  1. I think your reaction is typical of passengers who have sailed on other lines. I wouldn't eat dinner in the buffets on any other line but I often eat dinner at the Terrace Buffet rather than the GDR. I will be on my 20th O cruise next month.
  2. I looked at a site that shows the sale price. For example a B2 BCN to MIA is USD $5199pp and if you break the 2 cruises up it is 2699and 2239 for a total of $4938. That's a $161 savings. Whether you would get a 5% discount for booking 2 back to back cuises, I don't know. The categories have to be available and right now they are.
  3. I loved the Privee bookings - I'm beginning to miss Marina and Riviera already.
  4. What cruise date was your Privee for?
  5. I got the same email for my May 28th Privee booking but I wasn't even a valued guest🤥 Mine was addressed "Dear Value Guest,
  6. No, I've never questioned the fairytale pricing on the invoice. I look for the total price to verify it is what I expected. Having said that you made me look a little closer. It is still a fairytale but the numbers did work out. If you add the first 2 numbers(which they must pull from somewhere I can't mention🤥) and then subtract the rest, you end up with the price I could see when I went to pricing on the O website. Cruise Fare 19,298.00 CAD Single Supplement 7,624.00 Savings Early Booking (9,649.00) Bonus Discount (1,650.00) Onboard Booking Savings (375.00) Air Allowance (1,050.00) Cruise Fare Total 14,198.00
  7. Their invoices are a fancy modern miracle. I have a booking for me - only me and I am paying double the pp rate but invoice has a supposed SS discount. Cruise Fare 19,298.00 CAD Single Supplement 7,624.00 Savings Early Booking (9,649.00) Bonus Discount (1,650.00) None of it makes sense so the only thing I go by is am I paying what I can see on the O site pp fare. If I upgrade, is the difference between the category I had originally and the one I upgraded to the same difference pp that I see on the O site
  8. We were in 8044 last summer on Insignia. Never heard any noise and very close to elevator. Great room.
  9. No. I just walked off the ship. I used Smith Transport. Unfortunately, they have closed down.
  10. In 2018, I had the driver waiting at the exit as I got off at 7:30am- I did self disembarkation because I had a Noon flt out of Heathrow.
  11. I bet you will see a bunch of these on future trips. I printed your template and I think we are on the same cruise next Nov from Rome.😀
  12. I have been watching too much Escape to the Country and thought they were in Devon when they talked about having Cromer Crab. Thanks for the education. Dungeness Crab are found off the west coast of British Columbia.
  13. One more thing. I have read about Cromer Crab and it looks very much like our Dungeness Crab. Any place in Dartmouth that we could find some on our Round Robin trip
  14. Thank you all. Wonderful information and great humour as well.
  15. We anchor in Torbay on a Saturday Sep 2nd at 7am and leave at 5pm. I am trying to figure out how to book the Round Robin Tour and I am not sure what my starting point should be Cruise from Dartmouth to Totnes , bus to Paignton, train to Kingswear and ferry back to Dartmouth or the reverse. Anyone able to point me in the right direction?
  16. I'm on the May 20th Vista. I booked Privee by calling my travel agent to contact them for a date. Previously I have been able to book Privee online.
  17. I'm not sure how Lyn knows you are on Vista but if you are, it's unclear whether the usual La Reserve dinners other than the Dom Perignon one, will be offered. 18. Looking forward to your posts. Bon Voyage
  19. @Pearl64 I am getting on Oceania Vista the day you get off. I am arriving day of cruise which I don't normally do but with 4 non stop flights from Toronto, I think I will be okay. Who di you book your transfer with- maybe they will pick me up when they drop you off- I'm arriving at 10am. About your departure time, in 2018 I got off Oceania at 7:30am and took a Smiths private car to Heathrow for a 12Noon flight and had no problems.
  20. Thank you, Jim, for your kind response. What you said makes sense. I wasn't aware of the $100pp fee to change as well as cancel. What confused me was why would someone pay an extra $832 to save $200 cash. P.S. I love your Live From reports
  21. Thank you for your answer. It seems that whoever is making the claim about the getting a lower price for the cruise failed their Math at school.
  22. When they say the deposit is non refundable, do they really mean just the deposit? I was looking at a cruise where the deposit is $250 pp but to have a refundable deposit, I would have to add $832 to the total cost of trip. Something doesn't sound right.
  23. Thank you so much for posting live from Riviera. As someone posted, the pics are "envy inducing"😀
  24. Maybe 1447 if every cabin that had a sofa bed was occupied?
