  1. Do they serve salmon platters? They did on the M class. Also fresh fruit and cheese selections? I enjoyed the cappuccino in the morning also.
  2. We also would vote for Murano. However, sometimes you can get a "special" rate the first and last day of the cruise and you might want to try Tuscan. The wake view is beautiful.
  3. Your child will enjoy the ship. When your child is older- consider a Royal Oasis class ship. But at 3 certainly kids will have a ball.
  4. We sailed on the Solstice many years ago and enjoyed the cruise. Have sailed on all S class, Edge and M class ships. Last March we sailed on the Equinox and it was a wonderful cruise. However our favorite S class ships are the silhouette and reflection. We love the Lawn Club Grill.
  5. We do the alcoves when on the S class ships. Really enjoy them. No chair hogs to worry about. Nice that they serve you lunch on request, champagne, bottled water , cheese and fruit platters. If you want, you can also have bar service. It is included if you have drink package, or you pay as you go. We like the shade and quiet. The only negative is that no pool or hot tub on the deck. However just a short walk down to the pool deck. Sometimes we sit for a while in the solarium if we want a pool or hot tub. However, last time we were in the solarium it was so noisy. People were talking very loud and shouting so resting was difficult.
  6. Actually we did a land trip in Cancun. While we didn't wear mask, mostly outdoors on the trip, some people in our party of 40 did get covid. I think they might have gotten ill at the airport. The cancun airport was mobbed. Most people didn't wear masks. My DH and I did and didn't get covid. I also wore the mask on the airplane. We did get our shots and boosters and fortunately are healthy for young senior citizens.
  7. Unfortunately passengers on all cruise lines getting covid now. We were on a RC cruise a couple of months ago and many got Covid. They do not wear masks in theatre, crowd into elevators, and go on crowded shore x's. We were very careful and didn't get covid. We avoid the buffets also. I suggest everyone follow covid precautions. Mask up, sanitize your hands. Don't go into a crowded elevator.
  8. Mr. Sanchos is one of the best shore x's of all. Not ship sponsored, but it is great. We have been their at least 5 times- never disappoints. We once tried another beach club once practically next door- it was a great disappointment. Sticking with Mr. Sanchos!
  9. Check your regular luggage. If you have a backpack or carry on small piece of luggage with valuables and medication, take it yourself. Enjoy your cruise
  10. The tasting menu wouldn't work for us- my DH wouldn't enjoy items on menu.
  11. We get contacted when we sail in a Royal suite- don't remember if also Celebrity suite- but do not recall any contact when we sail in a sky suite.
  12. You were brave. After the Adventure of the Seas cruise, I would never again sail on that ship. Glad you enjoyed your Baltic cruise- We went on the Oasis this past August and had a wonderful experience. Will only consider Oasis class (suite level) royal cruises again.
  13. Yes- but the Finest half Club level. We had some kids with us in the family. Excellence portion is adults only. But the same hotel with different buildings. Enjoy
  14. Had such a great time in Playa Mujeres at this wonderful resort, we are booking again in July. We love the fact that everything is included. Many restaurants, and bars to choose from. Including room service. We still have multiple cruises booked for next year.
  15. No retreat as on the edge class ships. The reflection dosen't have a retreat deck. We rented a cabana on the lawn which was nice- but no pool or hot tub. We did get lunch offering, water, champagne and fruit and cheese platter. Bar service, but you charge to your account or if you have the drink package to the package. Instead of the retreat lounge, it was Michael's club- which was nice. Not sure if the S class ships have room for a true suite deck, with a bar/restaurant and water options.
  16. We recently did the chef's table. What a big disappointment. Never again. Menu wasn't nearly as good as in specialty restaurants. Never again.
  17. We definately would prefer more space inside then outside in a Royal suite. The storage space two bathrooms and size of the cabin most important. You can enjoy the retreat sun and lounge deck. We don't need to sit on our balcony all day. We enjoy people watching and participating in some activities. I can stay home if I want a big deck, private pool and hot tub.
  18. Our first b/2/b cruise will happen end of december and first week in January. We have the same sky suite for both. What is the process now? Royal offers a special luncheon for b/2/b guests, does celebrity? We are on the Apex out of fort lauderdale. Any inforrmation would be appreciated. Thanks
  19. They offer a "move up" program and a guarantee program. Not aware of other programs. You can also go immediately to the CS desk as soon as you board as they might be able to give you an upgrade if somebody cancels at the last minute-for a small upgrade charge-
  20. We love cruising on big new Royal and Celebrity Ships. However, I must admit we did a couple of All inclusive resorts in Cancun and absolutely loved them. So while cruising is still our number one choice for a vacation, the AI's are another great option for us.
  21. Directly to the servers You are assigned a server who will be helping you the entire visit.
  22. We never participate in those "art auctions". Most items are prints, some with brush strokes of oil added to make the print look realistic. The only items we saw that were authentic are Fazzio's. His work can immediately be verified by emailing the artist in NY. However, shipping and other up charges make the purchase more expensive. We do not care about the "free" champagne. However some people IMO spend money in the Casino, so consider your "art" work a reminder of the trip.
  23. We love both ships for different reasons. Each has it's charm and is a great experience. We love the Lawn club grill on the silhouette- but if you are in a suite, the amenities on the Edge class cannot be beat. The retreat deck and lounge are fantastic! If you are in a regular cabin, you can dine around at three great restaurants- not one huge dining room like a catering hall.
  24. We also are light drinkers, however the food and amenities are worth the cost. Place is very comfortable with great service.
