  1. Absolutely love E-class. Was on here years ago before a NCL cruise, after reading a lot on CC I thought about canceling because of the negativity. Thank god I didn’t, had a great cruise. After going on my first E-class cruise with Celebrity I did realize all the shortcomings of NCL and probably won’t go back to NCL. I am mostly on here to get tips and a little insight on some ports, and other little things for me and my cruise. Ignore the negative Karen’s (there are a lot) and enjoy YOUR cruise.
  2. Paid $2300 for a 2021 Apex cruise SV with premium drink and internet and $600 OBC Never sailed because of Covid, but did do a "lift and shift' to 2022 so eventually went on the cruise for $2300.
  3. I have a Beyond Caribbean in January 2023 in a SV... An IV today is about $800 cheaper with $200 OBC Hard to compare because I booked with Premium drink and internet, that is not available any more and no SV left for the sailing...I also have $600 OBC. This sailing is only at around 60% booked, so still a lot available for a sailing in 45 days. My 2024 sailing I booked in March is the same price I paid, but again I have premium drink and internet plus an extra $400 in OBC, so it has gone up a decent amount since March.
  4. It's in the "Veranda" section for choice of cabin. If you don't see them they are sold out, they sell out quickly.
  5. I'm 95% sure that the actual Sunset Veranda cabins are the same size, other that obviously the SV Suites. The balcony's on the other hand do very in size with the ones closer to the middle of the ship being a bit larger. I was on Apex 11272 SV cabin and noticed the verandas very a bit in size. it was very minimal but was noticeable.
  6. I'll be there in January, first time for me...similar situation, looking for a beach day. From what I've read the first thing is getting off the ship, our ship arrives at 10am as well. Passengers with ship booked excursions get off first, a post from a cruise last week that stopped in GC stated that they did not have an excursion or priority and didn't get off the ship until close to noon.... What I decided to do is a 2 hour snorkeling excursion starting at 10:30am (hopefully first off) back to port at 12:30 and then off to the beach. Not a lot to chose from as far as "beach clubs" seems like Coral Beach is about the only option I can see that serve food and drinks and have facilities to use, so that as of now is the plan. Public beach seems like another option with less services (food, drink, restrooms) I've read that Coral can get crowed, but crowds do not bother me.
  7. So much to do in St. Thomas, you could spend a month there and not see all the nice beaches. An easy do it yourself beach is on Water Island. The ferry to water island is an easy walk from where Royal and Celebrity ships dock. Dinghy's beach bar, on water island, has excellent food and drinks and wonderful beach. I've been to Coki beach at least four times, it has a local vibe, the snorkeling is really good, it can get a bit crowded, but that is part of the vibe. Coki beach is on the opposite end of the ports, so plan a good hour on travel each way.
  8. I would like this too, hope someone can answer. From what I've heard a lot of businesses in Grand Cayman that relied on cruise ships when out of business during covid.
  9. All real. On Apex they told us the number of real plants. I don't recall the number, but my jaw dropped upon finding out.
  10. Agreed, I have a 2024 cruise booked as well and those all got more expensive as well, so I don't think it's supply and demand issue for an upcoming cruise.
  11. Had my eye on a few and noticed this morning they are all more expensive than a couple days ago. I already had two excursions booked with their 5% discount. Those two today with a 15% discount in total were $78 more for two people....
  12. What's the plan for the day? I see golf chipping in the planner....this would seriously require me to think about staying on the ship in Costa Maya if this happens on my January Beyond cruise 😬
  13. Muster 2.0 is the "new" muster drill where you do it on the app and/or on cabin TV. Then before departure you are required to quickly "check in" at your muster location. I think the old muster drill from before covid is gone forever. I hope
  14. Beyond isn't still in Port Everglades it left around 10pm
  15. What is your comparison between the two? I was on Encore Feb 2020 right before shutdown then Apex in March 2022. Will probably never go back to NCL based on those two sailings.
  16. Not a "veteran" cruiser here, but have been on 3 NCL cruises (last 3-4 years) 1 Royal cruise (10+ years ago) I have only been in Aft cabins (once you go aft, you never go back..) so can't comment on IV cabins... Did my first X cruise in March 2022 on Apex in a SV and loved it. The pool deck, the specialty dining, the theater, the casino, the martini bar, pretty much everything. I do think they needed more bars/lounges and that is corrected on Beyond from what I can tell. I have two more E-class cruises booked. After my Apex cruise I realized how much I disliked NCL.
  17. Eden on Apex was probably one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Food was excellent and the service the same. I booked it three times on my upcoming Beyond cruise. I may cancel one of the three, but knew it would sell out (easier to cancel than try to book when full) 🙂
  18. Yes, but no glass. If getting drinks from pool bar they are mostly plastic glasses. If your a beer drinker they serve glass bottles, you'll need to ask for a cup and they will gladly give you one to pour your glass bottle into..
  19. After going through this thread I reserved the Cozumel Bar Hop Tour with Cozumel Cruise Tours, it starts with a quick snorkeling adventure, so that appealed to me. It appears to be the "wrong" company from what seems to be recommended on this tread, but I'm sure it will be fun. I do still have "Driving Adventure Tour: Snorkel, Jade Cavern & Playa Mia Beach break" booked through Celebrity, it was an excursion I was looking forward to, but the bar hop is appealing as well to me. Has anyone ever done the Driving Adventure that could comment on that? Thanks.
  20. Was on Apex in March and the burgers at Mast Grill looked large, what shocked me is they didn't have a chicken option. Just seems strange that a cruise line with a little more focus on health only serves burgers, fries and hot dogs by the pool.
  21. I did this on my March 2022 Apex cruise, not sure if I ever got the extra points (would have been 3 and I have done a lot power up point activity) My stateroom attendant had no clue what I was talking about and honestly I didn't any difference in service, was great as usual.
