  1. We're signed up for on Equinox in a few months and are looking forward to it!
  2. I agree for boarding a plane, and I do the same. When we get to the point where don't need covid test results to cruise, I expect I'll also use the phone for cruising. However, for the time being, I've found it much easier on everyone to just hand someone paper copies of my express pass and test results. I tried fumbling with my phone for both and was like a monkey doing a certain something with a football.
  3. A paper copy is more convenient, but a phone copy will get you on board.
  4. I would think you are fine. What they really are concerned with is poolwear.
  5. You can cancel without any issue at all 24 hours in advance. You might still be fine inside that period, but you're at their mercy for the refund.
  6. I looked back at the photos I had of a couple Daily Planners from back in October. On both days, they had movies at 11 AM, 2 PM, 5:30 PM, and 8:30 PM. If you like to go to bed before 10:30, then I suppose you could have an issue, but you otherwise are okay. I don't know about noise in the room, but I can tell you that the noise gets down to the Sunset Bar, two decks below. That irked me a good bit, trying to relax out there with dadgum Fast & Furious breaking up an otherwise nice and peaceful afternoon. For what it's worth, I've attached those Daily Planners. I'm afraid that's all I have, though.
  7. If there is some place you really want to go, I'd make the best sounding reservation you can now and then see about changing it once you are on board. They are very flexible about changing reservations. I'd take that extra caution because there have been recent stories that sound like they are holding back few reservations than in the past (or none at all).
  8. I agree that there's not much in the way of jazz. I've seen some (that was very good, actually), but jazz does not dominate in any way.
  9. Very nice! I must admit that the balloons on the "floor" are a bit odd. 😉
  10. I don't think so. There's no doubt that Celebrity passengers trend older than some other lines, but we've seen plenty around 30. You'll be fine and have a great time!
  11. I don't know what's going on these days, but Silversea paid for the hotel when something similar happened to us (Athens, not London). They also threw in a tour.
  12. I also was going to mention the order history (on the cruise planner). You ought to see it there. If it's there, you're good to go.
  13. Same--also good for anything. Celebrity doesn't actually restrict OBC use, regardless of what the marketing implies.
  14. That's a lot of sailings! We're already booked on one of those, as a matter of fact. Maybe I'll call and see about getting DW and I separate rooms! 😉
  15. I'd say you made a good choice (not that you had a bad one to make). We were on Reflection in February, and she was in great shape. We actually prefer Michael's over the revolutionized Retreat Lounge. Both have their good points and shortcomings, but I'll take Michael's at least eight times out of ten. We also couldn't care less about a Retreat sundeck. We enjoyed the Sunset Bar very much, but it could use more shade. We didn't have the service issues others mentioned, but February was a lifetime ago in the cruising world.
  16. Go sign in on the Celebrity website, then click on the little down-arrowhead to the right of your name, then select "My Tier and Points" from the pulldown menu that appears. Scroll down a bit to find your reservations with estimated club points.
  17. It's not quite an "open bar." There is a particular menu you can select from. Other than that, you are correct.
  18. I imagine it varies with what they can get at a good price. I typically call my liquor, so I don't pay much attention to what's in the well. I do recall Gordon's gin at the Martini Bar recently. I want to say the rum was Castillo on at least one of our recent cruises, but I also believe I saw McCormick's on at least one cruise. I clearly recall that Scotch was Dewar's white label. Vodka has been Smirnoff or Tito's. I don't know about anything else. That's a mighty chi-chi well!
  19. Yes, they definitely brought us down in groups. I expect we also did pay for the meal.
  20. We do the same thing, and we also ask him to confirm spa appointments (if we haven't already done so). I agree that it seems the lion's share of cruisers that complain about not seeing their butler also somply expect him to stop by from time to time to see if they want or need anything. What they need to do is pick up the phone and call him (even if that means leaving a message). Frankly, I do not want anyone knocking on the door just to see if I want anything.
  21. It sounds like you are doing the reverse of our 2018 trip, so a lot of what I mentioned applies. My wife brought up that she couldn't recall whether the meal on the train was included orr whether we had to pay. Honestly, I'm not sure if I recall that correctly, myself, so I may have been wrong about that.
  22. Actually, they found that omicron provides less immunity than prior strains, not no immunity. They also found that the amount of immunity omicron provides depends on whether the subject previously was infected with other strains.
  23. It happens to the best of us! Cheers!
