  1. We always walk off. When it comes to leaving the room it depends on our flight. They will allow you line usually before 7 am but you have flexibility. You are not tied to a luggage group. You just leave the ship when you are ready up until about 9:30 That said they will tell you they want you out of the cabin and I to public areas by around 8:30 but several times including our last cruise we had a late flight. We told the cabin attendant we were going to breakfast and we were going to leave the bags in the room a little longer. They had no issue.
  2. When it went down to $33 a share last year for no reason I bought another 100 shares. Kick myself every day for not buying more. At any rate I am very happy that my 210 shares are doing well and I have have used the credit benefit several times.
  3. Should be no issue. We made a 11:15 out of MCO once. I would suggest you walk off the ship early as possible and take a shuttle or cab to give yourself plenty of pad. Remember TSA in Orlando is very long. I figure 1 hour for the drive to so if you walk off by 8 that puts you at airport by 9 or so. Should be plenty of time.
  4. I read that the Icon was going to do sea trials in mid June. I know that after that even if there is no issues there is still a lot of work to co finish out the ship but unless problems develop could the ship be ready sooner? I know that built in extra pad to allow for any unknown issues with the new design. Just seems like sea trials are usually not 7 months out from the first cruise.
  5. I have only been there once but at that time there was a water shuttle that took you from the boatyard dock to the downtown area and the island has a fantastic bus system that runs all over the island. We rode the water shuttle to town and the bus to the beach and then back to the boatyard
  6. Sometimes how bad it is depends on which side of the island you are on. Last year on St Kitts at the Marriott side it was a foot deep and the beach was no useable. They were using commercial track hoes to clean it. The other side of the island was not bad. At Saphire on St Thomas it was there but they cleaned it with rakes.
  7. We sailed on the Beyond in March. Sunset Balcony level 9. No banging at all. I understand your noise concern and you would think Celebrity would be working to address it. The Beyond is a summer ship in my opinion. You have had over 150,000 cruise on it and while there is more complaints on this board than normal it sure does not seem to stop people from cruising on it.
  8. We were in a sunset balcony about 4 weeks ago including one rough night and hear no major unusual noises.
  9. I think they were pretty good in March. The thing is they are a different concept that uses a lot of high tech wrap around video screens. I know on our cruise they were mostly full without a lot of people leaving early.
  10. I am a regular early flight person but I have never tried earlier than 10am. The issue you have no control over is when the ship clears and they let you off. 7:50 is on the late side. I have been off ships in Miami before 7:30 and on the way to FLL by shuttle twice last year before 7:45am. Be got to FLL by 8:30 both times for a flight around 10:15. My rule of thumb is you need to allow at least 90 min minimum at the airport longer in Orlando. Remember these days the plane start boards about 40 min before the flight and usually close the gate we’ll before the flight time.
  11. I have used it twice in the last 6 months. Easy to apply for and they acknowledged it within a few days but it took about 2 weeks for the credit to show on the cruise.
  12. Look. On the good deck plans. You can tell where the bed is by where the notch is. The notch is where the beds go and every other cabin has the notch next to the veranda and the others close to the closet. Go together like a puzzle.
  13. The Marriott was really nice and the pool is great but last April the Seaweed made the beach unusable. With the seaweed issues worse this year keep that in mind.
  14. Last year we wanted to go to Valley Church and they put us in a cab to Darkwood. It was nice so we stayed. I have friends who went to Valley Church this week. It looked similar to Darkwood. No seaweed either.
  15. Interesting thread. The fact that children share status while minors makes sense just like a spouse sharing a cabin get the higher ones status. It seems fair to me that if a parent is a Diamond when the children turn 18 and go out of their own they revert to cruises taken. I am 2 cruises away from Diamond and I sure don’t think it would be fair for a. Person turning 18 with 2+3 cruises to be grandfathered to Diamond because their parents are.
  16. As posted you need to call to order the Wi-Fi with the discount for Catins club and multiple devices. On our Beyond cruise 3 weeks ago I got 3 devices with my 25% discount for about $155. Pretty good deal.
  17. Always better to use a TA so they can make sure things like this don’t happen. Keep trying but they are still running some promos. Maybe you should consider a different cabin. Brumuda is just like staying in a hotel for 3 of the days. What about getting an outside window cabin.
  18. I just looked at some pictures of the ship and cabin Cat map. The deck 6 Obstructed view cabins are really just the lifeboat top below your balcony. That said the life boats on the back half of the ship are not quite as high and if you go far enough back in the same Cat you will be past the life boats. I don’t see it as a big deal. The boats don’t appear to block much of your view. f
  19. Now that you know your cabin you can look through and find a cabin you like better in the same Cat. You also will have the chance to bid on move up or just tell your TA you want to pay more to move.
  20. Just a follow up. While in St Thomas last week we decided to try Water Island. It was a busy day with both the Oasis and Beyond at Crown Bay. The Ferry was a bit late but we made it ok. We took the shuttle to Dinghy’s. The beach was ok but nothing special. Chairs were $10. The bar and food were ok. I had read you could snorkel and see some turtles. That might be true because not long after we arrived Cat Excursion arrived and had about 40 in the water. After they left i snorkeled the same area. Saw a few fish and sone grass. Maybe they scared the turtles off but it was not a good snorkel spot to me. the beach was crowded for a smaller place and the thing is if on a cruise you need to get back. Our all aboard was 4pm. The shuttle runs once per hour and is not large. Because of this we took the shuttle back about 12:50 for the 1:30 run back. We were about # 20 in line. By the time the shuttle arrived late again there was about 40 in line. They brought a larger boat but still left about 10 for the next run. They told the 10 they would return for an extra run. just my opinion but I won’t be going back. It is not the beach or bar but because dealing with the shuttle is not worth the wasted time waiting at the dock to be picked up going and coming back. Much easier to take a cab to Meagan’s, Sapphire or Coki and come and go as you please with no stress over the shuttle.
  21. Spring brings more seaweed to Orient Beach. We decided to try Divi Beach last week. It was nice with no seaweed and closer as a bonus.
  22. Going on the Beyond next week and trying to decide about the non alcohol package that includes sift drinks, bottled water and premium coffee. what do they charge for premium coffee like the Americana amd sift drinks?
  23. Our Beyond cruise next Sun is mostly full.
  24. I just did this. About 9 days ago i went on line and followed the instructions and converted points to cabin credit. Today it was still not posted so i called them and after 30 minutes on the phone i am told it has been posted now. They said there was an issue because I was in a group booking by my TA. I will say my wife has a RCCL Card and when we did hers last year it posted in less than a week, I would do it as far in advance as possible and them make sure they post.
  25. Question for Jason What are the plans to continue the Revolutionize process on the Last 2 M class and remaining S class ships started before Covid?
