  1. I worked at a major upscale department store for 11 years. There were always customers who have waited in line to check out, waited for me to ring up purchase, waited for me to bag purchase and waited for me to give them the total for them to start looking for the right credit card. They always have dozens of cards in their wallet and they can never find the one they are looking for. Don't get me started on coupons. But I digress.
  2. OMG, I didn't even think about this. Now I don't feel so bad handing over my printed boarding pass.
  3. I can't tell you how many times I've waited in line for the customer in front of me search their phone for the right app, or can't get service or can't find what they are looking for. I think most people who have printed their boarding pass have it handy. Like when boarding a plane, ticket in hand.
  4. It is not Carnival's fault (or any other cruise line) when the weather prohibits docking or tendering. I appreciate the captain erring on the side of safety. There are plenty of things to do on the ship. It's another sea day. I understand disappointment, but like the bumper sticker says - stuff happens.
  5. My son and DIL are doing our own bar crawl. I'm not a big drinker so I doubt I'll make it past 2 or 3. I would like to hit each bar on the ship during the cruise. That will be a challenge for me.
  6. I really like the idea of a coffee station on every cabin deck.
  7. We used our Carnival Mastercard expecting double points because we were purchasing Carnival gift cards. Looking at my account, we did get double points. WTH??
  8. Speaking of afternoon tea, is it OK to bring your own tea bag?
  9. Love the Magic and the ports are much better. I will not cruise to Ocho Rios again. I also believe there is a travel advisory for parts of Jamaica.
  10. It's our go to place on Cozumel. Very laid back, not crowded. We tried Sanchos once and it wasn't for us. We're talking about trying Paradise next.
  11. Another great review! BTW, I'm a Georgia girl and I have never heard of Kingsland. It must be off 95.
  12. Good review, looking forward to the rest. Have you tried Nachi Cocum?
  13. So happy to hear this. We sailed on the Magic back in 2018. It was my first time on a Dream Class. We are booked on the Magic for this coming May. BTW, we canceled a Vista cruise for the Magic.
  14. Fun fact, the Magic is the last ship Farcus decorated for Carnival.
  15. We just paid off our cruise with 5 $500 ecards from AARP. We tried applying them through the Carnival website. It said the payment went through, but after waiting a couple of hours, the website didn't reflect payment. We gave Carnival a call and they did not show any payment and after checking the ecards, they still showed the full amount. The Carnival rep applied all the ecards for us. She said they were having issues with the website taking payments. So when applying ecards or the traditional cards, keep an eye on it to make sure the payments go through.
  16. I would pick the Vista, one because I'm not into the mega ships and secondly, I love the ports.
  17. I haven't tried the Seafood Shack yet, but plan to on our upcoming cruise in May. I remember the fish and chips they used to have on the Conquest ships where I think they have bbq now. That was good.
  18. Nachi is our go to when we're in Cozumel. We strayed once to Sanchos, never again.
  19. I like the Magic 7 day to Celebration Key, Roatan and Mahogany Bay. We're taking that cruise next year.
