MedallionClass App Captain Circle Status problem?
ebeluga replied to phabric's topic in Princess Cruises
I'm happy to report that Ocean Ready crew called back and left a message this afternoon (yes on a Sunday, call probably from oversea which is their Monday) and informed me that the 50% discount medallion net purchase issue has been resolved on the app. I immediately logged onto the app and purchased it for my upcoming cruise. For reference, I called last Wednesday 9/28, first talked to a customer rep who seemed to have dealt with this issue before and asked her to check if I have more than one captain circle account. She checked and there wasn't so she transferred me to Ocean Ready. The rep at Ocean Ready whom I talked to also gave me the impression that she had dealt with this before and said she would open a ticket. It would take a few days and she would call me back for an update. She did keep her words! -
MedallionClass App Captain Circle Status problem?

The key is to find someone who understands the issue - it's like buying a lotto. I just called and Ocean Ready agent said it would take 45 days to link my correct account to the app. You heard it right, 45 days! -

It looks like Princess deliberately want to charge full price on elites and platinums, hope they spend the discount in the form of OBC onboard. -

I have the same issue as OP; fired an email out to the app team a few weeks ago. In my past experience with them, it took 3 months for them to respond. -
Angry about O accepting unvaxed passengers?
ebeluga replied to Flatbush Flyer's topic in Oceania Cruises
Just when the next version of vaccine is around the corner, this change of policy of allowing unvaxed with no limit is premature. My opinion only - will be cancelling my cruise as I do not want my cruise to have a higher probability to be disrupted to evac some unvax pax who had fallen seriously ill on the ship. -
If it's cash value, it will get refunded when it's expired.

Voyage Amendment - October 26, 2022 - Emerald Princess

Indeed very regrettable that they wait till after final payment to send the notice of change!! -
Maybe they don't want to take any new bookings, being the first cruise - shake down cruise, hence limit the capacity. I doubt it is sold out.

Slightly off the bike subject, does Princess allow a scooter, not the mobility sit-down one, but the kind one zips around on foot?

In theory, book a cruise as close to $900 as possible including port fees, taxes and PVP. If you can't go, under CFAR, you will get a new set of FCC minus the insurance premium.

I still have the same issue. Never did it get resolved but was unwilling to spend any time on the phone after one chat that proved the csr is clueless. -
On 10/1 when the cruise with confidence and protection program expires, if you are denied boarding because of a (+) test, will you be entitled to a 100% FCC? What is your take? According to the Princess FAQ dated 7/11: Guests who test positive for COVID-19, as well as their family members and close contacts, will not be allowed to sail and should not travel to the ship. If you, your family members, travelling companions or other close contacts are suspected of having COVID-19 and are not permitted to board, you are entitled to a 100% Future Cruise Credit (FCC). If you are denied boarding at the pier because you tested positive for COVID-19 on embarkation day, change fees and reasonable expenses related shoreside quarantine and travel home for you and your immediate travel party will be covered by Princess if not reimbursable from medical insurance, a travel protection plan or other responsible party. Any meals during shoreside quarantine will be covered by a per-diem meal allowance as communicated by a letter provided by staff at the pier. (No receipt retention is required.)

I hope you run into the medical center staff and give them a hug, prolonged handshake or something...see if they run away. You would know whether you are (+)...
