  1. Well, my Jack Sparrow friend, let me say this. What you've done is present the very definition of a flawed and careless conflation. How in the world you've managed to make the leap from fossilised dress "rules and codes" to genteel conduct in a polite society is staggering. Literary license is one thing but you've managed to run completely off the rails on this one. Regarding @Princessfan20's question.....I do. The damsel in distress notion is just plain silly. It's common courtesy. I do the same thing for men and women. Especially so for someone who appears to need a bit more time and perhaps help than do I or someone else.
  2. Nicely done. Thanks. The railing the interlopers climb over seems to be conveniently "out of sight, out of mind". Maybe some Sticky Traps? How are the Pergolas assigned? I understand that two are assigned to the Royal Suites but what about the rest? First Come? Reserved on request? or...... If First Come, are there issues with chair hogs?
  3. Oh sure there is. Only the fashion police would read anything else into it after spending a few nights in the MDR. Just saying something doesn't make it so. No matter how many times it's repeated. Welcome to the 21st century!!😀 And enjoy your cruise.
  4. Time to insert: Dress CODE = Dress SUGGESTION
  5. There's 2:01 of my life I'll never get back!
  6. Princess has come kicking and screaming into the 21st-century. There is no longer such thing as a dress code in the MDR or elsewhere. This, despite what the fashion police will still try to shame you into believing. Bottom line is be comfortable.
  7. Sounds very much like an agency I worked for early in my career. Whenever someone would screw up egregiously, the entire unit would be penalized rather than singling out the offender (or in the case of this discussion, the interloper).
  8. Such shortsightedness reminds me of some sage advice involving a mess kit.
  9. Similar mindset as not missing the water until the well runs dry.
  10. Terrific idea. How would this be proposed to the mods?
  11. Maybe you be you and let everyone else be them?
  12. How’s Starlink working? Please keep us posted as your journey progresses.
  13. YIKES!!! The answer to your query contained in your second paragraph can be found in your first paragraph. I’m certain they have “figured out how to do this” but have yet to implement the change. Pax using the casino as an ATM are sure to hasten implementation of this change.
  14. Strongly suggest the latter approach. On those rare occasions when we book directly with MSC (e.g. when there is only one cabin left in the category we are interested in) we always transfer to our TA anyway. The ease/difficulty of doing so is always hit or miss. Unless you enjoy subjecting yourself to death by a thousand cuts, I firmly believe it’s best to let a TA deal with MCS.
  15. You read my mind. I wondered about this exact thing. thank you.
  16. This has given me an idea. If one were to have some signs printed on plastic advising that the area beyond this point is reserved for Yacht Club guests only (or similar wording), how many such signs would be needed to cover all of the outdoor entry/access points?
  17. Funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time!
  18. Of course you did. You are anything but obtuse.
  19. The casino is NOT an ATM. Please do not attempt to use it as such.
  20. I'm happy for you. We are a family of two who are just not that memorable. Maybe I should go and buy a speedo as I strive for becoming memorable. On second thought.........🤣
  21. I’m delighted to be asked by staff multiple times to produce our YC creds. As often as necessary until they recognize us. my reasoning is simple. If they are “carding” us, they are doing it to others. INCLUDING interlopers. I won’t allow myself to have an ego or hurt feelings about something so trivial. Nor am I so self important that I expect all staff to recognize me immediately. For heaven’s sake, I’m not Clint Eastwood.
  22. Your right (and that of your crew) to smoke weed ends where my nose begins.
