  1. We had sailed on deck nine in a central park view stateroom. Loved them. Yes you get a nice window seat. Room great if you are on a budget
  2. The beyond is a wonderful ship. The retreat lounge, luminae and sun deck are fabulous. We do not need a butler and prefer using the lounge for snacks etc. IMO AQ isn't worth additional at all-- would much prefer a sky suite- no comparison at all- AQ is s gimmick- with a substandard restaurant and perks we never used. We have had butlers on celebrity and stayed in a variety of suites, including royal suites. Some butlers were great and helpful- others did very little- and were never available. These folks aren't paid a huge salary and probably depend on tips, so celebrity is truly being interested in their own profits and not the quality of the cruise for its customers- time to maybe move on to another cruise line.
  3. probably depends upon the sailing. Perhaps during non-peak periods, more options available.
  4. Absolutely not worth it. We do not enjoy blu, and much prefer the luminae dining room. Never liked the small thermal lounge and no value IMO using any spa concierge. Save your money- try a speciality restaurant. Other in cabin spa perks IMO useless.
  5. Is this something new? Never heard of it.
  6. My DH wears jackets and suits. We enjoy dressing for dinner. A personal preference
  7. Did it once hardly any time. Ship only provides transportation. Ticket prices for a couple of hours insane. If we go to Disney, we do independent of cruise. Then we might take a cruise a few days later from Port Canaveral. Remember if you don’t get transportation from cruise line and for whatever reason get delayed, you can miss the 🛳️
  8. Sounds crazy. Perhaps a new Jr. Suite category that is sky class? Why would anybody pay more for a cabin with less perks? Prices do fluctuate. We booked a suite on the Icon the day bookings opened and now as time passes by the price has increased by 1/3 so a lesser cabin cost more. Key is to book early and preferably on board.
  9. We like both- if a special occasion, I go with Murano- more elegant- food very good at both- Found service better in Murano. Try to do both! Include Central Park also.
  10. What next? No food included in base price of cruise? We are Elite Plus on Celebrity and will be DiamondPlus on Royal. Perhaps our time for cruising might be over. AI resorts are truly all inclusive. Maybe time to consider.
  11. My granddaughter wouldn't know the difference- Never had turkey tenders.
  12. we also found a great shady spot on the Apex. We sit near the bar under the overhang. Also similar shady spot on other side of the pool. But why not have a true awning for those of us who want shade? I see people toasting themselves and cannot understand why they think it looks good. In a few more years, they may be sorry they did!
  13. We had no complaints about the windjammer on the Oasis class ships. We didn't like the cafeteria style on the Adventure of the seas- felt like back to elementary school. The old ships should go to dry dock and consider stations versus a long single line. No more old ships for me.
  14. My DH insists we fly first class. We are working people. However, he cannot stand three in a row and it makes him enjoy our vacations so much more. No problem with finding over the seat carry on luggage space and we both like being close to the bathroom and exit. We aren't rich but this sets the tone for a great vacation for us. We also like suites, we appreciate more room and enjoy the suite so much more then a regular cabin. The suite lounges and perks also make the trips so much more special. We used to go on 4 cruises a year, but will cut the cruises down as prices are now obscene unless you are happy with an inside cabin. To each his/her own.
  15. That is a real problem. Today, with so many people aware of the dangers of the sun, more shade should be available, just as smoking areas are limited- so should sunny areas be limited. My DH has had multiple pre cancerous skin lesions that had to be removed and one melanoma on his nose. It required plastic surgery, but fortunately he is fine. Happened about three years ago. In addition to skin cancer, I am concerned with wrinkles. It is especially important to keep your children well protected in the sun. Wear rash guard type swim jackets. The sun can be dangerous.
  16. Prices for the actual cruise and packages are so inflated now. When is a sale not a sale? We either have to pay those prices or not cruise.
  17. Yes! I heard that also! Thanks for the correction
  18. Grease on the Harmony was great! We will be on the symphony next summer and we enjoyed Mama Mia on another ship years ago so I look forward to seeing it again. We also enjoyed Chicago and Hairspray was the best. I think Annie may be the ICON show and like the broadway and film versions.
  19. Been on Disney- maybe less drunks- but screaming obnoxious kids running around all over the ship. Limited escape for adults- the restaurants are pretty and creative but the noise will ruin your vacation unless you also have screaming kids! Food wasn't great and service was rushed. For a relaxed cruise, try virgin voyages.
  20. That is a problem with Royal. We like the Oasis from NJ, but CATs is our least favorite show- so after the first Oasis cruise with CATS, no broadway show for us.
