  1. Another vote for 150 Central Park. But we enjoyed the Hibachi Restaurant- always corny fun.
  2. While it might be nice to experience a Star class, we are more then satisfied with the CLS on the Oasis class ships. IMO best location, next to suite lounge and restaurant, and love the two bathrooms. Tons of storage also. We just booked a "family suite" on the Icon as the price was the most affordable. Not really afforable, but others are much higher
  3. Try calling a travel agent. They have rooms on hold.
  4. We decided too expensive. We wanted a suite and the bottom suite was too high. Will stick to Oasis class for now and Celebrity. S and Edge class.
  5. Lucky! You could also try to have professionally cleaned on the ship if an emergency. I stick to White wine!
  6. Those are Aqua suites- not Aqua class cabins. If an aqua suite- same benefits and I would take it!
  7. Not the suite restaurant, which IMO is so much better then Blu. Also, the suite lounge is wonderful and depending upon the ship, the suite deck is also great- And the points? More for a suite. I truly look foward to those perks and wouldn't change, unless they offered me a full refund and an aqua cabin.
  8. We want to try the Icon also. However the prices are much to high for us IMO. We will wait a year or so when the ship becomes more affordable. We LOVE the crown loft suites, and I highly recommend you stick to the Harmony for now. Also, when you book for example the Icon on the Harmony, you will get nice on board credits. Then if you transfer to a good TA you can add on board credits to your Icon cruise.
  9. We will also be on the Apex in March! But we will be on her for the first time in December/january. While We are loyal to celebrity and Royal, have tried others including: Disney, Carnival and Princess, they all disappoint us and aren't nearly as good as Celebrity and Royal. However this is just two peoples opinion. We want to try MSC yacht club as we heard nice things about it.
  10. If you are fussy, bring your own. For me-ok- my DH brings his own shampoo.
  11. We love the reflection sky suites. We never had a noise problem. Just try to pick a location midship. We get up early and never have been bothered by noise- We once had an issue on the Silhouette with the aft sky suite on deck 12- soot and too much sun in the morning- could never enjoy breakfast on the balcony. Also couldn't leave anything to dry on balcony as the soot would dirty the washed items- We also had the window washing cage blocking our side window. Parked their the entire cruise.
  12. We had it on the Oasis in August. What a waste! Better to book two dinners in a specialty restaurant. Food was awful.
  13. Also the suite sun deck which is great! The CLS is wonderful! Perfect location wonderful room with two bathrooms!
  14. Following as we are doing our first back to back on the Celebrity Apex, December/January. Also Elite plus and in a suite both legs of the cruise.
  15. Looks like a wonderful ship! Cannot wait to sail on her.
  16. We often times order from the MDR menu in Luminae. We also special order some items. If you are a vegan, diabetic or gluten free, the M'D will prepare meals for you if not listed on the menus. Just speak to him/her when you board. Have a great cruise. Never had a problem on any class of celebrity ship. Even the Buffet have special dietary items also. Enjoy your cruise.
  17. Not at all private. I felt like an animal in a cage at the zoo.
  18. You get some perks with concierge. Plush linen, daily canapés, more points per day towards captains club benefits. IMO if not that much more, we would go for concierge.
  19. Unless you move to a sky suite, enjoy your aft balcony. Enjoy your cruise
  20. We are loyal to both. Enjoy the Oasis class ships on Royal. Entertainment and activities wonderful. Specialty restaurants great. So many things to love. Especially in suites. We also love Celebrity. Wonderful food and service- we enjoy the upscale feel of the edge class and solstice class. Both lines are great. IMO you cannot go wrong with either line. My only negative comment is that some of the Royal older ships- aren't great . While even Celebrities older ships are fine.
  21. You will absolutely love the Crown Loft! Yes you have access to both the Diamond lounge (typically very crowded) and the suite lounge- great and "free drinks " during certain hours. Nice treats during the day and very comfortable seating. The Coastal kitchen is attached to the suite lounge and we found the food to be much better then the buffet or other "free" dining venues. But of course less choice. The suite sun deck is also great. Very comfortable seating- a great bar with a wonderful bartender. We prefer the harmony as it has a hot tub. The Oasis only has a shower water feature. If you want to go in a pool or hot tub, you need to go down to the pool deck. If your budget allows, treat yourself to a crown loft! Great location-two full bathrooms tons of storage.
  22. Just noticed my cruise was offered for a move up. December 30, 2022 on the Apex. I cannot believe the prices! So high. I am currently in a S2 and yet the additional cost is so high. Best to book early and stay put now.
  23. Saw on Move up site offer for my December 30 Apex sailing: So soon! Ship: Apex Lenght of cruise 8 Days Sail date: 12/30/22 E-mail offer- none on site checked myself Captains Club Tier: Elite plus Current cabin: s2 Bid: absolutely not! Iconic Suite:$7000-$17,50 Penthouse suite: :$2000 -$5000. Edge Villa:$3,100-$7,500. Royal Suite: $2000-$5000 Celebrity Suite:$1500-$3,750. I have a great suite- includes suite perks. Paid for the SS already and it wasn't cheap. No need to pay those inflated high rates above.
  24. We tip extra to our stateroom attendant, waiters and bartenders. If on a ship with a butler or concierge and they provide excellent service we also tip them. I believe that these people work very hard and additional cash tipping helps them.
