Ironic ... from Cuba these people are fleeing .. this country that so many Americans had this deep need to visit on cruises so recently ... this "fascinating, mystical land of spice and sassiness and intrigue" .. Americans so desperate to discover this country ... and yet .. the people who live there are still so oppressed and miserable ... enough to try floating to Florida on inner tubes and plywood. Funny how so many people can turn their heads away from things like this .. when it comes down to saying you've "been" to Cuba and got the t-shirt.
