  1. The Vista Class is nice, sailed on the Horizon for 8 day sailings in 2018 and 2019. Pick a Havana cabin if possible. The Excel Class really takes it up a notch though. Carnival raised the bar with the MG. Looking forward to the slight changes on the Celebration.
  2. It's all a friggin joke. I have 3 upcoming cruises that stop at Coco Cay. June 22 on Oasis. The Beach Club is sold out at 249 based on a price of 249. UBP is 78 based on a 20% discount off of 98. Nov 22 on Freedom. Beach Club is 161 based on a price of 179 with 10% discount. UBP is 84 based on a price of 105 with 20% discount. Apr 23 on Anthem. Beach Club is 249 based on a price of 249 with no discount. UBP is 72 based on a price of 90 with a 20% discount. There is no constant except for the discount percentages. The UBP on the 3 day sailing is of course higher, but the price is cheaper on the 7 day next April versus the 7 day next month. It is all a joke and with these prices, they can put it where the sun don't shine. I had the Club at 65 and the UBP at 57, reasonable prices. These overpriced options will not see an extra dime from me.
  3. It's been far more than a month. I had the Beach Club reserved on our August 2021 oasis cruise for a reasonable 65 pp. RCI cancelled our cruise and started the Oasis back the following week in September. In the meantime, the cheapest I have seen the Club for our sailing next month is 150.00.
  4. Once again, the ball is dropped by Carnival. They had it in place for years on the three Vista Class ships after it was tested back in 2019 on the Horizon. They knew about the may 1 price increase and all they had to do was adjust the price accordingly. The 68.00 package was 60 and the 45.00 package was 38.00. A simple price adjustment is all that was needed. In the meantime, those cruisers sailing on the Vista Class ships during the month of May and into June are deprived of the savings.
  5. Probably. The majority of the offers being boasted about are casino deals, which are a totally different animal. I want to hear about regular deals given to people from coast to coast. They are not to be found though. The deals are either casino driven or specifically pinpointed to a certain demographic, like west coasters that get deals on the Panorama or the radiance or to Alaska. Still would love to know how the algorithm chose who got the RU 1-2-3 codes for reduced priced Cheers.
  6. Casino gambling deal. Totally different animal.
  7. It was a glitch that lasted for 12 hours or so late Saturday into Sunday. It was a promo code that gave 20% off spa excursions for cruises through late November. Because of an IT glitch, it also worked for many people for all other pre cruise purchases at the same 20% off for Cheers, cruise cash, excursions, specialty dining, etc. Some saved a little, many saved hundreds. I saved just under 350.
  8. Who do you have pictures of at Carnival to get a rate of 260 for a bowling alley balcony, for a solo, as well? Should be well over 3K.
  9. Jack squat. Have cruised Carnival 20 times, have 7 more booked into 2024. Never get the deals that are geography controlled like the west coast deals on the Panorama or Radiance or even ones that are promotional centered like the RU 1-2-3 codes for Cheers. And don't get me started on the give aways to the gamblers.
  10. It can only be purchased on the ship. There is a second package of 3/15.00 vouchers for Cucina, Jiji's or 15 to spend at sushi or pig & anchor. The package was 38.00. Do not know what the new price is and even if it's available with the price increase on May 1.
  11. Then you're good to go. With you and your DH having the priority, that makes each cabin having priority, so you're kids are OK.
  12. If you have kids in their 30's then the Rock Revolution songs should have been in your wheelhouse since they were late 60's early 70's.
  13. It's entirely up to the infamous dynamic pricing as to what they will charge. I had the Beach Club reserved last August for a reasonable 65 pp. RCI cancelled our cruise and started the Oasis ther following week in September. The cheapest I have seen it for our new sailing next month is around 150 pp. I will let those with full shallow pockets pay for it.
  14. There will be a pinnacle club built that will serve melted brie sandwiches on 7 grain baguettes which can be washed down with included Chardonnay. The only stipulation is that you consume the items with your pinky in the air. 😂
  15. RCI's dynamic pricing policy back in force. My August 2021 Oasis cruise was 65 pp until they cancelled. June 2022 Oasis cruise hasn't been under 150 pp yet. But, as long as the lemmings buy, RCI happily makes the profits.
  16. No need to spend all day drinking, which is basically impossible with Cheers since you're capped at 15 drinks. Just need to consume 6 drinks to make it worthwhile. Plus you get all of the non alcoholic options as a bonus.
  17. It was nice while it lasted. Saved just under 350. Saw a cruise YouTuber mention it on one of his vlogs on Sunday.
  18. Try trinity reservations.com No sales tax on your booking
  19. Only if the booking has one platinum and one gold officially in a cabin together. If the kids are together, a sympathetic employee may let it slip.
  20. Stayed in 9359, a comparable cabin on deck 9 for 14 days in February. There is plenty of room and it's easier if the beds are split, giving you more turnaround space with the extra space in the middle that you don't have if it's set up as a king with half the space on either side of the beds. The bathroom is fantastic. We like that room so much we are in it again for a B2B over Labor Day and again for 2 separate B2B's on the Celebration in 2023 and 2024.
  21. You and hubby can go in the platinum line if there is one. Kids are still gold, no free upgrade. You can get their Big Chicken sandwiches for them for lunch.
  22. I assume it's the OV8 code, which gave you 200 in OBC? Also, if you have cruise cash to burn, just go to Cherry on Top and buy a gift card.
