  2. @donaldscLOL so how about we go back to keys? Skelton at that🤣- Farday works great if you don't want to be tracked but we can't hide from the cameras.
  3. @oskidunkerwhy you don't want a medallion. Works much better than a sea card, your door opens without taking it out of your pocket purse or whatever. You don't have to use any other features.
  4. It does add up but you know that when booking. If you can't "afford" it don't go. We have recently had a less than perfect cruise but the staff was fabulous. They work hard for months on end and the last place anyone cruising should be thinking about saving money is on the gratuity.
  5. It will be in Europe as per the above post. We were booked on the April 21st cruise and had to move to the April 7th cruise since it leaves on April 14th to do a TA. They honored our price and gave us some extra OBC but now our friends will not be able to join us 😞
  6. Was this all in MDR? Any charge for the lobster tail? Last few Princess cruises we have been on didn't have actual tails. We are on the sailing on the 26th.
  7. Thanks for the heads up - For my January cruise I don't remember having a T&C to check when I made the reservation. It does say on the main page booking that they will only hold the reservation for 15 minutes before giving to other guests. I guess this is a good policy to prevent people from taking up reservations and then just going to the buffet etc. Especially since the E class ships have 4 dining rooms it could make a real mess.
  8. Where didyou find the T&C? When I look at the description the only thing I can see remotely is that your gratuities have to be paid before making the reservation.
  9. Update to my post- called and the only choice for our itinerary is April 7th which may not work for our friends 😞 any other dates are at prevailing rates. Hubby and I may be cruising alone. We really want to try the ship and we got a great fare so April 7, 2024 it is ....... Only 509 days away!
  10. I have this same complaint about Celebrity that there is not a real breakdown. You have to look at the confirmation in the email that is sent to you. Keep that forever and request another if you change anything on the cruise. As far as the manage my reservation - our drink packages showed on orders but then showed cancelled. Our balances have increased and decreased online with no explanation even after I call in. We have had one X cruise and we loved it but the whole booking/billing system is crazy LOL
  11. Ours now shows cancelled as well. I am going to call to see if we can get moved - I sure hope so. I have two more X cruises in 2023 so I hope they do right by us and our friends.
  12. Thanks for your posting and glad you are doing better. I hope this gets many people thinking. We just took out an annual policy that will cover multiple trips for less than the cruise lines insurance for 2 of our trips. Having been on two cruises now where someone we knew had an emergency - we know they want you off the ship with anything serious at all. They are not equipped to handle it. You need to be able to get to the best reasonably close facility. That is why we looked mainly at the limits on the medical and not worrying about the costs of the trips so much - after all it's just money vs your life.

  14. Please let us know if you hear something. I was looking to see what else was available since it appears the rest of 2024 has been released for some of the other ships. Hoping they will let us lift it to another date if it is a transatlantic.
  15. I was just checking our sailing on the Ascent April 21st, 2024 and it is nowhere to be found. The sailing the week before has also disappeared. I did a chat with a Celebrity rep and they said it is marked "code red". He said that could mean inventory maintenance, chartered booking etc. Since it is two weeks in a row I assume it isn't a charter but we got a good price on the cruise and really hope it is still on. Anyone else have an experience like this? We were told we would be notified at some point what is going on. Hoping if nothing else they will let us move the cruise to another date with same ship and itinerary.
  16. Is anyone else having issues with Celebrity's website this morning? I have tried to search cruises using various criteria and it just goes to a blank screen. I try to explore using currently booked cruises and get blanks or the Bad Request page. I've already logged out and rebooted with no luck. Is it just me??
  17. Could you at some time post copies of the daily paper with the events? Just curious what to do on those sea days. We sail in January and not on our app yet.
  18. Following as we are doing this cruise in January - just in a veranda. I will be interested to hear about the islands, we've been to all of the islands but there is so much to do and see.
  19. This happened to us just before final payment. Somehow the system deleted our insurance - if you have calculated the decrease compare it with your confirmation. Our CVP didn't know why or how.

  21. Forgive me if this has been asked previously. I just booked our 4th cruise on X on the Ascent. On our previous cruises we are either booked in a suite or I purchased the Endulge package to upgrade the drink package. Now that is no longer available so I went with the Classic package. I asked when booking with Celebrity direct if I could purchase the Premium package ahead of time. The answer was Yes but I have to do it on my own online. Soooo, I finally have my reservation but it wants $76 pp pd - I clicked on it and it gives me $1,063 total. I was told $15 plus gratuitie = $18. So how do I get it to the $18 and not $76?
  22. So as is the norm, we click that we read the passenger contract and then try to contact Princess rep to ask the question. READ THE CONTRACT you are agreeing with LOL This is in jest - pet peeve read what is given to you 🙂
  23. They now have a bid to upgrade program and since sailings are now selling out I highly doubt a free upgrade.
  24. It used to be with the Beverage package, it has since been discontinued 😞 I believe it was when they went to the Plus package being a new fare.
