at least Regent is separating the TA , journalists from paying guests what was not the case on Explora

last time there was a great wine lunch - what I could not do - cannot mix too different wines especially reds and also a Champagne lunch - no problem with mixing different bubbles

I am on that cruise as well was originally booked on Explora I , switched quickly after the first day on her

I will be on Symphony late May 2024 sailing from Toulon , actually La Seyne a smaller village aside Toulon I could not book an earlier cruise as I was "fully booked" for 2023 including a recent disaster on Explora. The included wines on C are indeed better as on other luxury companies , maybe an exeption for som French white wines on Regent but the Champagne is better on C said that, the wine list is not cheap on C , the wine list on SS is far cheaper !

2 weeks ago I was on a 2 days cruise event in my hometown - and I saw the lady responsible for the very presentations in Belgium, otherwise said the person who persuaded me to book very aware I am a food and wine snob she was annoyed and said "we are not going to talk about your cruise on Explora " and "all the others on board found it great "- yes + 100 TA and journalists overwhelmed by the Moët I like Champagne very much but not Moët and Champagne with every meal and every dish for 2 weeks ??? no way ... when things are free 🤑

very true - a lot of misleds and false marketing no single reply by Explora so far and i did mention on my comments "yes" on the question do you want to be contacted ???

Unfortunately at the very first presentation of Explora in Belgium , a lot more promisses were made as actually received on board ....even in a PH sumptuous cuisine with chefs going to buy locally and the very best complimentary wines in the all inclusive segment of the market I unfortunately never saw a chef going ashore during my cruise with many ports in England and Scotland -

i had to study Latin as from the age of 12 until 18 ( first year even 9 lessons a week in a Catholic Belgian School )😝 , but for translation of the above I am going to demand a hefty fee after 50 years 😜

I did 20 Crystal Cruises during the past Meanwhile I sent a few times all my information and 5 bookings were made - 1 for 2024 and 4 for 2025 So far no single email , letter brochure ,news or similar It seems for the continent EU everything is done in the UK ? And so far no representative on continental Europe - despite decent bookings in Germany and Belgium during the past ( so on old C ) However it was always a difficult product to sell in non UK Europe smaller cabins and difference between the highest non PH cabin and the cheapest PH was very substantial

I must confirm the bartenders mixologists in SALT were excellent on the Dawn ! I was there twice this year .

unfortunately new C also did announce that special for past guests involved in the bankrucy rather late if that was announced sooner I never had booked that disastrous Explora - all the more the person presenting Explora to me was a past Crystal ... very aware that F&B operations are very important for me. the top of luxury was promissed - a failure followed I wished many times - during my Explora cruise - I was not in a premier penthouse on E but on a modest cabin on new C !!

I constantly do receive - sometimes very thick - brochures from 2 companies where I did 1 and 3 cruises on in the past but never intending to go back... I hope Explora will not start to send me brochures as well 😝

I did inquire about the cheapest single fare for a balcony cabin on a 6 days cruise in June 2025 Marseille tot Lisbon : 6055€ the single cabin is 3900€ - I am not going to pay some 2000 € for a balcony !

yes , I am and I did pay a 5 fig fare ! those TA , journalists and similar did get attention by some superiors and were pampered , hors d' oevres and canapes - I gave a full sheet with comments , no single reply by gen manager F&B ... and I am not performing the liars club at all

agree ! Suduiraut , Guiraud and Doisy Daene in that order Guiraud and Doisy Daene also do have a dry white wine , not sure on Suduiraut Yquem does have "Y" very good but very overpriced had Lafon on Swiss in First ( for miles 😆)

the money obviously is there to pay the cheques of 2250$ i do not know the system in the US but in Europe if an administrator ( they call that a curator overhere ) of a bankrupcy is holding the money too long on his account , one can demand intrests first it was early summer , now we are in autumn ...

ms Europa 2 remains to be my favourite ship but some cruise are too long now in view of my condition and i cannot do the Med in high summer ...

and even "low" PH were not double 75 and 85 %

I was trying to book the last part - one week - of the World cruise 2025 ( 2 seadays ) waitlist so I moved to Symphony one day later for a 7 days cruise in Europe I do not oppose those single cabins that is the way I started on luxury cruises in 1990 : modest cabins ( but special wines 🙃)
