  1. I wish they would have eggnog at either Cafe Promenade or Starbucks. I love Eggnog Chai!!
  2. Price is $4.50 for grande at cafe promenade. Since you will only get 7 grande's for that $31 bucks.. you are right.. it saves you 50 cents, and gets you an extra small one with the last punch. That is not even close to the "save up to 50%" that is advertised, and no way I would bother to buy the card for a 50 cent savings. 🤷‍♂️
  3. I used to use this place a lot. Now, it is really only beneficial on long cruises and even then there is not that much of a savings. Currently on three day cruises the port is $68 and park Port Canaveral is 63.46 There are fees they have now, that they didn't have pre Covid. Oh well.
  4. Agree. Far better included food options. Also, besides the design of the ship, these two lines are more alike than they are different.
  5. No, not up there, it is on a first come basis. IMO it is far better than the reserved seating, or any other seat on the 1st floor for that matter. There are obstacles that can block part of your view on the 1st floor, depending on which part of the stage the action is on. Edited to add: Also, the actual seats up there are soft and comfortable. If you sit up at the front of the balcony, there is also a ledge you can sit your drink on. Yep, I prefer balcony seating on the other classes as well.
  6. This is the view from the seats on the second floor, at the front part of the balcony. You can see everything...
  7. The seats on the second floor are the best for The Book. We liked sitting at the ones on second floor in the main area right up against the front... perfect view of everything. The ones she is referring to are nice as well on the second floor. There is no one behind you. When you come up the stairs they are right in front of you.
  8. More like Cafe Promenade. They do have a press back there, with some hot breakfast sandwiches and hot burritos. They also make a nice lunch, with salad made to orders, wraps, and sandwiches.
  9. But only if you put a card in the slot by the door.. otherwise it is lights out! 🤣
  10. About to sail on my 30th cruise since the restart next Friday. What I have experienced is that when the restart happened, the food was fine (just like pre pandemic) up through about December 2021. Since then I noticed quite a bit of decline in quality, and taste from that time forward. Of the ships you mentioned, I have only sailed Oasis since the restart, and only once back in March. When I think back to that sailing, I spent almost all dinners in the MDR, and it was fine there. Chops, WJ, and El Loco Fresh was not good at all for us on that sailing. Oh well.. its not bad enough to stop me from going.. because I keep going. LOL.
  11. That made me chuckle. Honestly, I have experienced this on all the ships I have sailed on in the last year and half at various times. One time Chops said no mushrooms, and I said something to the effect of "awww.. my favorite part." The waiter was very thoughtful, and ended up bringing mushrooms from somewhere... but they were like from a can with no seasoning, and heated up in a microwave. (my best guess since they were scorching hot in places, and ice cold in others LOL. I did not eat them, but it was a nice thought. Correct... I can do without fries.
  12. Sounds fair to me. Especially with the food... it is not so good on Royal the last 8-12 months, IMO. Only thing is that I think the facial recognition at the port during disembarkation is CBP/port related. I just got off the Liberty in Ft. Lauderdale last week, and walked right through after the facial recognition as well.
  13. Wonder speed was horrible on the Nov 13 cruise. It was not Starlink.
  14. What is funny is there is another version of "All I want for Christmas is You," that happens to be my favorite Christmas song. It's by Vince Vance & The Valiants... I think early 1990's. Much different vibe.
  15. For me.. it is the Mariah Carey "All I want for Christmas" song... UGH .
  16. Yes this has been ongoing for some time. I used to purchase this, and got around their non sense each and every sailing. Pointing out the terms, conditions, and wording in the advertised item to the F&B mgr/Hotel Director worked every time for me. They would write on my card, and ask me not to say anything to other guests onboard. This was not a problem, as it is not my job to make sure other people are not being taken for a ride. I do not have to worry about it anymore, since I use my loyalty vouchers for coffee now.
  17. All I could do was laugh when I watched it. I dunno why.
  18. 140... out of every 100k.... and you're right, I bet that they would.
  19. Ok LOL. Yep, that sounds right coming from certain people. 🙄
  20. HUH? How is a death rate of 247/100,000 the same as the state where I live which is 387/100,000? Is there some new math I am unaware of?
  21. I have always travelled with my vaccination record, and always will. It will always be up to date with all vaccinations that I am eligible for.
