Often quite true. Pre cruise, in San Pedro, Ca cruise folks were impatiently storming the person at the check in desk. We let him know we were there, and said we would get coffee so he could deal with the frantic mess ..no rush! We were rewarded with an amazing corner 2 room suite..huge with panoramic views ! All for being patient! Sometimes the personal touch does pay off

We will have a nice amount of OBC for a short cruise on Beyond.. Other than the spa, if I decide to book, we do not plan to book excursions. We will get off at Cozumel for some shopping at the pier, but would rather use up OBC on board. What stores can we expect to find? Will it be like EDGE which was mostly hi end Jewelry? Do they have logo Tee shirts or tees at a decent price? Prices on EDGE were crazy..even for a hat. Will there be anything we can buy for our grandchildren..ages 2 and 6? EDGE had zero..Very disappointing. We did get a Crystal ship on EDGD, but another one for Beynd is not needed And how is stock pricing etc in the liquor store? Any info appreciated. Final payment being made soon!

We look for port pricing..esp b/c we stay on board for at least one port day. The new grat is annoying but if I go no.one will get anything extra or a product sale! I think E Class has diff provider that other ships which may have Canyin Ranch..they are bad. Not sure..have not cruised since Covid. Not sure I will book spa services anymore post Covid but will seek best price.

We enjoyed Belize, we did Celeb "old and new city excursion.." Enjoyed the visit... interestibg place cute little snack restaurant was located before the boarding place..long ride back to ship..flat calm water

Airport hotel is best option. Close by taxi ride, shower and sleep. Maybe go mid level pricing but definitely pick someplace with a nice breakfast venue on site. Reserve shuttle or taxi for trip to port next day. This will add cost to your trip but worth it to be refreshed on boarding day..

On EDGE it was easy for us..we had anytime and booked res for diff venues at the same set time, Worst was the first night b/c we booked the restaurant where the set diners started out..too crowded and chaotic. Tuscan and the Cyprus are smaller than the other two..all had great food!

Chance s are good you will make but too stressful for us.. book a later flight or stay over...

Terminal 25 was all hi tech..just go thru.. Grab a porter who will get you into a taxi asap...and off you go!

Yes, it is just a large window that can open while we preferred our Sunset Veranda, we also found things to like about the Inf veranda when we sailed in AQ Class, We used it as a winter garden, open to the cabin interior and set up a nice area for the small table and chairs...made cabin feel more spacious. Window could be opened for some sea air and views, nice photos...but it is not a true balcony.

APEX......will probably be Amazing. We loved EDGE.... Very beautiful art work, state of the art theater with top notch shows. Wonderful restaurants, and EDEN is a cutting edge space..small but fun bar, The CLUB also has shows and music.,Rooftop is worth a visit fir movues or music or food...,Amazing spa, beautiful solarium, functional gym.... No one needs to end the day at 10 pm.

A bad idea! Families should have upscale options..not just the Mouse! If anyone wants fewer kids or almost kid free on X, avoid booking holidays and school vacation dates. Most kiddos on X are nicely behaved, well supervised and properly dressed. All others need not apply!

A few yrs ago we cancelled a cruise b/c a duo used the roll call to to promote making an unsanctioned movie with roll call members participation, and they were holding some type of pvt holiday fundraiser...???? They never let up. Those who complained were bullied on the roll call and we were afraid there would be an incident on board, best to avoid. Eventually Cruise Critic dropped them. Bad enough we get the art auction ads, spa fliers and of course GOOP promotions,.. Thankfully selling ones wares on board is a no no...very crass!

But the 5 night is good? We booked it figuring if we got sick we could get off at the end and drive..no extended quarantine involved???

If Celebrity follows suit this would be good news for us. We are booked on Beyond for a 5 night western Carib cruise in November so it fits the parameters used by Royal C. We will bring our own rapid tests and use masks when aproprate, but this change would remove the pre cruise hassle and anxiety of locating an acceptable test in West coast of Fla where we wil be staying pre cruise. We are triple vaxed but seems even that is no guarantee these days! Hope it happens!

Go with Celebrity.. We did a RT from San Pedro..awhile ago..on Summit...it involved very many sea days but we did not have to fly to or from Hawaii..esp after flying out to the west coast pre cruise. We had a great on board experience with our Hawaiii ambassador. ( Paki) Had lectures and activities every day ...made leis and crafts..learned abt geography, geology, culture, etc. Took hula lessons and performed in the theater. Great meals and parties on board.... cruise days passed by so nicely esp with time zone switches. Excellent choice of excursions and we passed by volcano lava flow at night..deck party. Loved volcanoes natl park, whale watching, snorkeling, black sand beaches great flowers in Hilo, Diamond head, Pearl Harbor was a lifetime memory....a must do! One of our best vacations ever..even with short time for Hawaii itself On one excursion, we spent the day with staff from the Pride..very nice people but very unhappy crew. They do get paid more than X staff but mentioned lots of labor issues and unhappy conditions on board with the ship and the programs..convinced us we made the right choice going with X...

Our cruise is in early Nov 2022..so will the current refund policies appy if we test pos before we cruise? I assume testing will still be required along with our vax certifications. Cruise is for only 5 days. We are hoping to make it thru to use up large fcc..and after that we can re assess whether cruising is our best vacation option going forward as we age .
