I am wondering if I am going to like it. I am sailing for the ship, not the ports.
  14. YVE is right across from Bayside Marketplace and has views of the port. , they also offer a shuttle service for $7.00 pp.
  15. We had a party of 6, and used Jiffy Jeff , loved the service, and we had a private shuttle.
  16. Thanks for your review, taking my 1st Carnival Cruise next year on the Mardi Gras, and keep hearing good and bad things, making me a little nervous.
  17. YVE right across from Bayside, stayed there this past Feb, loved it , and tons of stuff to do right around the area.
  18. Rent a car, visit one of the theme parks, or go to disney springs.
  19. There are a few hotels in the vicinity of Bayside Marketplace in Miami, which has tons shopping and restaurants , and you can actually see the POM from there. I have stayed at the YVE right across the street and they offer a shuttle from the hotel to the port for around $7 pp, and I believe SAS transportation will drop you off at the hotel., and they usually cost $15pp from FLL to that hotel., or look on SAS transportation to see what hotels they pick up from in the FLL to bring you to POM.
  20. Are you planning on getting a hotel in Miami or Ft Lauderdale?
  21. I like The Urbanica The Meridan Hotel, not directly on south beach, but a couple block back, nice boutique hotel with decent prices. Stayed there a night before our cruise a couple years back, and it was very clean, and the staff were outstanding.
  22. There are a lot of choice in port canaveral/cocoa beach area, depends what you want to be near, shopping , restaurants?. most of the hotels offer a shuttle service to the port.
  23. I sailed on NCL out of Port Canaveral and was charged tax on the drinks until we left also. Never been charged when leaving out of Ft Lauderdale or Miami.
