  1. We are booking the Harmony for fall It our plan is to book 2 Balcony cabin's side by side and have by Grand daughter (4) and wife in 1 cabin and my daughter and Hubby in the cabin next to it. I get a single cabin and will take the double points because we are close to Diamond. Question is do the sofa's in the standard cabins make a bed in case she wants to stay some with her mom?
  2. They need to bring the classics back. Maybe not the steak since there is some kind of steak option most nights.
  3. Not thrilled about the new menus. I believe they should have kept the classic options for all night or at least the Salmon and chicken. There is several nights nothing appeals to me and other nights I like several things.
  4. Just my opinion but Royal has had both RCCL and Celebrity make big dinning changes for 2023. We know prices have gone up but I would rather them raise the prices a bit than cut back on the quality of dinning.
  5. Does anybody know if we can use this Card offer booking on the ship?
  6. Which night on the eastern cruise was Evening Chic night with the lobster ? Do they serve that in all 4 dining rooms?
  7. Yes th ex got rid of the simple Soda package and replaced it with the Zero Alcho. At a pretty expensive price. I don’t like it at all. The Soda deal is good but not worth $25 plus unless you drink the expensive coffee or energy drinks.
  8. If the costs of food goes up they need to raise the price of the cruise not cut the quantity of the food people expect when booking.
  9. I purchased 200 shares when it was at $33 mid summer. Wish I had purchased more.
  10. Celebrity is just pricing things to high. Really a turn off to me and I like Celebrity Wish I had booked the all inclusive now. The zero proof only deal at $30 per day includes to much stuff. Royal offers soft drinks for under $12 per day usually under $10 in advance. Why would anyone spend $30 a day so kids can have soft drinks?
  11. Both of those numbers are crazy. You don’t need to upgrade.just pay the difference on a drink by drink basis.
  12. We had to get from Vancouver to Seattle after a cruise in June. Our first choice was Amtrak but they were not running yet. Should be this year or that was the plan I heard. We took a bus from Vancouver to Seattle after our cruise in May. We decided on Bus. Amtrack runs a bus from the rail station to the Seattle rail station but we decided on Quick Coach. It picks up right at the cruise port and offers stops at the cruise port, downtown convention center that we used and SeaTac Airport. Not a bad trip. Took about 3 1/2 hours but 45 min was the delay at the U.S. customs station because 3 buses arrived together. It was not expensive. They have a website. I am a bigger guy so I just bought 2 seats.
  13. On my last cruise in November the fine cut steakhouse showed booked up for months before the cruise. When we boarded i went and asked if they had any openings. They had many openings each night. Just go early when you board. They will be pushing the dinner packages. I think they keep many open because they are pushing the multi night deals.
  14. Looking over the pre cruise offers. Looks like they have raised the price a lot on the non alcohol package that includes premium water and coffee. Do they no longer offer a soft drink only package?
  15. Seems like these days the OBC is all that is different but sometimes it is a lot. We booked 3 rooms in early Nov on the Beyond on a sale with decent OBC. When they ran the Black Friday sale the OBC was $200 more so our TA got that added.
  16. I always take a picture of the port agent info for each stop just in case something were to happen. I also take a cell phone charger.
  17. It might depend on when you are traveling. Right now you can get a 1 way car rental for $150 or less with tax. They are in the testing phase of the new Bright Lines High speed train from Miami to Orlando Int, It is expected to up and running by spring.
  18. Hope you can get it moved. I just wanted to say that as we all know the cruise lines dictate the prices and they change up and down all the time. I used to use a travel agent that gave great perks and decent service until she just became to difficult to deal with. I now use a travel agent that give us not as many perks but finds group space when possible but the big thing is she gives fantastic customer service. To me the trade off is worth it.
  19. We sailed on the Connie in Nov. There was no reservations available pre cruise but once on board they had spots to book. Just book when you get on board.
  20. Royal should be happy. You just freed up two cabins for them and filled two on a ship that had space.
  21. Embassy Suites on Westshore near the airport is pretty nice and less than Downtown. Great Happy Hour and breakfast. They took us to a restaurant in their van and picked us back up. It was a $15 Uber to the port. About 20 min.
  22. 30 min drive between FLL and port of Miami. No big deals. I have done it my last two cruises. I use SAS from port of Miami back to FLL. $15 pp. lots of options.
  23. I looked at it. You are near the center elevators which is a good place to be. Use this elevator to get most anywhere including off the ship and the Ocean view cafe or Mast Grill is only 1 flight of stairs up or down. Yes you bar under the pool deck which is not the best but it looks like you are under a table area not a lounge chair area and in Alaska the pool area does not get as much use. It might not be to bad. Not a lot going on up their in sleeping hours.
