I do the same as above. (Or call your TA or PCC and read them off) Agree keep a list with the pins. I have some money left over on my last card and will apply it to my account at guest services once onboard

NEWS FLASH: HAL to favor Triples and Quads
mawvkysc replied to crystalspin's topic in Holland America Line
And as their current passengers “die off” some of us are coming into that time of our lives where HAL is a good fit. I’m a GenXer and so looking forward to my first HAL this spring. -
The deck 10 verandahs on Vista Class are the same idea although not marketed as spa verandahs (I think) There are quite a few still available for my May sailing. I’m toying with calling the upsell department closer to the sail date. I like the location but really would like the footrests. A deciding factor might be how windy it is on the balconies in that location. It’s a TA. Anyone with experience?

Oh. Too bad. I love their YouTube videos

I’ve never seen Step One so I am looking forward to it if it’s on my cruise. I can totally see how it would get tiring if the routines haven’t changed in years though. I would love to see Post Modern Jukebox! Maybe that will come back sometime. I can hope.

Thanks. This is good to hear as on the ship tours that I’ve watched there seems to be a plethora of tables and chairs near the covered pool and less loungers. Other Vista class ship tours don’t look to have that many tables.

I’m interested too! I’ll be on the spring TA. How is the MDR temperature? I’m trying to plan my packing. I’m cold natured.

NEWS FLASH: HAL to favor Triples and Quads
mawvkysc replied to crystalspin's topic in Holland America Line
@crystalspin @FlaMariner I think my mistake was that I was looking at a closer in cruise. (May 11) on the We Choose option it actually had a room assignment. But then when you click on you choose the only choices at that same price are that cabin and a few close by it. To get other locations there is an up charge. I guess a further out cruise it would just say We Choose and not have an assignment which would be a guarantee. I find non HAL booking sites much more user friendly. -

“We pick” is different than a guarantee cabin. -

@retird download a pdf version of the deckplans or go to a non HAL booking site. I find they are much easier to navigate and have all of the symbols. -
NEWS FLASH: HAL to favor Triples and Quads

Maybe someone with a quad reservation (but only 2 in the cabin) can do a mock booking for four people and see if their cabin shows up on the offerings? -

But what is the chance someone would want three people in a cabin for 35 days? It’s pretty low so you’re probably safe. It is much more probable to happen on a shorter Caribbean or Alaska cruise. -
Formal nights dress code - does HAL enforce?
mawvkysc replied to goforyourdreams's topic in Holland America Line
Just so I’m understanding your wording? You saw the T-shirts and shorts on dressy night in the MDR or just around the ship? -
Choose your favorite current HAL ship!!!

Looks like Vista class isn’t feeling the love as much on this poll. I’m looking forward to sailing Zuiderdam for my first HAL nonetheless! -
No more embarkation day lunch in the MDR fleetwide!
mawvkysc replied to Real NHDOC's topic in Holland America Line
For reference I am zero star and got a response back within 48 hours, but I wrote pretty soon after this thread started. No response yet to my husband’s email which was sent about two days ago. -
Maybe try Queen’s Grill on Cunard.

I sent mine to that first email you mentioned yesterday. No reply back at this point. -
Has drink price limit for HIA been increased yet?

Seems like if they just added back Pina colada’s and lemon drops the majority of those disappointed would be placated. -

I was so looking forward to this. I really enjoyed that option on my last cruise which was NCL. To me this is something that fits with HALs whole vibe of relaxed cruising. -
I booked myself on HAL website and transferred recently, but there was a reason. It was Black Friday weekend and I saw a specific cabin I wanted. I booked it to grab it and then had time that week to find a TA I liked with a good offer.

So around the 12 minute mark this video shows specialty coffees and pastries at the Pinnacle Bar from 7-9 am Is this a new thing? I’ve never heard mention of this?
