  1. And I just got an email from Princess (via my TA) that says this. Which is what I thought were the requirements. - Guests ages 5 and above who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 do not require pre-cruise COVID-19 testing for this voyage. To be considered fully vaccinated a guest must have completed their final dose of an approved vaccine at least 14 days prior to embarkation. - Guests ages 5 and above who have not been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 are required to take a viral COVID-19 test within 3 days of embarkation and attest to a negative result. Self tests are accepted.
  2. I'm hoping it's just poor wording by Princess. It wouldn't be the first time.
  3. Not going to Canada. The fourteen foreign stop is Mexico. I didn't think we needed a test either. Now I'm not sure.
  4. We have B2B cruises scheduled leaving Oct 1. A 7 day California and 15 day Hawaii leaving from SF on Ruby. When I logged into Cruise Personalizer for the California cruise this morning I got this pop-up. Between the sentence telling me we need to be vaccinated and a sentence stating the need for a negative covid test there is a hyphen. Not an AND. Not an OR. A hyphen. My hope is this means you only need the test if you're not vaccinated. I guess I'll try to contact Princess to see if they can shed any light on this....
  5. We're at Pier 27 do hopefully it won't be too bad. Thanks for the reply.
  6. I'm on a cruise Oct 1. I looked earlier and there are TWO other ships in port that day. Zuiderdam and a smaller ship. Other than more crowds around, less taxis/Uber, etc. how does that slow things down? Not enough workers?
  7. The past is the future. The future is the past.
  8. Kudos for an Ernest T. Bass reference.
  9. Are you using an ad blocker or a browser that has an ad blocker builtin? If I don't turn off my ad blocker it turns off after 5 seconds.
  10. Did you request the same table before/after the first night or did they just assign you the same table. We're on Ruby in 3 weeks and also have Botticelli. I chose it mainly because our cabin is only 2 decks up towards the aft.
  11. That's interesting. We have our first B2B cruises coming up Oct 1 and while it shows up in the Medallion app as one cruise (i.e book dining for both cruises once, etc.) I had the option to book R/T EZAir tickets. I booked one way since the price was the same. I guess my TA didn't link them properly.
  12. Back to back requirements seem to have changed. Will I be able to book multiple cruises, back to back? Yes, we offer back-to-back bookings, subject to availability. Guests ages 5 and above on these sailings may be required to take a complimentary rapid antigen test before the second voyage – shipboard medical staff will notify guests of any testing requirements. Guests who test positive for COVID-19 may be required to disembark, and if so - will be entitled to a 100% Future Cruise Credit (FCC). We will closely monitor guidance from government and health authorities and will adapt and evolve this policy accordingly.
  13. People could get together on their Roll Call and split a 4 device plan. Not that anyone would do that. 🙂
  14. If you have the right phone (pretty sure Samsung works-I have a Pixel) and the right cell plan (we have Verizon) you can use wi-fi calling. If seamlessly uses Wi-Fi for calls and SMS texts. We have poor cell service at our house and use it all the time. Works great. Should work on a cruise ship as well. On the ship turn on airplane mode and then turn Wi-Fi back on. This will turn off cell service. If you don't do that it would try to use the ship's cell service.
  15. Android is 3.0.104108. Running Android 13 on a Pixel 6a.
  16. Sounds to me like he just didn't want to spend the time to determine what the problem was. I really can't believe they would block iMail and iMessages. They use VERY little data and no more than Gmail or WhatsApp. I could understand if they blocked YouTube or Netflix. Video is a data hog.
  17. Did you talk to anyone on board about this because I can't see any reason why the would do that.
  18. Other than just walking around and eating does anyone have any recommendations for things to see or do in San Francisco's Chinatown? Thanks in advance.
  19. Under the CruiseHealth FAQ /Before you sail Will I be able to book multiple cruises, back to back? Yes, we will offer back-to-back bookings, subject to availability. Guests ages 5 and above on such sailings will need to take a complimentary rapid antigen test within two days of the second cruise if the that sailing includes a trans-ocean voyage or full Panama Canal transit and the itinerary is 10 days or more. Guests who test positive for COVID-19 will not be able to sail on the next voyage, nor will their family members and close contacts who are not fully vaccinated. If you, your family members, travel companions or other close contacts are suspected of having COVID-19, you are entitled to a 100% Future Cruise Credit (FCC).
  20. FYI... This issue cleared up on it's own after a week. I was busy and never got around to calling but I tried last night and I am able to access the flight details with no problem. Strange...
  21. How's luggage work on BART? We'll have one checked bag and two carry-ons.
