  1. As a solo traveler, it used to be 2 bottles per cabin, so we could bring 2. Now that rules have changed, solo’s can only bring 1.
  2. It’s not there permanently like Spectrum, so probably not. After it goes over end of 2024, it will come back in Spring of 2025, for the Alaska season.
  3. If you buy the package, drink purchases are up to $14. Most liquors fall under that price. What level are you on Celebrity? If Elite or above, you will get Diamond status on Royal, and receive 4 drink vouchers, per person, to use at any bar, anytime of the day.
  4. This isn’t specific to Royal, but you do have a little UK spot on Cruise Critic https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/544-uk-cruisers/
  5. Can’t do a repo because of PVSA. It can do a round trip to Hawaii from LA, with a stop in Ensenada.
  6. Ovation is not doing the 2025 Alaska season. I’m patiently waiting for the Anthem TP in the Spring of 2025. It is doing Alaska in 2025. I see Ovation does have a TP scheduled from Honolulu to Vancouver, but rumor has it, that it may go to LA…still rumor though.
  7. My daughter and granddaughter are sailing the Navigator on Thanksgiving week. When I’m logged into both website and app, it does pull up her sailing, which may be because I have used her login to check things before. When I login as myself, I see lower discounted rates on Refreshment and Soda packages than she sees when she logs in. She’s Plat and I am D+, so I’m wondering if there is also a bigger discount for C&A status…it’s very strange. Mine shows for Refreshment, $17.99 and she shows $22.99…Soda- mine $6.99, hers $8.99
  8. This is what I did in May….the shuttle was easy and convenient, and I could take my time walking the trail. I would definitely go this way. BTW, I am a solo traveler and in my early 70’s. I would do this again in a heartbeat.
  9. The best thing to do is to check tags on the plugs for all devices you want to plug in. Most electronics, you only need an adapter, as electronics are dual voltage. If there are no tags and you’re not sure for things like clocks, fans, etc., you will need a converter and then plug your adapter into that. PS…I just checked my ResMed CPAP and it is dual voltage. I have only used an adapter plug in other international city hotel rooms. But it’s always a good idea to check everything. Other people may have had different outcomes, but these have been mine. I have never used a converter on the ship, but I only use the Euro outlet for things I know are dual voltage.
  10. TMobile is the best for traveling. When I get my text from them in foreign countries for free data and texts, I always go off airplane mode, and I have never had an overage bill. There has only been one place I have been with no coverage, Noumea, and I was told that in the text. I know calls are .25 a minute, but I’ve never made calls. Usually putting in airplane mode automatically shuts off Cellular Data, but maybe it didn’t on yours. I always double check mine. Something does seem very off.
  11. Or better yet, just put your husband’s name on both legs and he can be the no show.
  12. If you are a party of 2, odds are probably in your favor to go early and be seated. Of course you won’t really know until you try. I know of 2 personal situations that this happened with, and no reservations were made.
  13. I sailed from Cape Liberty for the first time on the Jewel to Greenland. I even commented to them how organized I thought it was. Once you checked in, you then sat in long rows. When boarding started, row 1 went, followed by row 2, etc.
  14. I would be more concerned about noise from Deck 4…I was on the Jewel in Sept., and deck 4 is a pretty busy floor with Centrum, Dining Room and Theater. Medical is also down on 2. I’m thinking this is the space for tendering….I seem to remember going down to deck 2 to get on and off the tenders.
  15. I’m on the cruise too. I know it was pretty full, since bookings have been open for awhile. It may be sold out. Keep checking. Edit….I just checked and the sailing is coming up for me just fine. Don’t see many cabins available, but it’s there.
  16. Do you mean vouchers? Why wouldn’t you? As D+, you get 5 vouchers per day, regardless the length of cruise.
  17. Not necessarily…I’m sure this varies by ship, but recently word has gotten out that if you show up at 6ish, and there are open tables from no show Traditional, they will seat MTD. Recently on the Jewel, this was the case with my friends.
  18. Plus, the time you sit down and the time you get your first course, could vary greatly…LOL
  19. It is not mandatory to make reservations for MTD. My daughter had MTD on the Wonder and never made reservations. Her and my Granddaughter never waited more than 10 mins. to be seated. She said larger parties, with no res waited longer, but so did those with reservations.
  20. I cruise in an interior cabin (solo), and sometimes I have snacks in the Diamond/Crown Club for dinner…Oh and other nights I eat in the Jammer. 🤪🤪
  21. I’m going on my first Celebrity cruise next year, and although I go over as Elite, the Lounge scenario doesn’t really mean much to me. I rarely use Diamond/Crown Club during those hours. I guess for those that like to socialize during happy hour times, it will be a nice addition. I travel solo, so I usually like to go to a fave bar. Since Celebrity has limited happy hour times, I will still find a fave bar (Celebrity Edge)
  22. That’s without a parent…the child’s mother is also going.
