  1. This. I was such a regular on Pride in February, the bartenders at the Atrium would wave at me and say "Hey MayorDrafty" when I simply walked by. I would sit down and almost immediately have a Titos and ginger ale placed in front of me.
  2. I’m on Miracle right now and it looks active. There’s a kiosk near the casino and it’s shown in the Hub app.
  3. On Elation, the Alchemy Bar is where the Rotterdam Bar is on Paradise. I haven't been on either, so I have no idea if that location works well for Alchemy or not.
  4. It showed them at 22 knots (Wikipedia says the top speed is 23) and arrival 3.5 hours later than originally scheduled.
  5. MarineTraffic still has the Celebration listed with Amber Cove as the destination.
  6. The new menu, which as @hapytobehr mentioned is currently only on the Dream, has been posted in other posts in this forum.
  7. Here's how smokey it gets -- I was in cabin 1187 (pre-drydock) which is starboard side below the non-smoking part of the casino and could very clearly smell the smoke one night. Someone must have been winning, too, as it was quite loud at that time. Other than that one instance, I never heard any noise from the casino, though.
  8. They don't. I do. It's just a way for me to determine how crowded I think the ship will feel.
  9. Spirit class ships have the lowest "passengers per elevator" in Carnival's fleet, at about 142, which is the primary metric I consider when picking a ship 🙂 Vista class has the highest, at 250-265 depending on the ship.
  10. I cancelled a cruise on the website not too long ago, and had the same question. It took several hours to get the cancellation email. Just be patient!
  11. $14.50 per day. This was back in late Feb/early March.
  12. I also tipped for each drink, even though I had Cheers. I basically only had 3 bartenders the whole cruise, and they absolutely gave me better service because of the extra tips. For the stateroom attendant, I tipped him an extra $50 early in the trip because I cruised solo. It was the same amount of work for him whether it was 1 person or 2 in the cabin, and the auto-gratuity from my cabin was essentially cut in half, so I felt I needed to account for that.
  13. On my cruise in Feb/March aboard Pride, once the gratuities posted to my account I tapped on it and saw this (excluding the percentages and daily amounts; I calculated those and added them here): Stateroom Steward $26.64 (30.6%, $4.44/day) Team Dining Services $42.30 (48.6%, $7.05/day) Alternative Services $18.06 (20.7%, $3.01/day) With a total of $87 for the 6-day cruise.
  14. I received almost the same offer for my booking on Spirit for next February. Only $40 to "upgrade" from the nice quiet cabin I had booked to one where the door opens to the elevator lobby and it's directly under the pool deck. According the to the email "higher is always better!" Someone may have been high when they sent that to me.
  15. Yeah, on the Pride I would get to the piano bar about 30 minutes early and chat with the bartender while he set up. Once he got to a breathing point, he would make a drink for me (simple vodka and soda). Another passenger would see that and come up to order a drink and he'd tell them he wasn't open yet lol.
  16. I added $2 to every alcoholic beverage and the bartenders knew who I was and my drink within about 3 hours. They would wave hello at me as I walked by lol. I also stayed at the same bars, though, with the same bartenders so that may have had something to do with it.
  17. Yes. In fact, on my first drink order once the bartender scanned by boarding pass and saw I had the package, he told me to always order the call brands.
  18. When you buy the package, the standard tip is added. When you buy a drink, you have the option to tip additionally.
  19. Every time I ordered a soda, they just gave me an unopened can. You can always order your drink "with a Pepsi back"
  20. Well someone recently went crying to John Heald about how that statue RuInEd ThE wHoLe CrUiSe. With no mention of whether they simply asked to be moved to a different table.
  21. Carnival included the following in a press release today: Guests sailing Carnival Pride when she returns to service May 28, 2023 will experience further enhancements including the addition of a Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge, the fifth bar in the Carnival fleet which salutes the military. Guests will also enjoy an upgraded Cloud 9 Spa and Fitness Center, with new equipment, and sporting a fresh look and feel. The 2,680-guest Carnival Pride will feature enhancements to its steakhouse, which will be rebranded as Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse, and span two decks. The ship will also be home to a new Carnival Adventures shop and Dreams Photography Studio.
  22. My tags on the Pride last month were red, and I'm not a Platinum or Diamond member. Cabin was midship starboard.
