They do try to help by having a Northern Territory at the "top" and a South Australia at the "bottom". North is still in same direction even in the Southern Hemisphere.

Have you sailed since this was introduced fully ? - voyages departing on Monday the 3rd of October 2022 aboard Queen Elizabeth, Sunday the 23rd of October 2022 aboard Queen Victoria and Tuesday the 1st Of November 2022 aboard Queen Mary 2. I know some people were unhappy with the interim arrangements on QM2 with no fixed second sitting but is the new system working OK?

1. I can imagine 2. They will take fare type into account when allocating your dining. You might not get what you request but there is open dining as well as fixed sittings now. 3. In some ports shuttle buses are included for everyone. In others your ships card will be scanned and you will be charged. It's certainly a way of saving money when the difference is substantial.

Better is very subjective but if you thought Queen Victoria was run down you probably wouldn't enjoy QM2 There are some comments in this recent thread.

The ship currently being built is Queen Anne, who knows when/what the next one will be.

I don't think Dance Hosts have re-appeared since Covid. There was a suggestion that they might be reinstated for World Cruises but that doesn't help on Queen Elizabeth.

It's called the Carinthia Lounge on QM2 now.

There are light snacks and platters served in the Chart Room on Queen Victoria. They are included in the fare.

The letter was dated 23rd - Embarkation Day and refers to an earlier announcement. It's possible that was made before departure.

I think in the UK these fares are referred to as Cunard (for the more expensive version) and Early Saver. If you don't mind someone else choosing your cabin location and dining time then Smart will be fine. We've booked Saver fares some of the time.

I can't see anything in the English translation of the article you have posted that shows the repair was booked a considerable time in advance, where have you seen that ? The article specifically mentions an urgent call.
