  1. Who gets upset about people carrying on their own luggage? I have always carried mine on, and if I am upsetting people by minding my own business, then I guess I am having a better start to my cruises than I thought. 🤣
  2. I believe it is in the suite neighborhood. (Suite lounge, not concierge) At least that is what it says on line. "Luxury is anything but boring in Royal Suite Class — and the groundbreaking new Icon of the Seas℠ takes it to plush new levels in the Suite Neighborhood. Just steps away from your room, discover a retreat with upscale amenities exclusively for suite guests. Soak up rays on the two-story Grove Suite Sun Deck or take a tranquil dip in the private pool and hot tub. Savor upscale cuisine at two restaurants for VIPs only. Indulge in the casual elegance of Coastal Kitchen or al fresco Mediterranean bliss at The Grove. And at the Suite Lounge, enjoy bites and cocktails over jaw-dropping views right into the heart of the revolutionary AquaDome℠.
  3. No you had that part right, I do think it is less than 10%. As I said... that is based on supposition.
  4. YOU'RE putting words in my mouth! I didn't say anything like that. I said that I am in line all the time, and if the percentage was that high, I would have thought that I would have at least heard it once by now. Never once did I say YOU'RE wrong. Seems like YOU'RE a bit sensitive to other opinions.
  5. I really don't care what "crew members have quoted." I do not believe that number is anywhere near 10%-15%, and that is my opinion based on supposition. Just like the rest of this thread...It is all supposition. In your same scenario above, I am in line at guest services on average 1-2 times day. I bring cash from the casino to pay down my account on a regular basis. (Sometimes not regular enough, but I digress. 🙄 ) in 80+ cruises, I cannot remember once when I have heard someone in line, or at the desk say they wanted to remove gratuities. Granted, I do not make a point to listen to what everyone else is doing but when I am in line and the line greeter asks if they can help me, I can also hear the responses of the couple in front and behind me. I have yet to hear it. That does not mean it does not happen, but I would think by now if it was 10-15% I would have heard it at some point.
  6. Carnival Horizon's elevators were just like this. They worked really great.
  7. And then there is me... one Michelob Ultra and I am heavily buzzed. Who am I kidding.. it's closer to 3/4 of the way through. 🤣
  8. I don't know. I don't need it regardless of the category. Yes, if that is what the person in the Js wants.
  9. Well that shouldn't bother the non smokers, since they would not be in the casino when closed to gambling. 🤷‍♂️ Was this on turnaround day? Last March on Oasis the staff put us up there the morning we disembarked due to some reason, that I cannot remember.
  10. Just of the Indy today in a JS, and this has started on Indy. JS's and up get twice a day service. For the last couple years I tell them I only want morning service regardless of the category. It works for us.
  11. Uh yes. I responded to the person who suggested a diuretic, directed at the OP. Which is not something one should take without speaking to their physician. How does additional water intake create a problem for non CHF/Cardiac/Kidney patients?
  12. Drink more water. Lots of it. There is a lot of sodium in their food. Do not do this without speaking with your physician.
  13. I agree, I still think they are boring and loud, but there will be no earning a comp cruise on my $$. If that is your zip code at the end of your screen name, we are neighbors.. HI!👋
  14. Yep. I panicked for a few seconds. I am due on Brilliance next Thursday, and I was so busy at work when this came in, I actually thought for a few seconds that I got my Thursdays confused. 😆 Phew!
  15. I could too... but unfortunately I still have to work. 😡 I live just south of Tampa Bay, so PC is about 2 hours for me, and PE is about 3.
  16. I believe you that it happened. What I am saying is they would have allowed the person who hit the button also claim it. Slot pulls are driven by the organizer and the group, so if they choose to put the card in, and that is the person that will take the W2G, that is fine. I am just saying that it is not required to be the person that has the card in. (I hit three JP's with someone else's card in last year. two times it was my husband because we moved down and forgot to sign out, the other time it was a stranger, and I must have had a few decent spins before hitting the jackpot. I didn't realize it until they came to get my info and called me by that persons name (was a female) and laughed. All I could think was... dang it, someone else got my points. LOL @ CAH-RAZY.. I have heard it so many time. I usually will position myself at the other end of the casino, but in some cases I have been in the immediate vicinity. I usually have to put my AirPods in for that. LOL
  17. No PTO, nice getaway without investing too much time. I think many of us FL locals love them. I try to do 10-12 a year, plus a few long cruises. I'm doing everything I can to contribute to it not being a flop. Hope to have a few more booked in the coming weeks.
  18. The FB group for the sailing. I see one on nearly all groups that I join.
  19. This is not true... the "require" part. This implies that anytime a jackpot (over $1200) is hit that it must be paid to the person who has their card in the machine, and in the case of no card in, then the casino does not have to pay. The truth is.. the casino is only required to pay the person who wagered. (Hit the button) So long as the person that hit the button had the legal right to spend that money, (No found tickets, left over money that was forgotten, etc.) regardless of whose card is in the machine. Being designated to take the W2G is an accommodation to the slot pull, but does not have to be the person that has their card in the machine. Any host, or employee that states otherwise is wrong. (multiple first hand experiences here on various RCI ships..) It is however, against Club Royale's rules to use someone else card to gain points for them. It is not printed that they make an exception for Slot Pulls, but apparently they do.. because they all know when slot pulls are happening. I personally do not participate in the Slot pulls, as I find them boring and loud.
  20. Knock on the door. LOL This is true. My Masters tier gets me into CK for B/L/D even when I would be denied as a Pinnacle.
  21. You can choose the in advance pricing with no casino discount, or you can choose the onboard pricing minus the Prime discount. Not both.
  22. I'm so sorry for your loss. Unfortunately, if the comp was issued in your name, and you do not travel, the rest of the party will need to pay the full cost of the cabin or will be denied boarding. Sorry. I am so sorry for your loss.
