  1. We really loved the finest resort in playa mujeres Mexico. The excellence half is adult and finest half family. We were very satsfied. We only sail in suites. Too clostrphobic for me in a small cabin
  2. We always stay in a suite on a cruise. At all inclusive hotels not only is all food paid for but alcohol. In rooms they supply drinks and snacks. We have free unlimited room service. The rooms are huge with marble floors a huge bathrooms. If you take a tiny cabin on a cruise ship and include wiifi and alcohol expensive. We enjoy cruising, and hopefully we will continue to. But will augment with AI resorts, especially in playa mujeres mexico
  3. It isn't listed on our entertainment listing. No headliner show. I asked the suite concierge and haven't gotten a response.
  4. No headliner show listed for 8/13 oasis
  5. I am not worried about the few dollars more for the hardworking staff, but the price of the cruise is now obscene. So sad that they are pricing many people out of cruising. We went to a wonderful, truly all inclusive resort in cancun recently which was a bargain compared to our upcoming cruise. We do like to sail in a suite- but entry level- the perks do not compare to a 5 star AI. resort. For now, we will continue to do both.
  6. We found some of the merchants on Labadee were very aggressive- Was annoying, but didn't feel unsafe. Also not nearly as nice as cococay.
  7. What days and times was the headliner show available? We are on the Oasis next week and I was curious. Thanks
  8. Reserved all but headliners show- any person who has recently cruised know what dates and times this show will be available? will move other shows to see this one- not a fan of cats and can scratch that show if necessary.
  9. We are on the oasis next week. Booked all except headliner show. What days/times are the shows offered? Thanks
  10. Love that port! Hope you have access to the Beach Club ! Service, ambiance and food 5 stars.
  11. We are early birds and I suggest arriving at the windjammer early. Also, Johnny Rockets serves breakfast both indoors and outdoors and is accessible. A nice change from the MDR. Enjoy the rest of your cruise.
  12. Since Mariner is an older ship- you do not have a suite restaurant or true suite deck- if the suite lounge is like the adventure- so not worth it- you can only have breakfast in specialty restaurant- I would keep JR suite and book specialty restaurants. Junior suite a good sized cabin
  13. We love the Oasis, especially in a suite. However, why not try the ICON? We have both booked- ICON next March- Oasis next week!
  14. Have a ball! Happy anniversary. We are on the next Oasis cruise in a crown loft. Booked over a year ago so the prices were better. We will be celebrating our 20th anniversary on this cruise. Enjoy!
  15. Many places to eat- all free, except the Beach Club. For reserved guests only. It is a waiter service sit down meal.
  16. This is the first time I haven't been able to do a royal up. We are in a CLS, but typically have an opportunity to bid on a move up. I didn't deal with a big box store, and my TA states she does participate in the program, but something is off. The cruise is in 19 days and I keep getting a message when I try to bid stating must bid 30 days in advance. While honestly I am very happy with my suite, and the cruise must be packed, just curious why this is happening. Is this happening to anybody else?
  17. We first went to Alaska twenty years ago in August. The weather was very warm- not what we expected. Except by the Glaciers. Forward fast, the Glaciers are melting so not so much calving . So sad I think everyone should see Alaska at least once- before the ice melts!
  18. IMO RC wins hands down. We found Princess to be plain vanilla- We were not impressed at all by the food choices, including the specialty restaurants, the service , entertainment and overall ship. The Crown and Caribbean princess were very crowded also- no longer for us. We stick to Royal Oasis class and Celebrity S and E class ships.
  19. We have done and enjoyed side by side's out of fort lauderdale. First leg was a celebrity one week Silhouette cruise, followed by a Royal Caribbean Harmony cruise. We loved it- the best of both worlds- have also enjoyed b/2/b's and those are great because you aren't packing when most people are- and getting on and off of the ship so easy. Enjoy
  20. You can make a plate and bring it from the suite lounge to your suite. No restrictions on carrying food out. In the morning, we bring fruit to our suite, salmon on a bagel. Plenty of choice- more then enough for a quick delicious breakfast- Coffee, tea and other drinks are also available. Trust me- you get more then enough calories! LOL
  21. I highly recommend the Beach club if it is available. The location is great- mostly adults only. It is like being at a suite deck- complete with a gourmet restaurant, wonderful comfortable lounges, dinner/lunch served- pampering staff- IMO the best beach day excursion of the cruise and worth the price.
