  1. East Coast stuff is so interesting and different! Things like the Barrens and the Kills, which I have read in books, but have never seen. Met Life stadium has a lot of rules. And you just move quickly through other states. And all of the other things that are so fascinating. I truly appreciate everyone on this thread. 😊 It gives me an appreciation and sense and enjoyment of other places. And @HBE4 if you do get the opportunity, please take a photo of the turtle signs. We both cracked up when I told Bill about them. (Edit: Never mind, I can probably find the knee high turtle signs online, too.) 😊 We used to have newt crossing signs in one of the parks. But now they just close the road during newt breeding season.
  2. Maybe Graham Crackers in the blender? Last time I was trying to make a cheesecake crust, our little food processer broke at the most inopportune time. Blender came to the rescue. 😊
  3. He is very good! And a wonderful performer and piano player. I am glad to see that he is still around and on the ships. ☺️
  4. Thanks Greg. I just miss her, and it still kind of hurts. He went on about her staying in some hospice, that was originally the home of Alan Turing or some sort of person that Benedict Cumberbatch played in a movie. Annoying. It's okay. I don't need a bunch of sympathy. She was my best friend. I was just annoyed about not knowing. And I guess I am a little down and a little sad because I will be turning 65 in June. You folks are all great! I don't need more. But it is just nice to write it down and get it off your chest sometimes. Thanks. I don't need a bunch of replies.
  5. Thought about whether to post. I lost my best friend Natalie from the same horrible disease. Friends since 6th grade. They called us "Patalie" . She had not too long ago moved to the UK with her new husband. Henley on the Thames. And we kept in touch by email. I sent her my usual birthday card and her (pompous jerk) of a husband sent me back the card and a computer letter, saying she had passed away. He said that he had posted it on FB, "But I must have missed it". I was both angry and very, very sad. I'm not on FB.
  6. We usually book Junior Suites. The new non-refundable deposit policy kind of stinks, as far as we are concerned.
  7. Just Wait! There will be more. No one hunts them downtown and all of those residential gardens have good things to eat. The local population has exploded in the last 30 years. ☺️
  8. That's too funny! Turkey hunting used to be a big thing when I was growing up. The hunters would go out early in morning with their stealth, and their camouflage and face paint and turkey callers. 🀣 And now you can pretty much hit one with your car (if you wanted to) ..even if you drive very slowly through the massive flock that is blocking the road. ☺️They are quite adapted to residential neighborhoods. No hunters, just cars to watch out for. πŸ˜€Oh yeah. They don't understand car horns either. <Just a noise. Bob, did you hear that?> You have to put the window down and yell at them. Which sometimes elicits a response.
  9. It is it kind of flattish, brightly painted gecko? We collect those to go around our guest bathroom walls. I didn't know they had them on Labadee. We've been getting them on Aruba. Thanks!
  10. Crystal went out of business, rather suddenly. I guess their ships are docked somewhere. Interesting! Thanks.
  11. Rod Stewart puts on a great show! Does he still have a very sexy wiggle? I saw him probably 45 years ago at the Cow Palace in South San Francisco. 😊 Vacations? We have nothing. We are going to spend another week at the other house for more cleanout. Drugging Bobby the cat and taking him with us. Our plan is to move some of the antiques into the garage and see if they can be sold. And ask our paid cleaner to give us an estimate to clean out the sub-basement. There is lots of weird stuff down there. Including a pink Jacuzzi bathtub and a 3-foot wooden sailing ship model in a plexiglass display case. 😲
  12. That's lovely. But kind of wet. Poor Zoey. I thought it was just kind of a sprinkle involved. No wonder they cry and get upset. Congratulations! 😊 Hmm.
  13. No, actually it doesn't. Prime does, but not Choice. πŸ˜ƒ
  14. @DragonOfTheSeas just posted an excellent and extensive live review of Vision of the Seas. Your drink discounts will be on your seapass card. And your 12 can/bottle allotment can be either soda or water.
  15. I only drink beer or the occasional Margarita or Pineapple Daiquiri, so it wouldn't do much for me either. Thanks G. We will try to go next time.
  16. What about Nevada? Although after our forced 2 years in the snow, (because of taxes) we are looking at the southeast. Taxes be darned. Margaritaville in South Carolina sounds kind of nice to us. I want someplace warm with a pool that I don't have to take care of. And someone else to take care of the yard. But I do want a house, not a condo. And a lake nearby, would be nice. So I could fish. Bill does not fish. That is the nice thing about the other house (with snow). It is only about 100 feet to trout stocked fishing from the house. Granted, it is a ditch, not a lake, but still fishing. ☺️
  17. I think it will probably go away. 3 cruises, and we still haven't been in there. I'm not really a fan of Promenades anyway.
  18. Dubrovnik has UFO's or UAP's. πŸ˜ƒ <jk> Beautiful town and great photo! ☺️
  19. Biker had the best suggestion. Scan it as a Jpeg and then use the eraser function in Paint program to remove the unneeded information. It looks a lot neater when you send it to them electronically.
  20. May 10th is indeed Wednesday. Very poor communication from the cruise line. I would think that they would have to honor the date. Please let us know what happens. πŸ˜„
