  1. we did not like the bed orientation of the Sky suite on BEYOND....bed faces out to the water but you move sideways.
  2. yes.. also definitely on our list as well... We wanted Malta but got Corsica on our cruise itin .. Seems they are not comparable! another great review by Miaminice
  3. we have a nice travel size Brita filter pitcher.. It's .easy to pack, simple to use! But I also bring on a few btls of Spring Water
  4. Some relatives just cruised to/ from Bermuda/NY over July 4th with 2 teen and 1 college student, but opted for Norwegian.. waiting for feedback! (Driving to Bayonne is a big annoyance from where we live on LI NY..even with upgraded highways!)
  5. We always prefer bed by bath.. It makes the rest of the room seem more roomy & useful, although bed by bath can be a bit tight for use of closet on some ships. On one of our EDGE cruises , we had bed by the Inf Veranda. We.had to keep bi folds open ( as we do anyhow) to have room for far side of the bed..Husb had to step onto inf veranda floor to get in and out.. these cabins are long and narrow..but we manage... Another Q, what's better? Travelling feet first or head first?
  6. I think the sign said grass is resting! not easy to grow grass at sea!
  7. just no swimsuits without a cover up.. you'll be fine!
  8. very good suggestions.. I also bring a few small cans or containers of apple or tomato juice ( we drive to port). 1 of the 4 mdrs will serve sit down bkfst and lunch, there's also EDEN cafe most days, spa cafe...lite healthy bkfst with.a few tables. And burgers/ hot dogs at the pool cafe. Buffet lunch can be interesting some days! for mdr dinner, children other than very young toddlers/ babies might want to dress better than shorts, esp chic night..all the kiddos always look so nice.. khakis and shirts for boys, sundresses for girls. in room tv/ movies for kids and adults are limited..bring their own devices for fun/ games! family movie may be shown up on the garden area Enjoy!
  9. great choice..We really liked ASCENT.. other than the very party atmosphere and daytime.sports inside...fewer places for peace & quiet but we found them!
  10. Wondering what's planned for ECLIPSE... we are booked for 2026 after a refurb or update. ???
  11. Wow... lots of nice cruise plans ahead. Will look forward to your reviews! Very fun to read...
  12. Owners/ mgrs of X are hastening.this along with the latest Crossover changes..so many more Royal C Diamond plus will now have advanced X status too thus swelling upper levels.
  13. We havent had chickens yet, but screaming babies, barking dogs, tvs, loud music.. and inherent language issues...Not so much on our calls to Celebrity( been lucky with them).... but many insurance companies, dept stores, charge cards, etc now have calls go offshore. Very frustrating! One we sense it will not go well we say ooops..have to go..we'll call later!
  14. We also tested the waters on Sovereign..I had cruised before but was not sure husb would enjoy it. He did and we immediately moved over to X. ..and fell in love with Mercury!
  15. Same thoughts here...we used to cruise on both lines but moved away from Royal, as ships grew in size..Royal back then was lots of fun, good shows and music. We went back once and tried Oasis...It was not for us. Too big, too crowded..lots of lines .basic food even in Specialty Dining. The Adult Solarium out back made it bearable but we were happy to disembark! Dtr and son in law agreed but he liked the flow rider and zip line. We had a pvt over the water cabana on Labadee which we all enjoyed..away from crowds. E Class is much better for the money for a " younger" vibe..but hope X does not become Royal!
  16. oh .. I thought that was the actual pricing, which would not be equitable. We do not use the app so I have no idea what its problems may be?? I do not drink wine, so I have no idea of good from bad or prices! I do know that restaurants often charge more for the same dish at dinner & lunch but assume the dinner portion is larger,... guess I'll.just leave it alone
  17. We cruise in late Jan for my b day but always hope to avoid those large groups. the group takes on a life of its own and all others are outsiders.
  18. That would be wrong! The bedrock of Manhattan made skyscraper development possible!
  19. We had same reaction from others yrs ago when we took a short 5 night cruise on Mercury for our late Sept anniversary. Itin was..Outside and Inside Passage. Flew from NY to Seattle for 2 days and then cruised..stopped at Nanaimo, & Victoria. Spent one night post cruise near Seattle airport but had an amazing waterfront dinner...best salmon ever! It was one of our most memorable cruises ....We had great weather on a premier X ship and a Happy Anniversary! remains to be seen how the new short itins work out..we are booked on Silho for four nights..no Coco Cay!
  20. Fishing looked fun! But if you go back again... The old town is amazing..history, good food, authentic shops! Involves alot of walking so maybe not good for when u bring the Queen! One of our fav places!
  21. posting for fellow CC member who could not find link..but I and many ithers have the same Question and are interested in it being enforced! "Why continue to have a Dress Code when it is rarely if ever enforced? Please keep it and enforce it. '
  22. And completely out of touch.. very bad timing with removal of balc loungers!
