  1. Yep there is definitely a difference between the two, and both are equally valid for an adult. I would LOVE someone to have the jewels to tell me in person what I should be willing to eat because someone else decided it was reasonable for other people.
  2. As long as the color they provide matches the C&A status. I certainly do not want to be using a purple (D+) colored one to keep my conscience, or my back side clean. 🤣 Also, not sure what those statuses that do not have a wash & fold laundry included, are going to do... 😲
  3. Why would they get rid of those magnets? I am okay with once per day service, but I am still not okay with being woke up before I am ready for them to come in.
  4. I didn't remember for sure, so I went through my photos.. I found this one. I do not think they connect. That is the divider between the two balconies.
  5. Yes, that is my perception of it. 🤷‍♂️
  6. Hi, If that is a 2212A07 certificate, in order to get the free cruise (Bonus) you would have had to book on board with Next Cruise or pay the $200 "book later" option and completed the booking within 7 days of disembarkation. All I can see on your offer is the 2212A portion the rest is blocked out, but with it being a $300 trade in value, it seems like it would be the 2212A07. Also, all certificates are valid for 30 days for the award amount, but as I said the bonus portion of it only has 7 days, and that must be initiated through Next Cruise while on board. If it is the 2212A05 or 2212A06 then the only thing lost for not booking with Next Cruise is the free play.
  7. Well the comparison that I made is not absurd, if you actually read what I said. I said it was more like an Applebees than it is a Ruth's Chris, I didn't say it was the same as Applebees... and I stick by that comparison, and do not need you to agree. I am okay with other opinions. This past Thanksgiving we went to a Bob Evans (better diner than Denny's if you don't know what Bob Evans is.. but still a diner) and besides the tablecloths, we commented that this was no different than the MDR on RCI. Even though I love to cruise, and RCI is my current favorite, I am not going to kid myself regarding what they are, and what they are not. Also, this is related to dress codes, as there is no way I would dress for anything close to Applebees, and would of course dress for Ruth's Chris.
  8. Me too for Jan 6. I hope the menu stays the same, I like the Tagliatelle & Garlic shrimp on night 3.
  9. Especially considering the MDR is more like a Applebees than a Ruth's Chris. Actually, that could be turned around on you. You expecting everyone to dress to your liking might be considered selfish and only caring about yourself. If the host (Royal Caribbean International) allows it, then frankly it is none of anyone else's business. 🤷‍♂️
  10. It's laid out differently. Instead of it being on 16, it is on 15. The dining area wraps around the boardwalk open area. Whether there is more seating or not... I don't know, but it sure feels like there is.
  11. Loved it as well, and will see it each time I am onboard. I really liked it a lot as well, but maybe I missed something. I thought those on the screens were the same performers as on the stage, and the video was pre-recorded to primarily show you what you could not see them doing on the stage. (the music and sounds coming from them vs. instruments.) I could be way off, but that is just what I thought.
  12. Hi. Currently, free play for the sailing is based on the offer. Offers found on the website will have it attached as part of the description. Some of the onboard offers (Instant Certificates) that you earn by the end of the current cruise you are on, have free play attached for future sailings, if you follow the booking bonus guidelines. The only other "free play" that there is, is by converting your points at the end of your sailing to free play. This is done in increments of $1 for each 50 points earned.
  13. I have canceled in the past due my dog being sick when I had cruise line insurance, and got 75% FCC. Not even close to being frivolous for me.
  14. Have not tried that, but I use wifi calling on every cruise and rarely have an issue. That means of course you have to have the internet package, so you would need to weigh the costs out to see what works best for you.
  15. This has a wonderful ending, and I'm so glad you got to go on your cruise. I already knew "you can always count on your Mom." I lost my Mom 8 years ago at age 56, and this story brought tears to my eyes, because I know my Mother would have saved the day for me as well.
  16. So this last weekend I asked the room steward to only come in the morning, and to please leave me an extra towel, just in case. Actually, it was fine. Yeah I took a nap on Saturday, and so the bed was not made when I came back and got ready for dinner, but really that worked out for me since all my pillows (don't ask how many) were where I left them, and didn't need to be arranged. I've decided it's fine for me! I hope they keep twice a day in place for everyone that likes it, and I think I can just start telling them to only come in the mornings.
  17. It was dead on Indy in the evening this last weekend. I went to try the grilled chicken club sandwich, since I do not like their burgers. Well, I could hardly stop myself from laughing when it was put in front of me, but I managed. The server was just so nice. It didn't taste bad...well at least the parts of it that had chicken, bacon, lettuce, etc., which was about 25% of it. I asked for the fries extra crispy, and they obliged and that was pretty good. I rarely get off anymore in the Caribbean/Bahamas. Every now and then we will want to do something like the Trikes in Aruba. The one place I/we get off every time is Grand Cayman, as I love Stingray City. I will also venture into Coco Cay here and there. Being on the ship is what makes me happy, and I am even more happy when everyone else gets off the ship. 🤷‍♂️
  18. That is correct, the difference is between the J4 & J3. I personally like the J4 best and have stayed in a J4, four times. My friend had a J3, so I was able to compare. J3 - Two bathrooms: One has a toilet and sink, the other has a shower/tub combo, toilet, and sink. J4 - Two Bathrooms: One has a toilet and sink, the other has a tub, a separate rectangular shower (fairly large) with a full glass door, and a sink.
  19. I also cannot look at a screen as it wakes me up more as well. However, I end up going the lazy route.... "Hey Siri, what time is it?" which tends to annoy my other half who gets woken up by her voice when she responds. 🙄 Another reason why I like cruising Solo... 🤣
  20. I don't think he was being rude, I think he was just trying to be funny after the comment by someone else regarding their probably intentional mis categorization of a comment.
  21. LOL - and in my case, one I won't use. $$$ down the drain. 🤣
