  1. I agree. Cruise in December, got the offer to bid from an aft suite to a 2 bedroom haven suite, minimum bid was $500 pp. I upgraded directly thru NCL for $143.
  2. We are the same, 86 and many more planned. Some were better than others, but none were bad. Iā€™d have to say most lines are more alike than different. They each have their strong points.
  3. Sorry I seem to have offended you. I was just writing about my own personal experience on my last two cruises, one on NCL and one on Celebrity. I never said anything about it being fleetwide for either cruise line. Didnā€™t realize my opinion was a reason to be attacked.
  4. Iā€™m confused by this. In suites, on Celebrity itā€™s the most expensive drink package. In suites on NCL itā€™s only the classic. There were several wines I wasnā€™t able to get on the NCL package. Also NCLs included package does not include any bottled water, sparkling or still. You have to pay extra for that. Keep in mind Iā€™m only comparing the suite inclusions and just offering my opinions on the two different experiences I had. Other peoples experiences may be different.
  5. I just stayed in suites on both lines. For Celebrity the AI package includes upper level drink package, unlimited internet, tips and an OBC included. They also have a specialty restaurant just for suites that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. On NCL itā€™s the lower cost drink package, x amount of internet minutes, 2 specialty dinners and a $50 shore excursion credit. Specialty restaurant breakfast and lunch only, no dinner. The cost of both was almost the same. If I were to book another suite Iā€™d look at Celebrity first. Just my opinion.
  6. Also on NCL itā€™s not free unlimited internet, itā€™s a certain amount of minutes.
  7. I wasnā€™t that interested when I saw them, but the couple from our cruise that rented one said it was great. I think this is their website https://www.acadiagem.com. It shows a map of where you can go. We are considering it for our next trip to Bar Harbor in September.
  8. When we were in Bar Harbor in June they were renting these small electric vehicles right at the pier. I know a couple who rented one and drove to the top of Cadillac mountain. They had 2, 4, and 6 passenger ones.
  9. It can be done, but I have only ever seen it on NCL and only to/from NYC. For example: NCL Sun New York to Lisbon November 3, 2022 18days NCL Epic Lisbon to New York December 7, 2022 9 days I believe HAL also has a long cruise that leaves and returns from Boston, but that doesnā€™t give you any land time in Europe.
  10. Do you only want to sail in and out of Florida? And do you have your heart set on Celebrity?
  11. We were able to use both of ours for lunches on the Adventure in May.
  12. When I spoke to the people at the toll free number in Bermuda they told me the TA was valid for 30 days šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø. Regardless, all of my cruises were more than 30 days apart so it wouldnā€™t have worked for me anyhow.
  13. Yes and I will add that the TA is only good for 30 days. I have had to get three of them in the last four months šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø
  14. When you go to eat in the specialty restaurant for breakfast or lunch they ask for your cabin number or your sea pass card. This would show who was in the suite. I do not believe they would allow anyone in a cabin that is not a suite to eat there since it is a perk for full suites only. Itā€™s not a large venue and it gets crowded at times so I think the addition of five extra people wouldnā€™t be allowed.
  15. Iā€™ve booked that transatlantic itinerary several times and itā€™s always been cancelled for some reason either by them or me šŸ™„. Iā€™ve also done that Boston to Florida repo several times, the no name storm, hurricane Sandy, and a few others. We probably passed each other in the hallway heading aft šŸ˜Š. Thanks again.
  16. Thanks for the heads up. We were supposed to be on the Serenade transatlantic they cancelled in September of 2023, but this one is also very interesting.
  17. We used to live in that area and sailed from there many times. Itā€™s a very easy port to navigate. Thereā€™s a parking garage right across the street from the terminals and they used to have valet parking which was great. Not sure if they still have it since Covid. Just be careful not to book a super early flight. Tampa is notorious for fog at certain times of year and it can delay the ship arriving into port.
  18. I had the same exact experience. FCC showed up in my account after I completed the cruise.
  19. Thank you for posting. Itā€™s very helpful to see this explained from someone who actually works at the port. This is the experience we have always had at Port Everglades. I apologize to SoFlaAtty if you think I was being argumentative. That was not my intention. I believe you unfortunately were given the wrong information from someone at the port and didnā€™t want you to think that was the norm.
  20. You shouldnā€™t have had that happen. I have sailed out of Port Everglades many times and never had that experience. Whoever told you that was wrong. JS is always included along with the full suites as far as priority boarding. Itā€™s one of the very few perks of a JS.
  21. That is not correct. JS are entitled to the same priority boarding as full suites at all ports. That is one of the few perks of booking a JS. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/what-are-the-benefits-of-the-suites-program
  22. I got it about a week before sailing. If you donā€™t get it you can call them (thereā€™s a toll free phone number) and theyā€™ll process it when youā€™re on the phone. Much easier now that they donā€™t require you to upload the test results.
