  1. Business as usual is not good enough at this point. It's less about the costs than the downgraded experience. Recent/ current Cruisers report that food quality is subpar and there are limited choices. ( mashed potatoes all the time?) Inclusions are changing daily and Mgmnt is rapidly converting X to a Royal C format... kids in the Solaroium, Happy Day at Coco Cay.. We have 2 E Class cruises booked and will then re-assess
  2. we buy them but now can only get prints, e mail or an upload.. on E class ships the photographers are set up in various locations . never in our face! very high tech and nice results! Green screen gives more choices
  3. Is X mgmnt in damage control or are they gleeful that they have been able to make big changes right under our noses? they are still booking well, and gaining new cruisers..also a big goal
  4. thank you for that.. I copied a bit of it and pasted what I could below . Agree new and younger cruisers will be needed as many, like me and my husb start phasing out. (maybe sooner rather than later if X keeps heading in the Royal C direction) from CLIA "1.Younger generations are the future of cruise with 88% of Millennials and 86% of Gen-X travelers who have cruised before say they plan to cruise again. 2. There is more interest than ever before among Millennials and Gen-X travelers to take their first cruise with 73% of those who have never cruised indicating they will consider a cruise vacation. Millennials were most interested at 77%, followed by Gen-X at 73%. 3. To attract more first-time cruisers and meet the needs of repeat cruisers, cruise lines are offering both shorter and longer cruise itineraries. As a result, while the average cruise length continues to be around 7 days, the range of .."
  5. great itin..did I miss the name of the ship? We like AQ Class..usually come back to that for BLU and thermal suites.
  6. What about photo packages? On our last cruise, BEYOND, we signed up for one but they could not do it and we cancelled it.. We ended up buying prints and they gave us some folios. Worked out ok but we liked getting the photo package.
  7. Celebrity has always had great soup....hot and cold Mashed pot..would not enjoy..
  8. very small dunk pool monopolized by few..
  9. very detailed review..Thanks for posting...not many reviews right now on CC
  10. what type of ques are asked? self serving or ones where you can give opinions and suggestion?
  11. interesting replies.. the diverse cruise history of those joining X may impact on the cruise culture of Celeb aside from the Royal revolution!
  12. Thumbs Up for that! we are booked on it in Jan..will do our comp laundry bags and wash bathibgs suits in the sink as always .& drip dry in the shower..
  13. Seeing post from cruisers new to X. Just curious about where they cone from...new cruisers, other lines, TA recs etc???
  14. Seems everything on Celebrity is now for sale a la carte! Modern Flea Market Cruise Luxury
  15. Sounds like BINGO is better..everyone plays!
  16. Are they serious? They must expect millionaires to book on Celebrity ? the Sky Suite along Magic Carpet..not even a great location
  17. Oasis can have that effect! Very non luxury..!
  18. the solo lobster could be okay if one had a filling appetizer, soup or salad, but the rest of the plate looks quite sad and empty. was there any butter sauce? remember when waiter ir maitre d would take lobster out of the shell?
  19. our opinion Celebrity, for us , over many yrs was like a secret Country Club at Sea. Fewer ships, folks who sailed 4 or more times a year, running into each other frequently, and a staff that was like family. Many friendships formed back then. It had great smaller " modern" ships with brass, glass and wood decor. Exceptional dining service and cuisine Excellent live music, shows, lectures, wine events etc All guests were well treated by the staff and officers....no big " class " divisions. Nice loyalty program. .Managenent that cared! As the line grew, we still enjoyed the ships and the upscale classiness of the brand at great pricing. Then came the Royal C. influence. LLP began the slide, and the new mgmnt team is completing the obliteration of X.. Celebrity will be just another part of Royal C's moderate level cruise line..Royal will never allow it to be anything more so in our opinion it was premium but not anymore...
  20. I asked my husb if he wanted to play the game for our 1 excursion and 3 pre booked dining res. for ASCENT. He said NO.. He is happy with what we have. Any re do would involve cancellations and re bookings on our BOA ROYAL POINTS card..plus point adjustments! Plus the risk that our desired dinner time slots would be lost.. Guess the clock has run for him with X. Getting excited about trying Cancun in lieu of booking another cruise beyond the 2 we have already!
  21. Our "NEW" #4 invoice arrived. The final payment amt is correct..The workaround was that rep left the change fee of $200 but reduced the cruise fare by that amount. He was afraid it would get messed up doing it the "usual way". I feel bad for staff that have to deal with all of this apparently without much notice! We are happy to have what we booked and have no need to reduce or change anything.. If the cancel us..oh well.. deposit credit goes to our card! Good luck everyone!
  22. thanks..I like a basic face cream sold on board.I .buy it and then use in Fla over winter.Maybe I'll stock up!
