  1. Thanks, Bill. I am looking forward to it. It has been a hard few weeks at work and I need some sleep! LOL
  2. I like the one with horses laughing.
  3. It was just a braided rope key chain type thingy that you could attach to luggage or whatever.
  4. Well, definitely not "well-connected." However, I was on the Indy for the same 3 day cruise the week before and knew that there was no way my points from that sailing would post by the following Friday. So I engaged with the LA on that cruise to let her know that when I come back the following week, that the points from this week will not show. That is when she put everything into motion, and she told me to come see her when I boarded on the next cruise. So when I did that, that is when they wanted to know certain things that she could speak to during the gathering like "First RCI cruise, favorite cruise, favorite ship, etc." She told me at that time to pick a restaurant and night, and it would be taken care of. I just assumed it was a benefit that I was unaware of and that all people who crossed to Pinnacle, got it. I actually thought I liked this better than anything I have seen at a top tier event. The Captain spoke to me at length, gave me a hand made gift, (Which the other pinnacle member on board, who attended, had the same type of gift from this Captain. I got to interact with the hotel director, staff captain, a guest services officer, as well as the three LA's/Concierges that were present. There was a waiter with drinks, even though I and the other pinnacle was the only one that could have a drink. LOL It was really nice, and I could not have asked for a better, or more personal experience. Believe me, I am a nobody and not connected to anyone or anything.. When it was over with, I just assumed this was how it was on the sailings with no top tier event.
  5. I had no issue with any of my double points posting automatically.
  6. I crossed 700 on a three night Independence. I knew this itinerary did not have a top tier event, and that was okay with me. The LA gave me a complimentary specialty dining for the sailing, and the small private event took place in the Library with the Captain and several officers. They took pictures, and I received a small gift from the Captain. I enjoyed it, and was glad that I chose to go this route instead of one with a top tier event.
  7. Ok didn't pay attention to the date. My bad.
  8. Hmmm in the 24 times I have sailed since restart, they have sounded the emergency horn each time after every one had checked in for muster.
  9. No it doesn't. The test that is used for the certificate of recovery must be 11 days before the cruise. The certificate of recovery does not need to be dated 11 days after the test. Mine is only dated 8 days after, and I have had no problem using it over and over. Even the RCI website says the test must be 11 days prior, and makes no mention of the COR being dated 11 days prior. The sentence in the policy is referring to the test.
  10. Hi Bill, not many changes since then. More umbrellas is what I noticed. Still a wonderful relaxing day!
  11. We have done it four times since August 2021. Great trip, great ship!! Cannot wait to get back onboard Odyssey.
  12. That would be a big disappointment for me. On my weight loss journey (I am way too big) I have been able to lose weight on every cruise in the last 6 months. In fact, I struggle more with losing weight at home. Scale this morning when I got home says I am down 1.4 pounds, but I did down three bottles of water from the time I got up, until the time I made it back home, (Tampa Area) so might be a little more down. I did enjoy following along and seeing what food you were enjoying. I have been sticking to lean protein, eggs and veggies, with the occasional small serving of pasta, and tons of water. No snacks at all! Every other cruise or so I allow myself to have a Playmakers Burger... which I love! It was nice to meet you Saturday. Enjoy being back home with your Wife and dog. πŸ™‚
  13. Pretty sure that is Disney Wish just north of us on the starboard side. I can see her from my balcony. Maritime traffic is behind but she left Castaway Cay just before we left Coco Cay. 🀷🏻
  14. On these short ones I prefer solo. I do have a few long ones that are solo, but I start feeling a bit lonely about day 5. Plus casino is a bit cheaper when my other half isn’t here. 🀣
  15. Did I just hear another Alpha call? Was in the shower so not sure. If so that is twice already.
  16. Nice, hope you can take advantage. I am really lucky, I am able to take the three day sailings and not use any paid time off. I love the 3 day sailings.
  17. Yep, as long as I get my certificate of recovery I will be on board this weekend and next weekend. As long as all of that goes to plan, then I will turn Pinnacle on the June 24th sailing. My positive result is exactly 11 days before the cruise. All symptoms have resolved, so now I am waiting on my doc for the paperwork. They are typically slow, so I may use that online option that others have mentioned on CC. I LOVE Indy, but I have to admit I am looking forward to the Allure doing the 3/4 days runs. It will be nice to have an Oasis class on weekend trips.
  18. My fave based on that list is Playmakers, without a doubt. I even think the Playmakers on Indy makes it better than the Playmakers on Mariner, Freedom, and Odyssey.
  19. I get that, and I agree. I am the only one that can cook eggs the way I like them. Funny thing.. I actually love over medium eggs as well. Love the runny yolk with toast.. but the whites have to be fully cooked... nothing jiggly. My friends think I am weird... this is just one of the things that convince them of that.
  20. Hi Bill, it's nice to talk with you again too. No, I lost him on Dec 19, 2019. So he made it another year or so after Enchantment. He was 16 years old... and I still have bad days. I will likely never change that avatar.
  21. The problem with the scrambled eggs for me is that they are undercooked. I do not want any moisture in my scrambled eggs.. I want them dry. Ketchup can't fix that... my gag reflex cannot handle it.
  22. Nice review, Bill. It does suck about that $18 drink package, and I was cracking up at the joke about them planning to avoid having to honor.. Too funny! I have not been on Enchantment in a long time. I think the last time was the time I met you and Gina. I believe there was a cast involved back then, but I might be confusing that with Mariner. I would really like to get back on the Enchantment, but based on her homeports for the foreseeable future, I doubt that will happen. 😞
  23. Fave: Cook to order Mongolian, with all the veggies and extra spicy. (Same with pasta cooked to order) Least Fave: Bacon / sausage, or whatever that stuff is they try to pass off as such.
