I think trying new lines is a great idea if one cruises one line fairly regularly. Different decor. Different menus. Different shows. Not necessarily better…just a refreshing change!!

Today I washed the full size duvet insert from our guest bedroom. Checked the tag…machine washable. We have an exotic (to me) Maytag. Went to see how it was doing and it was flashing a “5d” code. Yikes!! WTH? I pulled out the (useless) manual. Not a single error code listed. 😡 Asked Mr. Google. Turns out it actually was a “Sd” code that means the machine is dispersing excess suds. I can’t even imagine how it senses such a thing! I did not use more detergent than I normally use…. I was horrified and thought we were going to have to haul the sopping wet monstrosity out and wrangle it to a commercial laundry…. Luckily it did all it announced it was and all was well.

I don’t know if they service the Orlando/Port Canaveral area…but I’ve used Larry’s Limo several times with great results. Might call and ask. If they don’t they might be able to recommend a company.

Well, as to which side you are on, Celebrity has odd numbered cabins port side and even numbers starboard side. Otherwise if the numbers are getting larger you are headed aft.

I think there is some confusion here. The poster saying the food was great in the Diamond Lounge is talking about Royal Caribbean. There is no “Diamond Lounge” on Celebrity.

DH has had a cold that developed into bronchitis. Started on the 16th…and it wasn’t until Friday after 5 that he decided a prescription might help. So Monday he started a Z Pack. So I’ve been home most of two weeks. Luckily I’ve had congenial company (NOT DH.)

Celebrity’s IT is terrible. The E Class ships seem to be all Anytime dining but still the website will let you pick traditional Early or Late in addition to Anytime. Thus the website will not let anyone “booked” as Early or Late make a MDR reservation because it already has an assigned time for you.

We disembarked Equinox on January 8, 2024. Smoking at The Sunset Bar has always been only on the port side. It is possible someone didn’t know this and carried an ashtray over to the starboard side. There is smoking at the Mast Bar which is on the starboard side of the ship.

Go to the bottom of the page and where your cruise dates are listed it will say something like Select Another Sailing. Click that and select any sailing you want.

Speaking of dysfunctional families…after Thanksgiving I saw that my brother, whom I haven’t spoken to in two and a half years…since my dad died and I found out neither were who I thought they were, had left a message on my phone. iPhones are set up where…even if you have blocked a caller (and I’ve blocked him) it will still save a voicemail. Your phone won’t ring and you won’t know the blocked caller left you a message unless you check “Deleted Messages.” So I had DH listen to the message in another room. He told me it wasn’t anything upsetting. I read the transcript…he “misses” us…he “loves” us…he “wasn’t happy with the way things ended up but it should not have caused this kind of rift…” I didn’t believe a word of this BS. If you “love” me why haven’t I heard from you in over two years? (Not that I wanted to!) I told a cousin of mine, who is 83 and one of my few relatives left, about the call. Of course she (wishfully) thought he might have been sincere. I hated to disillusion her…but I said it was BS. Came out later my brother had approached her nephew…trying to get money…which is all he would have wanted from me.
