  1. I just saw it as well. Does this mean one doesn’t have to prove that they have had the vaccinations and boosters? Doesn’t that mean that more and more unvaccinated people will be amomg the vaccinated, and no masks being worn? Don’t know if this is a good idea. I’m thinking if a vaccinated person gets inundated by viruses from 4 or 5 unvaccinated, infected people…then the illness may not be as mild as it should be. There’s not much information about the effects of virus infection from unvaccinated vs vaccinated people. Has anyone seen any data on the protection effects of antibody levels? I know life has to get back to normal again, but I wonder how rough the road back will be.
  2. I wasn’t trying to give advice..just point out consequences. Guess I could lighten up…😊
  3. And that would be fun to get a ‘soft’ pina colada or ‘soft’ fancy drink. 😊
  4. I hope it doesn’t work. Do you ever think about what you are teaching your kids? You’re showing them that cheating and lying works and that you’re putting the bar server in an awkward position. You know that they’re trying to be good workers and to be liked by the guests…they have a conscience too. Kids pick up on how their parents behave and take the path of least resistance. When your kids are older teenagers and if caught cheating and/or lying, I hope you take a look in the mirror and blame the person you see. What made you think that lying and cheating works..you learned it from someone…try to break the cycle.
  5. That would be two pails and two shovels….
  6. Yes, the WJ is open for dinner. On some ships it closes down for 1-2 hours after lunch to get ready for dinner. Sometimes one side closes down and the other doesn’t…sometimes they have a Small Bites -tea time sort of set up starting at 4 or so. It just depends on ship/WJ manager…or someone’s decision….you’ll find out once you’re on the ship.
  7. I would think the same Diamond perks as the other ships. Are you looking for something in particular?
  8. Some people, and this person is not the only one, would rather give criticism than a helpful answer. It’s easy to be critical when one has no positive answer…but at least you get a feeling for what this person is like and can just skip over their responses the next time knowing they have nothing of value to add. JMHO
  9. Not in the least so don’t make assumptions.
  10. I bet alot of corporations have memberships at those place….hobnobbing with the rich to entice wealthy clients into their schemes and dreams.
  11. For sure. Most of my cruises require flying into the US and this new policy will be welcomed.
  12. I read that non-US citizens will have to show proof of vaccination. That is easy enough either electronically or with paper copies.
  13. Very good news. I read that non-US citizens will have to show proof of vaccination….easy peasy! Maybe the cruise ships will take the hint and drop testing requirements…maybe….🤞
  14. Okay, thank you! We’re going to Watertown, so the driver could come up near Kingston or go to Ogdensburg…more than likely he’ll go through near Kingston, but in case of an accident or other hold-up, he could continue further East. It doesn’t seem difficult to make the revision. I think I can do this! Good news this morning about testing going into the US…..👍
  15. Okay, I took the brave step and went back into ArriveCan…..it wasn’t difficult at all…just like you said!! But, I saw the it said that my passport was registered…true….and that my vaccinations are registered….but they’re not completely registered, only the first 3 shots. So, for entry into Canada, only two shots are required as Gnome12 says? If so, then all I have to do is correct the entry date and place of entry (I don’t know where we’ll re-enter Canada) and review the last few questions on the day we come back? Do I submit the information from the US? If so, I will have to ask what bridge of entry the driver is using. How many hours are we given for submitting before getting to the border? What happens if the driver changes his mind and uses a different entry point..after I’ve submitted the information? Or is that not an important aspect of this? I don’t go until August..I should have this down pat by then …hopefully 🤞
  16. I’ll have to try that..and now that I’m vaxxed to the maxxed , that new information will have to be entered too. I’ll let you know how it goes, especially if it doesn’t go well..🤣
  17. Thank you. I’m so nervous about all this, I’ll probably look like I’m guilty of something. But I have to get used to it if I ever want to leave Canada and get back in again! 😊
  18. Receipt Question….. Is the receipt an e-receipt or a paper, in-the-hand receipt? I’m asking because I’m taking a same day trip by coach bus to Watertown this summer. All of us old ladies will have to fill out the ArriveCan form, right? If we need a paper receipt, how do we do that? I thought that I read on the ArriveCan site that one can show the receipt from a device. Is that still valid, I wonder? I hope the day trip host knows that the bus needs wifi. Also,is it mandatory that the ArrivCan be filled out only in the US, or could I mostly fill it out while still at home, then just fill in a few things before re-entering Canada? Thank you for your help in this. 😊
  19. Just thinking….if you were in Florida coming off a cruise or land vacation…and needed a test to board the airplane…where would you get tested if not a pharmacy or lab? You’d still be Canadians looking to be tested. I have heard that an address is sometimes required, so those already in the US use their hotel address when booking at a pharmacy, or even their ship’s name. Perhaps phone the Walgreens and ask how to book. Lots of Canadians spend time in the US before a cruise and need testing. Good Luck!
  20. I’ll have to test out your theory…I have a B3B booked, I booked it on-line….I’ll wait to see if the steward mentions it first. I’m in the same cabin for all three so it’s not an issue of moving, but the in-between meeting. 😊
  21. Okay, I didn’t know that. I’ve done several B2Bs and sometimes we walk off and sometimes we meet in a lounge. I didn’t put it together that the ones outside the US may have been the lounge meetings. I will pay better attention next time as I have a few booked already. And I do prefer the lounge meetings 😁. Thank you for that information.
  22. Glad you love it, LOL…it’s all in the interpretation. 😊. If you don’t want to change cabins then you don’t, it doesn’t bother me if I have to…although my preference is not to….but it won’t preclude me from doing a B2B….and I book well in advance as well. How you saw ‘snark’ in my comment is beyond me….but people can change cabins if they have to. You prefer not to…so be it. Should I interpret your desires as being snobbish…? No, it’s your preference…since the OP is asking about doing B2B for the first time…they’ll see that they don’t ‘need’ the same cabin, if they can’t get it.
  23. Why ‘assuming cruise is in US’? Do B2Bers not do the walk off/walk on if in a different country?
