The Cruise Planner closes and becomes unavailable 72 hours before your cruise. The only way to cancel something is to call. And then it goes onto your SeaPass account as OBC.

Do the RoyalUp. (but first go online and compare the cost to just "upgrade yourself". It is not unusual for this to be a better deal.)

You are getting a lot of "general" information. You need port-specific information. You are cruising out of Bayonne/Cape Liberty. My experiences there are roughly 50/50 - stay on ship and be led out into the terminal and back again. You won't know which you will have until you get that letter in your cabin halfway through the first cruise. The meeting time was either 8 or 8:30. I am just drawing a blank at this moment.

I would say that your last paragraph is accurate. The lack of earlier boarding times (they are really check in times) stems from your late booking. You could only check in after you had booked the cruise, and by then, all of the "better", i.e., earlier times, were already gone. So you haven't really missed out on any secret knowledge. You are just a last minute booker who is now going to have to deal with the cards you have. 🙂
