When on the Oceania website, did you check "no air" for the correct pricing on Simply More with no air?

I bet if you check you also will have beverage package under amenities....the "online" agency just used a different name but you have Simply More
  3. There are only 2 specialty restaurants instead of 4, Baristas is much smaller and in the area outside of the GDR, the bathrooms in the verandah, outside and inside rooms are much smaller but it has the most beautiful library, a very cozy atmosphere and you are sailing with 1/2 the number of people so you get to know fellow passengers and crew much easier.
  4. Prime rib is now available in the GDR on several different nights and even had it in Terrace one night....also had to go to Ember for my crab cake....
  5. WIFI has been free on O for many years. On all sailings after 01OCT 23, each stateroom has 2 free accounts.

When did you book this cruise - before or after 01OCT 23? If booked before 01OCT 23, you then still had the option of booking "cruise only". 2 WIFI accounts per room are included for all fares on sailings after 01OCT 23.
  7. As I indicted, they do musical trivia in Martinis in the evening....different from afternoon Trivia
  8. And if your CD is Ray Carr - you will find yourself booted out of Trivia if you bring out those electronic devices...your fellow trivia players will rat on you and Ray will not have any empathy...seen it happen
  9. Waves and Aquamar are open to the outside so there is no air conditioning but large fans and windows that open. They will always be the same temperature as the outside air. Terrace has the outer deck with the doors that are opening often. We found if you were in a table near the doors and around the serving stations (which are by the doors) were warmer but not uncomfortable. If you choose a table away from the doors, it was cooler. Our cabin is on Deck 12 and the halls and waiting areas around the forward stairs and elevators are warm - again a situation caused by the doors opening out to the pool deck which are opening constantly. The more common complaint we are hearing is that the public areas are too cool...
  10. Yes - currently Ray Carr (CD) leads trivia at 4:30 most days.....there also has been a musical Trivia in Martinis in the evenings.
  11. I don't drink hard spirits so not aware of how to accurately portray the "new" additives (is that better?) that are listed on the menus as "non alcoholic" gin, vodka, whiskey, wine, beer, etc....

Thanks - I know that and wanted to make sure people knew if they has a plug with the ground, it would work in the plugs available

They can not have any kind of surge protection...just a plain power strip with additional outlets...

We did bring with us an approved power strip that is plugged into one of the 110 outlets by the desk to make it easier to plug multiple devices in...,the provided power outlets by the desk are to the left side where the phone and makeup mirror sit so not a lot of desk top space for devices in front of the outlets.

I sailed with Lyn and will be handing the beautiful Vista off to you in a week...by the bed on each side, there is 1 USB outlet and 1 USB C outlet, 1 US 3 prong ( 2 vertical and 1 round - neutral) outlet. By the desk, there are 2 USB outlets, 2 USB C outlets, 2 US 3 prong outlets and 1 European (3 round prongs in a row). Hope this answers the question.

Excellent review - agree with almost everything you stated.
  17. I finally figured out that I should not wave my hand but just hold it still in front of the sensor.....it only took 3 weeks onboard for me
  18. Perhaps the difference is cocktails that do not involve any liquor (alcohol free or not) "Virgin" are included and if you are ordering something that involves an "alcohol free liquor" do involve a charge.
  19. Thank Lynn for your correct response - a separate paper detailing on how to complete the end of cruise evaluation was left on the bed with the nightly Currents several night before the end of the cruise. It was also mentioned in Currents and on the daily CD talk. The paper was also available at reception, the internet lounge and in the concierge and executive lounge,
  20. I was simply answering the OP's question if it was like Viking - which it is not, since Viking does not give any choice of wine poured other than red or white....I was not commenting on the quality of the choice just that you have one. Not everyone has your well refined palate and do enjoy some of the offerings onboard O. Obviously, enjoying a lovely meal ashore with local wines and food is the ideal but not always an option when not in port,
  21. No - on river cruise you have a choice of one red or one white that they carry around - on O there is an extensive list of red, white, rose, champagne, beer and port by the glass....all are included in any dining venue during meal times.
  22. Our cabin and 12016 are on the port side under Culinary Center, if you are under the Card Room then you are on the starboard side. I can't comment on your cabin.....but the stage for Horizons is on the Starboard side so you might here something if you are at the end of that hall. Right now the live music stops at 11PM and then it is taped music,.....O isn't known for late night revelry, as most are in bed early due to getting up early the next morning for going ashore.
  23. I am sorry - hopefully your TA will be able to talk with O and get them reinstate your original FCC
  24. We are currently on Vista deck 12 and your suite location will be quiet. There is a door separating the hallway for these suites from hallway for the stairwell, elevators and door out to pool and Waves Bar. The Culinary Center is not a noise issue either as it is not used constantly and generally for a 2 hour session in the morning or late afternoon - there is no loud music/talking nor chairs scarping as people stand at their individual work stations. We LOVE this location and have booked it for upcoming cruises on Vista. You will be happy...
  25. You decided not to take the FCC that was offered? Wouldn't this allow you to postpone the trip and take a trip you would like to see? It has been widely posted on this topic that O is offering a FCC....
