  1. You can always pay the extra per drink but this week you can upgrade to premium pretty cheap.
  2. You can use as many devices as you want with 1 device plan as long as you don’t need to use 2 at the same time. For most cruises my wife and I share 1 device plan unless it is included with fare between 2 phones, ipad and sometimes a lap top. All you need to No is long off one device and log on with another. For our next cruise on we do have free basic so I upgraded 1 device.
  3. It is still possible to get tips included. You need to find a travel agency that has group space they ordered before Oct 4. Most of the bigger agencies or even smaller ones will have space well into next year. You should be able to use your future credit with them but if you’re assigned it to Celebrity direct you might have to get it switched.
  4. A billion dollars sounds like a lot but when you firgure in the hundreds of millions lost the last 3 years not so much. At any rate let’s hope they get their financial house in order and restart the Amp program to renovate ships that need it badly. They also need to design and start building replacements for the Radiance class ships they need for some ports.
  5. Like Biker said they log in and pay for theirs and you log in a pay for yours. The other option is one of you pays for 4 and the other pays you back.
  6. We sailed on the Harmony last month. In general the menu was ok but I see nights when they needed more choices. It would not be difficult or that expensive if Royal followed the lead of celebrity and brought back the classic options of Salmon, grilled chicken and the Strip Steak on nights it is not on the menu.
  7. Back in Feb we arrived 60 min early and walked right on the ship. They use the times to space arrivals but boarding goes so fast now unless they are backed up I don’t think they check times. I always go early.
  8. I would do the new ship. Adventure Ocean is nice on the Oasis class and will give you free time as needed.
  9. Royal gives out the times and sends you messages to stick with your boarding times. That said usually it seems like it is not enforced unless there is long lines and they are behind. I have not been out of Port C since Covid but I can tell you we cruised out of Miami a few weeks ago on the Harmony. We had a 12:30 boarding time. Our flight arrived at 9:30. We got to the port about 1030. We could have gotten on by 11 if we had not had to wait for my daughter coming from her hotel. Boarding was really fast and there was no real line. We were on about 11:45.
  10. I am enjoying this thread. We have been on 21 cruises on 4 lines. The majority on Royal and Celebrity. We have been on the Oasis, Symphony and just last week the Harmony. I love the Oasis class ships but my wife really dislikes them because they are so big and really like the Celebrity ships better. Our next cruise is in Feb on the Odyssey to Aruba. Never been on that class because it is not offered a lot out of Florida. Looking forward to see how we like it.
  11. Princess is really nice and the food is pretty good but has different things than Royal. I will suggest you think about what you want like to do and compare and decide if it is worth the extra.
  12. We have made 10:15 flights easy out of FLL from Miami. I think you can do if you walk off early as possible. I would suggest checking out the Brightline train to get to West Palm. Uber would be good but expensive.
  13. Balcony is large and clearly from photos posted you can see the ocean. We had an aft on another ship in Feb. great cabin.
  14. Tough spot for the OP to be in. Clearly you should have taken out travel insurance by the time final payment was made for such a long trip. That said the OP said they usually take out the insurance just before the trip. I guess for most things this works but not this. Maybe you take the travel insurance now and if your flight does not fly it would provide coverage? If the fight is already canceled maybe not. I would follow some suggestions in this thread. check with your CC company. They may have built in coverage. Pretty sure Visa or MC does. Email the president or VP at Royal with your issue. Maybe they will work out a future credit or refund. I am sure someone on here can give you email address. Finally remember getting to the port is a customer issue unless you booked flights with cruise line. Since the cruise is still on they usually follow their policy.
  15. I would say do the Radiance trip so you can land tour inland before or after the cruise plus you hit more ports. That was our plan but we took the Brilliance trip on the Serenade last June when asked to go with my brother and sister. . It was a great trip but down we want to go back to do the one way trip.
  16. I Like Coco but it has some issues. Not enough lounge chairs for the massive crowds. To me the biggest issue is the way they have made the beaches with soft sand creates cloudy water. Really not a very good beach. The water around the island it clear but that soft sand just stirs up stuff.
  17. Does not seem like that big of a deal to me.
  18. We just got off the Harmony. I thought the Wi-Fi pretty good most places but it depends on time of day and where you were on the ship. Saturday night I wanted to stream the ND Louisville football game. The first half in the dinning room on my phone it would not stream but the game tracker worked. In the second half the stream worked great in my cabin and I watched the whole second half. The other thing is the Wi-Fi is much weaker on the balcony. I will assume because the sending units are in the hallway.
  19. We were on this cruise. I enjoyed the Harmony. After reading on the dining room menu complaints I can say it was petty good. Maybe not 10 years ago but our family of 5 found things we liked every night. On Lobster night I ordered the Filet to go with it. It was very good. Grease was a pretty good show. We did not see Columbus because it was canceled over a prop issue. Overall the staff was very good in my opinion. On thing I like about the Oasis class is eating breakfast and lunch in places other than the Windjammer. We enjoyed the Park Cafe for breakfast and lunch several times. The Solarium Bistro was good and we also like Johnny Rockets for Breakfast. Biggest complaint was JR has limited hours for Breakfast and the manager kep closing early so we missed a few times.
  20. I have 200 shares all purchased under$36. Kicking myself for not selling 100 when it was over $110.
  21. I think the process of how Air tags work with other iPhones and cell towers does not do well on the ship. That said when returning from our cruise my daughter had a missing car seats and a bunch of people were missing bags on our non stop flight home. Someone had an air tag showing their missing luggage was at the airport. Long story short there was a whole cart from our plane that had not be unloaded.
  22. I plan on eating Breakfast at Johnny Rockets several days next week. I like the Park Cafe as well. Hoping we still go to St Thomas and St M. Looks like the tropical storms w should be well North by Wed but a Tuesday might be iffy.
  23. I guess Hurricane season you have to deal with it. We are leaving tomorrow on the Harmony for St Martaan and St Thomas. The Tropical storm should clear by Wed our first port day but travel on Tuesday might be an issue. I hoping we don’t go to Cozumel but it might be 50/50.
  24. I read the comments from the Celebrity Exec. My impression was she was talking more like combining benefits. The Diamond level 4 drinks would be great on Celebrity instead of happy hour they offer to their equal today. As much as I wish both cruise like shared and awarded points like Royal since I have 6 cruises on Celebrity my fear is they might make Diamond harder on Royal now that I expect to earn it in 2024.
  25. Sorry you missed your ports but are making the best of it. It does look like unused cabin credit can be rolled to a future cruise.
