  2. Hopefully it is a matter of getting the proper documentation from your doctor. We had to cancel once, the day before our cruise as DH had to have emergency surgery the day of embarkation. His surgeon was also going on a cruise the day after and he was extremely cooperative with the documentation and signatures we needed as he totally understood the situation. It still took a bit of time with the insurance company but we did get the reimbursement for everything that wasn't reimbursed by the cruise line (taxes, port fees, etc.)
  3. Carnival's insurance includes cancel for ANY reason, so canceling for anything pre-existing is not an issue. They are light on the actual medical coverage though.
  4. Actually for us older folks it's the best deal you can get price wise - very hard to beat since it doesn't take age into account, only price of cruise fare.
  5. Been a long time since I've seen the "Capers" - thanks for the memories!
  6. That's a long time to be on a ship with food that is only tolerable.
  7. I had an aft wrap on Magic in November. On just one day I had some light soot. After that I made sure to check each day, but it didn't happen again.
  8. While not steakhouse brunch, on the Mardi Gras seaday brunch they had some steakhouse options for an upcharge. I had the lobster benedict and still think about it, it was wonderful.
  9. Wow, not what I pictured in my mind. Can't wait to see photos of your day.
  10. I'm pretty sure it IS location. I was aft last time, and aft again this time so not expecting improvement. Thankfully I don't really need internet this time 🙂
  11. Glad to hear you had an enjoyable time!! I agree, it's the humans. I was on the Magic a few months ago and it was one of my best cruises with my only complaint the WiFi. We are on Magic again the end of this month, looking forward to it.
  12. It is WAY more crowded than it used to be. There was a time when it was a Fantasy Class ship for this port and a much different vibe. Things change.
  13. It is pricing many of us out now. We used to pay under $200 for a cabana and it kept creeping up. We had thought about one of the villas for an upcoming cruise but it doesn't make sense anymore. We will miss them. Will start booking other ports instead of HMC just to avoid feeling the loss LOL.
  14. Fellow Floridian here... laughing my butt off. We could use these guys
  15. Thanks so much, really enjoyed this (and all your other) reviews. Can't wait for your next one. Safe trip home.
  16. That's because hospice was involved. Pretty much same as when folks die in a nursing home.
  17. You might be surprised, PVPs are usually on until pretty late at night.
  18. I can't believe no one has mentioned the topless deck... if someone did I missed it, sorry!
  19. I had nothing but problems with internet on Magic... MG worked awesome
  20. On my Iphone the only thing I've done is FaceTime - for the most part has worked well.
