  1. We don’t usually buy the drink package because we find ourselves drinking more to get our moneys worth especially since I like beer. Usually buy the soft drink package and just buy drinks as needed.
  2. 6am does not mean much. In General usually if you walk off it will be at least 7am maybe a bit later. If you get in line early and walk off you should be in a cab before 730 and to FLL by 7:45. It would help if you are TSA precheck. I would say you can do it but not much pad.
  3. The root cause of the food cut backs is the RCCL Chairman who seems to be on a mission to cut every possible cost to make back all the money lost during covid. As a stock holder this is good but as a cruiser this is bad. Royal as a large base of loyal cruisers but cutting things is not going over well. My thought is why not add $100 to the price of the cruise and keep the quality of the food up? I will say our last cruise was on the Beyond and the food was good but the portions very small so we just ordered extra. MY next Royal cruise is in 2 weeks on the Harmony and I will see how the new menu is, From what i Have seen I am not excited. Not enough choices.
  4. Went to a Divi in Feb. plan to go back. All list is accurate. Only drawback is no drink served on the beach. You need to walk to a bar or store at buy what you want. I plan to take a small lightweight folding cooler next month.
  5. Little Divi Beach is much closer than Orient Beach but nicer than Great Beach. Very short walk and they do rent chairs. There is several bars but in Feb there was no beach drink service. You had to go to the bar and buy what you want. We love Orient beach but our last few trips the seaweed has been bad. We are going back to Divi in October.
  6. It is not as popular but we went to Cinamon Beach once and it really just a nice beach. Not run by the park.
  7. While there is things on that menu I like I believe it is short on choices and I have never seen a hamburger on the a MDR menu. Hoping in time with enough complaints they will rework the menu.
  8. Actually not a bad way to handle the hurricane delay and moving to Manhattan is like treating NYC has an overnight port stop. Good chance for people to explore the city and much better than NJ.
  9. I have another question. How does the wow band work with non bar drink servers by the pool and other places?
  10. So I have a Oct cruise on the Harmony and a Feb cruise on the Odyssey. Are you saying if I buy the bands I can use them on both ships just by getting the ship to change the data after boarding?
  11. The drink package is now at 30% off which is better than the 25% off or buy one get one 50% off sales they have be running.
  12. The Ferry from Red Hook runs at the top of the hour and the return trip at the bottom of the hour. As of now we plan to get off ship by early and catch the 8am Ferry and get the. 1230 back. We have done this before but like I said the ship excursion is not bad just short on time and eliminates 2 cab rides.
  13. I am on your cruise. We plan to go to Trunk. I have taken the on your own several times. The advantage is you get ferry to Cruz Bay from near the ship. They drop you off and you take a short cab ride to Trunk. The Ferry will give you a pick-up time to be back at the ferry dock. The disadvantage is the listed time of the excursion is 4 hours but i have heard it is longer. The ferry ride is probably 45 min from Crown so you have about 2.5 hours on St. Johns and allowing for the cab you have about 2 hours on the beach. Maybe someone can comment who has been recently. I believe we are going to get off the ship early and take a cab to Red Hook and take the Ferry to Cruz and Trunk. It should give us more time but you need to be careful on time. The on your own is more worry free. I wish we could just take the excursion Ferry back.
  14. I would choose St Martaan & St Thomas unless you really want to see PR. Really depends on what you want to do. OF you want to see the old Fort and explore old San Juan the city is ok. If you are more in to beach on water stuff St Thomas is much better in my opinion.
  15. Thanks I know it is usually open but on our Symphony cruise in late 2021 it was not.
  16. I actually said this wrong. My daughter & her new husband are in room 1, My wife and Grand daughter of the daughter in room 1 are in room 2, Right next door, My daughter has taken the name of her new husband so her last name is different than her daughter.
  17. Is Johnny Rockets open for breakfast on the Harmony?
  18. We have a cruise in 3 weeks. My daughter and her husband in 1 room, my wife and granddaughter age 5 in 1 room and I am in a 3rd room. My wife is divorced and jus remarried. We are checking in together. She is bringing granddaughters Birth Certificate but she has a new married name. What else does she need?
  19. Looks like the timing of the Hurricane should not cause to many disruptions in cruises unless there is damage. Most ships sail out Friday thru Monday and the Hurricane should be long gone by then. The exception will probably be the Serenade if it expected in Tampa Thursday I would think it far out away from the Hurricane now and would be delayed.
  20. Lots of cruises stop in San Juan and usually in the winter both Royal and Celebrity run cruises out of San Juan. This winter Royal is sailing the Jewell out of San Juan.
  21. Insuremytrip.com will give you many prices and choices.
  22. I want to board early. I was very surprised when I checked I. On the 17th the first day for our Oct 1 Harmony cruise rather I could get no Tim earlier than 12:30. Do they open up earlier times over as the cruise gets closer so the first to check in don’t take them all?
  23. I think Jason has done what the board of directors at Royal wanted but making changes to create more profit and recover the loses from the Covid period. That said at some point enough is enough and they to work to improve the cruise experience and keep travelers coming back. The pizza trial ballon to me was to see what passengers thought and clearly they spoke loud and clear.
  24. The MTD has been an issue with lines for a while. It was Celebrity and not Royal but last year we were on the Connie. Their solution was you checked in a the hostess stand and instead of waiting in line for 30 min they gave you a pager so you could hams out in the nearby bars or seating areas. It was a fantastic idea in my opinion. We went to the Martini bar every night waiting for our seating to be ready.
