  1. You might want to check your math. Crew Appreciation = $16 out of $60 Plus package cost (pp/day).
  2. But you still love her for it anyway. Good man, T.
  3. Very doubtful one agent will be rogue.
  4. I disagree. The guest reservation record should be flagged for a number of dining credits. In fact, this particular one should not require anything at all since it can be derived from category of cabin booked. However, perhaps this is what they went by in the past and there actually is a counter type field that contains the number of SD credits for guest. In this situation, it should be set to 1 or bumped up by 1 if other credits exist. As long as that field is passed to the Princess App (DMW process), that process knows by reference that guest has SD credit(s), so no charges should occur. When a res is made in DWM, the counter should be reduced until it hits zero, at which time the guest is charged. The cruise res system of record (POLAR) does not need to be updated by a back-feed as it contains the original grant of SD credits for the guest and DMW ought to be able to manage the res process once it is initialized with the SD credit count. I do not see any need for touching "every software system" at all in this situation.
  5. If I was to win a free cruise I know who to call. 😉
  6. I think all she was suggesting is that the experience is likely to cost more than the Chef Table Lumiere which makes sense to me. Beyond that, I don't imagine any regular guest would know what the price point could be.
  7. Seems like Southampton is an outlier. IDK your CC Member level, but if Elite or Platinum, or booked into Reserve Class cabin or a Suite (regardless of CC Member level), no guest should be detained from checking in upon arrival. Most of the "gatekeepers" I have encountered are not PCL employees and who knows where they get directions from. The arrival time staggering was a Covid thing and PCL has the ability to define and adjust how many guests fit in a group and sub-group. Those groups could be pretty open these days as I have not read lately of anyone reporting/inquiring on here about having a late time in the App. I wonder what the latest App times are these days (after early times are supposedly filled up). The whole thing makes no sense to me anymore since any check-in I have been involved in or read about begins long before the earliest time offered in the App - in fact some guests are on board the ships before the earliest App arrival time. I am, of course, unfamiliar with Southampton and no idea the size of the terminal indoors, etc. I do know if I was affected, I'd be asking ship personnel or PCL HQ why Southampton was doing this.
  8. They are sold on the App, but you used to be able to pick up the form anonymously and drop it in the box anonymously. I have bought our recent ones using the App - NP.
  9. I have been looking to find out what is happening on the ships with the following situation and hoping someone who checks out this thread will have an answer. We know a 1-device plan is $15/day and a 4-device plan is $40/day. (Less 50% if qualify for the discount). If one orders a 1-device plan pre-cruise - OR - has the 1-device plan included due to booking the PLUS package, the Princess App on board will offer to upgrade the guest to the 4-device plan. My question is, how much is that upgrade cost? One might expect it to be $25/day - the price difference between the two plans. However, there were a couple of reports not long after the new prices were implemented that guests were getting offered the upgrade for only $10/day (the old price difference between 1 and 4 devices). Can anyone report from recent on board experience, what it cost to upgrade from 1-device to 4-devices and were you on PLUS or had you pre-purchased the 1-device plan? Thanks much.
  10. No and this has been written about since the new scheme was announced. Same pricing on-board as pre-cruise, so it is good to wait until Day 1 if you have OBC to consume. (I look at it the other way - there is no longer a surcharge for waiting to book Medallion Net on board the ship).
  11. That time is for flying from London airport and presuming international. The OP is taking a short domestic flight from the local airport. Doesn't need a lot of time for that.
  12. The stupid App does random weird things due to crappy IT resources. We know this now going on over 2 years (launched June 7, 2021). If you have completed all info at some point and have green, just check-in like normal and don't worry about it. If anyone asks, tell them you were green, but the buggy App is acting up and ask the check-in person if anything is amiss from their side. They can quickly advise if they need anything. I don't think many places even have actual Green or Blue lanes - I saw more priority versus non-priority check-in (but don't claim to have current knowledge everywhere). It is unfortunate that so many guests have to end up worried about their check-in status due to poor software design and execution.
  13. I would totally advise against a clamshell. They are more like an oven and still open to the sun anyway for the most part. Unless you were to turn them around and face the land rather than the water which would help. Best to get early and claim under a tree or under one of the roof covers. As for the roofs, well look for more than one by itself and be prepared to move as the sun moves because the cover is limited.
  14. If guests arrive prior to when they open check-in processing, they will have to wait either outside or in some sort of holding area.
  15. Hi, @dog. I wasn't trying to be funny. Many posters here contributed innumerable posts to this effect. Seems easier to give a short answer to this one that has been posted so much rather than a detailed explain. Some folks do fret over this aspect needlessly. Hope you are enjoying summer in TO and I think we have had enough of the smoky air. Happy Canada Day.
  16. Doesn't show in Travel Summary. Doesn't show when shopping on Princess.com (which is supposed to be showing you the one best deal for you when logged in). You can see these codes when using many third-party booking engines. Otherwise, discuss with a Princess rep or CVP or your TA. It helps to know what codes are out there and which one you are potentially after. If you don't have self-service access to a third-party booking website, then ask TA or Princess about the offers and what the codes are. Make sure you are getting the best overall deal (Price to pay and OBC).
  17. Arrival times in the App mean nothing in reality. Arrive at the terminal for check-in at your convenience.
  18. Or, try accessing DMW using the web version of Ocean Ready (Princess App).
  19. Folks. I have posted this once or twice. Shop "your voyage" and see if it has Promo Code MM5 attached as eligible booking code. It has to have that one or it is not included.
  20. Yes, that may make it easier, but IIRC, they were informing the authorities of anyone departing the ship.
  21. Yes, a guest should expect to be disembarking early on after ship is cleared. But it may be possible to delay that to sometime prior to the all-aboard. It's going to depend on local authorities at the port. The customs/immigration officials may not be around all day I suppose. Anyway, just ask at GS on board as the mgmt on board has final say.
  22. That is a mail/marketing campaign code. All Booking Promo Codes for PCL are three alphanumerics. The correct info is below. This post correctly reports the Promo Code as MM5.
